Hi , as i Turkish person who lives in Istanbul, i should say that you made a great video about Istanbul. I don’t know how did i find this video but need to say that you guys are more than welcome here in beautiful days to spend Kindly leaving here a note as a Turkish woman too : don’t trust all the taxi drivers and try not to have a conversation with them to show that you are tourist. , try to shop in local places for cheaper prices and better qualities. Explore Anatolian/Turkish brands to buy food/clothes/souvenirs rather than buying global brands. I’m sure you will love it You can feel free whatever you want to wear that’s for sure. As a woman we can wear whatever we feel like but as tourists it might make you more comfortable to wear street style casual wear in transportation, street walk and visiting mosques etc :) And finally I should also mention that as in every country/region/nationality you can see good/bad friendly/rude people here. So don't set your expectations TOO high about kindness:) I’m sure you will love istanbul’s atmosphere Enjoy Istanbul everyone!
I have lived and studied in Elazig, Turkey for a couple of years. Turkish people are extremely beautiful people. My Professors at the Firat university treated me like a family member. Mehn I have some wonderful memories that I will never forget.
REally enjoyed this video, such good tips. But, we were there with my daughter in law, who is from Mexido. She tends to wear shorts, and short skirts alot, sorry to say, we had alot of problems with men who kept staring at her legs, etc. My son had to walk with her, my husband in front of her and my other son followed behind because it was so uncomfortable. Dress a bit more appropriately, no short shorts, of course, some of these problems were from Arabic culture/countries, unfortunately. She will not go back, though we go every year.
5:42 For 10 as i am turkish. You need to wear socks. You can't go there by bare foot its unrespectful. And you need to wear clean socks like you can't wear a bad socks in there. (exapmle: White sock with yellow dirty scoks. But if you are poor, there is no need for those :)) (btw sorry for my bad english)
You don't have to like their "Elected president "by the way he is NOT Dictator, the best president ever, elected by the people, and I'm sure next year HE will be elected president again,...again by the people,
You started your video with a very wrong info. The OK sign means OK, it is nowhere near an insult, let alone be a grave one. Unless, you flip the direction of the sign downwards and make the circled part up and the remaining 3 fingers down, which than means a derogatory term for gay. And quite a lot of especially Turkish men folk would not like it.

Thanks for clarifying:) And your English is absolutely fine 😊
why would you insult Ataturk.. the dude has been fantastic - it's the new dictator that we should insult
as a Turk I absolutely agree with you

Thanks. In any part of the world when invited to someone's home it is rude not to eat what is offered to you.
Haha that's true, however some take it more serious then others... like here in Germany.. not a big deal.. other places, a bit more 😊

Don"t leave your shoes out of the mosque. Trust me. Carry them.
"You will probably have to pay extra because you are a tourist". Umm....I think I'll pass on that then.
Not bad but you forget to mention the most important thing is Turkish national Flag, ohh yes we Turks are ready to die for our Flag.
so true 😊😊
No 1. Don’t go there.
Turkey 🇹🇷 is wonderful place. Don’t pay heed to this dude.
