Great couple sessions lads. Found myself laughing and smiling😃😆 along with you all the way through. Lovin it👍 Crackin' bass too............regards.........Alex
Another brilliant and informative video Tom ,me and the wife fished Bembridge, this week last yr ,not much luck ,but thanks to your skill and passing down your knowledge it's given us better chance in future, we love the iow ,thanks again sir
Another great video Tom a cracking couple of bass each and congratulations to Darren on his pb bass enjoy the rest of the trip stay safe and tight lines
Thank you. This brought back many holiday fishing times at Bembridge in the '70s when I was a teenager on holiday with my parents. We stayed at the Rendezvous Cafe self contained apartments right by the lifeboat station pier (is it still there I wonder). One time there has been a king tide that washed up heaps of seaweed to the right of the lifeboat pier and the seaweed was full of maggots. The next king tide washed them out and the mullet and bass were having a field day. My brother and I also had a field day and were releasing most of what we caught. It was great fun.
Great video guys and one that will help others catch more fish, its good that you talk through not only the rigs but also the locations and why you try them.
Friends, fun and fishing, sounds like bliss. Well done on those bass, I think I might know of a few local runs like that which could well produce. Got me thinking now. Would love to fish IOW, I stare at it most days, if only it didn't cost 4 million quid to get there!!
That whole area is so fishy mate, i run down from kent to fish the iow regularly, and spent many hours exactly where you were. Theres some lovely ground just a little further out the harbour mouth, perfect for lure fishing in the waders 😉
I really loved that venue. Darren was there a couple of weeks prior to this and had 6 rays out in one session. I can see the potential is great. It's a lovely, comfortable venue, too.
Fantastic cinematography and gentle music. Quite reminiscent of the early go fishing films, just a lot more "modern". IE You'd never have found the copious gay energy this provides on 80's TV.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 He had some lovely bass. That fat one, we could see how fat it was on camera. Definitely a couple of nice fillets on that one, if it was in season.
What a great, boys, beer and bass break that looks like. Nothing better for the wellbeing. Look forward to further instalments. Tight lines
It was exactly that mate. Thoroughly needed break from the norm!

Thanks Alex. Glad you enjoyed them.

Hi mate. It was great to see you both earlier.
I really grew fond of the IOW last week. I look forward to getting back there.
It was great meeting you Tom ,we're all learning from you ,never too old to learn ,new tricks mate
Absolutely. I'm learning all the time. Part of the fun of fishing I think.
Another great video Tom a cracking couple of bass each and congratulations to Darren on his pb bass enjoy the rest of the trip stay safe and tight lines
Thanks mate. They were cracking conditioned fish, lovely to see!

That sounds like an amazing experience. Happy memories for sure 😁
Hi chaps, great video. I keep a adapted prawn pot in bembridge harbour, full of crabs in 30min
Nice. Bait? It's a really lovely harbour.

Thanks mate. I try to add a little advice in with the entertainment!
Great Fishing as always, im looking at going down Milford way Next weekend, not been out in ages cant wait.
There's been some cracking rays coming out along there. Lots of dogs too!
Hi Tom and Darren you both ok, well done on the bass . Great vid spot on. All the best from GRIMSBY
Hey Carl. Thanks mate. You managing to get out much?
Nice session and nice to have you visiting the Island 👍
Thanks mate. Will definitely be back, we really enjoyed the venues.
Great vid thanks lovely stamp of bass 👍
Thanks mate. They were lovely chunky fish.
cracking vid mate nice chunky Bars tight knickers
Cheers dude. They were in superb condition, especially that butter ball Darren caught.
Some cracking bass Tom, if I’d known you were coming we could have met up, I don’t live far from there 😩. The main channel is really deep 🐟🎣
And I don’t want to mention the chavvy trainers 😂😂
Yes, we were surprised just how deep the channel was! Definitely a bass motorway!
Tell me more about the chavvy trainers please? 😂
Where to start 😂😂
Great vid lads.... Nice to see simplicity for the bass. And weren't the fish of outstanding quality? Really nice specimens 👌
They were superb mate. Really took us by surprise. Very enjoyable. I do think the simpler, and of course lighter, you fish, the more enjoyable it is.
Bass on 🎣🌊
They sure were!

🤣 £4m! You must have had some discount then?
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 🤣🤣🤣
Good skills kids!
Cheers gramps

Yes, we had a good look around and it looks amazing. So much variety in a small area.
That’s our secret spot blown!
By the looks of it, the island has a huge selection of venues, I'm sure you'll be fine!
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428not many 2 minutes from the pub, cafe, toilet and free car park. Top fishing guys for this early.
Another great video mate, cracking fish what size hooks were you using. ? tight lines mate 🎣🐟🎣
2/0 matey. You can go a bit bigger of you like though. They've got big old gobs!
Quality bit of bassing gents, lovely looking venue it looks very similar to Mudeford.
Do you ever use soft back crabs for your bassing, Tom?
Yes, I actually love a softie, or a crinkly! One of those baits that lots of people put down, but for no reason. Fish love them!
Agreed mate, I love them for close in work. Was always my job as a kid to find the softies whilst my Dad dug the worm.
Still way off my pb bass 16 lb on gardan worm fishing for salmon in river tawe morriston swansea about 9 years ago
😲😲 that's just showing off!!! Lol
Love it guys. Whens part 2 out? Did You fish sandown for a blonde ray?
We did. Part two is out, matey. Not quite the session we'd hoped sadly.
@christchurchanglingcentre5428 awesome, I'll check it out now sandown is very local to me
I really loved that venue. Darren was there a couple of weeks prior to this and had 6 rays out in one session. I can see the potential is great. It's a lovely, comfortable venue, too.
Should’ve let me know when you were on the island, I would have had two dozen peelers off you,!!!! .great video
Ah, sorry dude.
Were you fishing the tide in or out mate
In. Out is usually a big no no in harbour entrances.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 so a couple of hours in from low tide pretty new to this
So near but so far!
You are in Bournemouth, I’m in Southampton. But it’s fished so little.
A bridge too far…
It's frustrating, hey. If the ferry wasn't so expensive I'd fish over there more often.
Fantastic cinematography and gentle music. Quite reminiscent of the early go fishing films, just a lot more "modern". IE You'd never have found the copious gay energy this provides on 80's TV.
Did you remember your passport? 😂
I did. Darren didn't. Idiot. We had to go to the embassy to get him in.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 He had some lovely bass. That fat one, we could see how fat it was on camera. Definitely a couple of nice fillets on that one, if it was in season.
@flamintasty it would have eaten very well. But as you say, out of season, so off she swam.
Next time give Egypt Point a go at Cowes, few Blonde Rays in the last couple of weeks
Nice, thanks mate. Will get on Google maps and do some research.
