Between the prepared list on her phone and the Radiohead t-shirt I feel like this was the closest the comments section has been to having one of us in the closet
@@Arawn505I’m surprised she still listens to Radiohead after them being so vocal with supporting Israel’s current genocide. Ayo has spoken out against it.
@@MK_2023. What you're saying here is not right. If you have criticism, for example, on Jonny Greenwood doing those recent concerts in Tel Aviv, then say that. But don't grossly oversimplify things by saying that the band is "so vocal with supporting Israel's genocide". Come on, man. This is such a complex, messed up conflict, no need to only add to the polarisation.
And Spike Lee and Denzel Washington are remaking it. Hasn't that basic premise (kidnapping the wrong kid) been done elsewhere more recently? "Full Circle" on HBO?
She's so relatable/normal it's refreshing. I feel like I am sitting in a class in college and we are all sharing our favorite movies and she's just another friend/classmate.
Don't watch Tampopo on an empty stomach. I first saw it in 1985 in a theater in San Francisco's Japantown. Walking out afterwords I was so hungry when I found myself surrounded by Ramin shops and other Japanese restaurants.
The NYU dramatic writing degree jumped out!! Loved hearing her insight, and i loved her shouting out Nigerian creatives! I'm going to recommend Eyimofe for my dad and I to watch.
Eyimofe is such a great film, and I’d argue the first properly good Nigerian film to ever be released. I sincerely hope we get made films of that quality out of Nigeria soon. It’s very much lagging behind considering how huge Nollywood is.
She is a true cinephile. Very knowledgeable and absolutely infectious. She seems like she would be an amazing person to watch movies with. I bet she was voted most likely to succeed in her high school; she's definitely doing that and rightly so!
Ayo’s been killing it lately; from her TV/movie/voice acting roles to the episode she directed in The Bear which was my favorite of the season. Not to mention, she has the best LB reviews ever 😂
Ayo is definitely my favorite rising star to break out within the last couple years. She's incredibly funny, clever/smart, and personable/relatable. Her Letterboxd account is as phenomenal as her stand-up and her performances on film and television, in theaters and on streaming.
The last few closet videos have been excellent. Great hosts devoid of arrogance and sharing their views with us. I could listen to this lady talk about dozens of films in that closet for hours very happily.
Off topic but it’s so refreshing to see a Black woman reach her level of success just being herself and without being sexual or stereotypical. She’s so important to me.
Her taking out the time to shout out Eyimofe, a Nigerian movie on Criterion really makes my heart sing 🥹 Ayo you are you who you say you are, we love you!
I remember following her on Letterboxd and honestly I’ve never seen an actor so relatable in their love for movies, i mean QT talks about old movies all the time, but Ayo feels like any of us, just so eager to watch movies and so happy to talk about them, her excitement about movies really lightens my day, she seems so nice and joyful and kickass and also happens to be extremely talented and beautiful. So glad to see her getting the acclaim and love she deserves

watching these as someone who doesn't watch movies is fascinating. It is similar to the enjoyment of listening to someone share excitedly about an animal you've never heard of or a country you've never been to before
The Bear is very accessible, its stressful but you’ll get into it very quickly. Bottoms is not for everyone, very quirky goofy gen-z comedy but super enjoyable, also you’ve probably heard her voice work on the latest TMNT movie, or Inside Out 2, and a guest role in Abbott Elementary was also in Theater Camp. Besides that shes got a lot lined up so im sure you’ll see her somewhere eventually

I’d dream of even having the chance to, lol, she’s such a radiantly joyful fun extremely talented individual, its cool to see her receiving a lot of acclaim and love for it too, she’s had an amazing past two years
