I wholeheartedly agree! I am finally learning to do brush lettering because of Becca! The "rules" are so helpful. It's like someone is finally showing the rules to the game! Flourishes are my next practice.

This is a fantastic video! As are your others! I did a course last January at my local are college and while I loved it and have continued to self learn and motivate myself and love Calligraphy, my course was not that great so when I see such an in-depth interesting and useful video it makes me sad that my course was so blah. For fellow beginners- the Rhodia 8.5x11 grid tablet, 80 sheets is $17.27, Amazon.
Target has the same for $2.98
Staples also. It’s called reversible graph paper.
Maybe the Rhodia is worth it for advanced, but for learning/practice, there’s a $$ saving tip.
I do calligraphy will the calligraphy pens. I'm working on learning brush calligraphy. Do you recommend me to also work on adding flourishing at this time or wait till I can master calligraphy with ink/pen and the brush method?
