I really like your concept for this video. I just dove into the criterion closet rabbit hole about 2 days ago, and analyzing the films picked in almost a reaction video format is really unique and useful for narrowing down some films I'd like to see. I hope you keep doing it, and pop off as a creator as a result. Cheers.
Great video! Love Ayo, love your analysis. I'm sorry you feel frustrated that not enough people are watching your videos. That does sound incredibly frustrating. I really appreciated this one though.
Great idea for a video. The only ones I have seen are Thief, High and Low, and Charade. All of which I give 8/10. So obviously I don't agree with you on Thief. But i agree that the most entertaining one is Charade.
I think this was a smart idea because I watch those in the closet videos all the time now and I'm watching them and don't really know what some of the films are and I think this is a good way of putting people on with new films.
-I like Bottle Rocket. -The only Juzo Itami movie I've seen is Tampopo. So that's that. -I've tried twice to watch Thief. Didn't finish. -High and Low. Great movie. My second favorite from Kurosawa behind Ran. -That last one with Danny Glover, how you describe it, on the surface it sounds vaguely like Hitchcock's Shadow of a Doubt.
May i recomend my closet picks? I know about cool movies im a genius just trust me 1.umberto d 2.forbidden games 3.good morning 4.bob la flambuer 5.ride the pink horse 6.solaris (any version) 7.that nikatsu noir box set

Appreciate this! I am working through Andrew Garfield's picks now.

Thanks for the comment! It Seems like I'm in the minority in regard to "Thief", it has a 4.1 on letterboxd, which is really good.
@@kindofafilmmaker Oh well, there are probably other movies there with high ratings that I wouldn't agree with.
10:11 two stories - a structure you had never seen before? What about Chungking Express and Fallen Angels?
