Great tank Shaun. The brown stuff that was growing on everything is brown diatom algae.

well done. Echinodorus grow randomly even in the same tank. My SAE still are quite the algae eaters even at 4 +and 2+ yrs of age.

Thanks for the input mate :), yea my Echinodorus just randomly seem to decide how they want to grow.
THats great news, I have seen a lot of people say their SAE stopped eating algae but mine is constantly nibbling at stuff he finds growing in tank.

Too little plants for such a big tank.. get a lot of fast growing stem plants..too much nutrients in the tank and guess u have powerful light.Reduce the light timing and don’t use any fertilisers for sometime..
