Anyway...I agree. I don't understand why someone is NOT making a collection of these short Sci-fi, horror films...and running them on Netflix or Amazon. And all those very visually great music videos. That would be awesome.
I guess this is some old school vampirism in which everyone who was drained by a vampire rises as a vampire, so it spreads easily, all it takes is a vampire being overwhelmed by hunger and/or out of blood conserve supply to make him drain a person and make a new vampire.
If they do, I will stop watching. The fact they are short makes them appealing. You don't spend an hour and a half on one film only to find you didn't like how it ended. With short ones, you get the payoff (or not) quickly. Though I don't take even that risk and go to the end right off to see if the story may be worth my while. Of course, that doesn't always work so I still get dissappointed. It works even less with a feature length movie. That's why I often got to "The Movie Spoiler" site to see what it has to say about the plot of a movie. Has saved me a lot of time with movies I know I would not like. Also saves me from having my buttons pushed by a film or video. That happens even with the videos I take a chance on watching. When it does, I let it known in the comments in no uncertain terms. Including some Alter videos. That helps a lot. Makes my view known and lets off steam. Were it not for the comments section, I would probably stop watching them altogether. Or at least most. Sometimes the little snippet you get by hovering over the thumbnail will give me enough clues as to whether watching will be worthwhile. Not that it always works out, but it helps.

I'm sure if they make a full-length movie, they'll still continue to make short films. This shows the lengths that a mother would go to - to take care of their child. Mother's instincts override any logic or reason. A mother that truly loves their child, faced with this type of situation, would kill anyone if it meant the survival of their child. When i was little we didn't have money. So when we did eventually get food, my mom would make sure dad and I got the most food and she'd always give herself the smallest amount. Of course one day she got sick and I took care of her just like she did for me. She felt bad because she felt like she was burdening the family but then i reminded her of all that she had sacrificed and that taking care of her was not a burden it was the only way I could ever pay her back for all she had done. A mother's love is unconditional.

I disagree. Watch her body language when she argues with her husband and in the final post-credits scene. She clearly loves her son and it hurts her that her husband talks down to him because of his "condition". Also look at the scene where she carefully checks whether he has sunblock on and all before he leaves the house and urges him to continue school even if he is depressed and considers it kinda pointless now that he is a vampire. That is 100% a caring loving mother, maybe even caring a little bit too much. Also then end scene doesn't look as if he took her blood by force at all. I guess draining her by bite will turn her into a vampire, too, and she reluctantly embraces sharing this with her son.

I am guessing that the father was at least part vampire (not sure why 2 normal humans would spawn a vamp kid), but he definitely lost his way. Awesome short - 10/10 or 5/5 or lots of thumbs up!!!!!!!

I’m usually far from a fan of any stories about vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. However, I really enjoyed this. The acting was phenomenal, especially the mother. I loved the masks at the auction. Overall, definitely a solid A from me! I love how it sounds when she says “just go to work!” at the beginning 😂!

Ya know, it could be the kid was not actually ungrateful for that glass of blood. It may have been unsuitable for any vampire. In "Interview With the Vampire" it is stated the blood eaten must not be drawn from the dead. Blood bank blood is drawn from the living so it is OK to use. She would have most likely gotten that blood _after_ she murdered her husband and not while he was alive. So that may be why it tasted bad to him. It wasn't that he simply didn't like it. It was actually harmful for him. Tasting bad is often how we knew a food is not good for us way back when. That's also been my theory on liver and hominy and I'm sticking with it.
My take on this movie...by John Denning. Someone (the movie maker) got stoned on some really good weed, and made a movie about some people speaking a strange language who drank the blood of others, sold at auction to the highest bidder, all of whom were wearing masks to disguise their identities, so that their kid could succeed in life. But, at some point, vampires started stealing the blood. So, the mum got ripped off, and gave her own blood to her son, who didn't like the blood, because his mum was a smoker. How did I do? JD

They really put some creativity in choosing the title. Instead of writing 'Blood' they chose 'Thicker than water' which makes it more dramatic.

I could never get used to drinking blood..I tried it a few times,but it was too coppery. I then tried to chase it down with Vodka..but drunk and wanting more blood was a bad combo. Some people are bloodaholics,then go to BA and tell how they sank so low they drank the blood of animals they trapped. Just degenerates!

Ya know, it could be the kid was not actually ungrateful for that glass of blood. It may have been unsuitable for any vampire. In "Interview With the Vampire" it is stated the blood eaten must not be drawn from the dead. Blood bank blood is drawn from the living so it is OK to use. She would have most likely gotten that blood _after_ she murdered her husband and not while he was alive. So that may be why it tasted bad to him. It wasn't that he simply didn't like it. It was actually harmful for him. Tasting bad is often how we knew a food is not good for us way back when. That's also been my theory on liver and hominy and I'm sticking with it.
My take on this movie...by John Denning.
Someone (the movie maker) got stoned on some really good weed, and made a movie about some people speaking a strange language who drank the blood of others, sold at auction to the highest bidder, all of whom were wearing masks to disguise their identities, so that their kid could succeed in life. But, at some point, vampires started stealing the blood. So, the mum got ripped off, and gave her own blood to her son, who didn't like the blood, because his mum was a smoker. How did I do?
