@@classicarcadeamusementpark4242 more compact, better propeller design, better display, no more cables or connectors, rotate 360 to take off the battery safely!!
Finally, a display screen that can be read at normal viewing distances! The old screen style on my Travel 1003C and Cruise 2.0 (same tiller on both and interchangeable) is so tiny and my eyes are not getting any younger! Integrating the tiller into the main chassis and the "no cables" battery are the other new feature that jumped out at me. I chose with the Cruise 2.0 in 2011 for my Capri 22 because at that time the Travel family was not powerful enough. Near the end of one season, I had problems with the lead acid batteries powering the Cruise. I planned to change to lithium technology the next season. So I bought the Travel 1003C and would move it to my O'Day 19 after that season. The Travel 1003C with the larger battery powered my Capri 22 (2250 lbs) very close to hull speed in most weather. After seeing this video of the new Travel Family, its simplicity of use and available power options would have been my first choice over the Cruise models if I were buying today. Looking forward to see how Torqeedo transforms the Cruise product family next.
But can you use on a boat you keep on a boat in a salt water environment. I had an early version but the corrosion was horrific. Has the problem been rectified? Can you leave it on a dinghy tender you keep on the marina pontoon for example like everybody does with petrol equivalent? If you can address this issue I’d love to come back to you despite a bad history.
The AP is a nice to have, not a must have. Obviously, these things makes the manufacturer up the price. Overall, the new chages are certainly well welcome.
Schwierig schwierig schwierig
What was the purpose of switching from the Torqeedo Travel 1003/1103 design that had been around for more than a decade? Now batteries are incompatible. Is this a way to force older users to have to buy a new motor when they can't replace their batteries anymore? I'm still perfectly happy with my Travel 1003 motor. How long are you planning on offering replacement batteries for them? Changing the design unless there is some massive improvement should make potential buyers more afraid to buy a product like this because.......they may not be able to buy parts in the future and this is a huge investment. The Travel 1003/1103 design being out for so long was an advantage as a statement over the new competition from ePropultion and Newport. Sadly design changes in products like these are often for cheaper manufacturing costs to make bigger profits, not big improvements for the users. If you found a way to get double the battery juice or something like that, then I could see a design change.
My 1003 works great for my particular needs- ❤ but this is better designs..no cables- Yay!! I hope to be able to buy more batteries for the 1003...perhaps used on ebay?😢
Love this new design looks really good. Excited to get mine.
What's better about it than the old design?

2500 watt windbgemerator unlimited range
Is this finaly a epropulsion spirit 1.0 plus killer?
It looks great, no cables, variable setups....
Wanna know more.

Can I charge the battery while the motor is in use via Solar Panel or other 12v charging source?
Es geht!
I got my XP 4 weeks ago and it is not so shiny as they say. The Motor doesn't connect to the app. There is always a blutooth error.
My fragile 1103 cables throws errors intermittently. Tiller needs to be telescopic.

schade das es die Travel Modelle nicht als Pod gibt wie bei allen andren Herstellern

And how to you buy them when they reach end of life age?
You are missing one important feature in your motor, GPS Spot-lock.
I don’t like all that battery weight behind the transom. I need it under my seat.
dat is gewoon een groote acuboormaschine met een propellor, sory we gaan pas praaten
bij een 30kwh motor
I'll trade you my dead Cruise 2.0 for one of these. :(
Ouch! This stuff is still pretty pricey merchandise compared with gas motors right now- my 1003 is a old school item - still works fine right now
no need to fall in the water lol
bye bye Epropulsion!!!
I wonder how many Chinese are disassembling every second of this video to copy a few stuff for the next Epropulsion lol
Ha ha epropulsion is still much better, this is just torqeedo playing catch up
@@bo_mango you must be joking! For starters, there are no shallow water drive positions at all on the Spirit 1.0 Plus
