My 6th grade teacher was one of the meanest people I've ever met. I got strep throat at the end of the school year and we had a science fair exhibit I was supposed to turn in. Feeling like crap I stayed up for 2 days working on it so that I wouldn't miss it. She accused me of having my dad build it (which he didn't). She took me aside to the school office and yelled at me for a very long time and told me I was worthless and would never accomplish anything in life. She gave all the grad students a copy of "Oh the places you will go". In the inscription she wrote about what a terrible person I was. She was most defiantly the anti-Christ.

Or? Find her email. Send her a video where you channel Bob Ross and happily remake the project in as pleasant a tone as possible. This is set up for the finale where you look at the camera and tell your teach that you'll keep this in your car, so that if you ever find her? You can shove her nose in it.
Let her know the price of her actions.

For those of you #curious, "antichrist" comes from the Greek "anti-" meaning "against" and "christos" meaning "the anointed ones". It wasn't used to describe a single individual until long after Nero had died. The theory that "Nero" was "the" Antichrist is a modern construct based on the characters "Nero Caesar" convolutedly "adding up to 666" if you convert them into Hebrew then pray real hard, which doesn't matter because the "Number of the Beast" is "616". It was changed by Jerome to "666" in 405AD to spite the bishops of Constantinople and we have the earlier copies to prove the change.
Yes he was simply an antichrist, I think The Antichrist will be similar to how Jesus came. Jesus sent prophets before him and Satan had corrupted other men to bring mass suffering and misery. I think people like Alexander the great, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin. All of these man were an antichrist but not The Antichrist
But the original "number of the beast" was the aproximate total number of commandments some jewish/hebrews religions follow.
And was changed to 666 as a joke number to be less discriminatory.
Right?

I mean i wouldn't fault people thinking that Israeli military commander was the Anti-Christ. He looks like a friggin' James Bond villain.
In Israel we like to think of him as a pirate
The same goes for khomeini. That guy looked incredibly scary, like an evil sean connery.
I honestly had no idea people thought Moshe Dayan was the antichrist, I always just knew him for his cool eyepatch 😂
In case you didn't know, it was literal anti-israel propaganda that made use of the fact that in Islam their version of an anti-christ (even though they don't believe in the same Jesus of christians) is called ''Dajjal'' and is supposed to be blind in one eye.
The problem is that Moshe Dayan didn't have any of the other characteristics that islamic sources claim to be descriptive of their ''Dajjal''. But why not lying about it in order to demonize your enemy when you can do that so easily?
Anyways, the most interesting thing is that during the Six Day Israel manged to send Jordanian forces back into Jordan and recaptured Temple Mount (which is the Holiest Site in Judaism, a place Jews weren't allowed to visit as per the orders of the long list of foreing rules that ends with the muslims' Ottoman Empire).
Jordan had been occupying that area for the last 19 years, known as Samaria and Judea (from which the very word Jewish comes from) and that Jordan renamed as ''West Bank'' and from which the quite ancient residing jewish communities were expelled from and in which jews (not israelis, bit jews in general) weren't allowed to enter.
When, during the Six Day War, Israel, led by Moshe Dayan sent back the Jordanian to where they came from, he then chose to maintain control of the city but to let the Jordanians maintain the administrative role of Temple Mount, as an act of good faith.
If Moshe Dayan had a fault, it was that of being naive towards the hope of peace with the arabs.
Israel should've yes maintained the freedom of religion for muslims, but it should've kept Temple Mount under Israel's control and let the Jordanians kick rocks.
And I say this because this act of good faith resulted in the arabs committing archeological crimes in which they sent excavators on Temple Mount and tried to destroy ancient Jewish artifacts and now claim that there wasn't any even though new discoveries are regularly made and even though even the lslamic rulers themselves wrote that ''the jewish history origin of that site is undeniable''.
To this day, Jews are not allowed to pray in their own Holy Site.
Them visiting their own Holy Site is restricted to certain hours of certain days.
And the access of non-muslims to the site is restricted to one single gate, while muslims can access from 11 gates, at all hours of every day.
And quite often, when jews visit Temple Mount, terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the ''Palestinian Islamic Jihad'' shoot hundreds of rockets into Israel's cities as they want this Jewish site to remain under Islamic control.
If Moshe Dayan had been less naive about the arabs a lot of this could've been aboided and today we could've had jews and muslims praying there together instead of continued discrimination of jews in jewish indigenous lands and sites.
So again, his only defect was that of being too naive. Far from being evil or even the Dajjal. But propaganda is a powerful weapon that the arabs use to this day on the international stage. So these narrative of the past shouldn't be a surprise.

An antichrist is just a person that claims to be Christ like but does or teaches that which is antithetical to Christ's teaching. So, if there were a leader that say, was boastful about his wealth, encouraged hatred and division, went out of his way to demonize the poor, marginalized, migrants and refugees, and constantly lied, led people to believe he was doing the work of God and mislead millions of Christians into doing the exact opposite of loving thy neighbor, forgiving their enemies, and not judging others....

The Nero one makes sense. The Bible was written in two languages originally, Aramaic and Greek. The number of the beast is 616 in Aramaic and 666 in Greek. Fun fact: Dante Alighieri put Saladin in Limbo, not Hell, the only Muslim in the Divine Comedy to not be put in Hell by the author of the Inferno. Vlad the III of valacila a.k.a The Impailer: Am I a bloody joke to you all?!!😡
He says “everyone believed” or “everyone was convinced” as if it was canon or unanimous.
The Antichrist is like that one villain in a show everyone keeps theorizing about making an appearence.
@@ProcyonNite You’re right. He’s like an archetypal figure in many narratives, as is the hero/savior, the great mother, the wise old man, etc.
Right. Procopius was a single person who wrote a single mad piece of writing. I don't think Justinian was ever regarded as the Antichrist outside of that crazy work.
When I was a kid my super-evangelical family always had these crazy prophetic preachers on TV like 24/7 (this was right after 9/11) and literally none of those end times "prophecies" came true.
No, they just mathed it wrong. Instead of multiplying the mark of the beast 666 with the 11 apostles, they were supposed to multiply each 6 with each other, add the 11 apostles, divide by 3 for the holy trinity, subtract 2 for both the antichrist and the betrayer, take the logarithmic square of the resulting number, then replace it with tomorrow.
It was the same for me except I grew up in the 80s/90s and none of _those_ End Times predictions came true either.
I still grew up with intense anxiety about anything related to Armageddon or the end of the world. I’d stay up at night convinced that when I woke up in the morning my family will have been raptured and I’d have to face the Apocalypse all alone.
@@cetomedo IT WAS RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF US THE WHOLE TIME!
News Flash -- None of those "End Times" prophecies EVER came true -- but the Climate Change Deniers' stupidity will probably change all that -- in just a few years from today.
When I was kid and throughout my school years. I always being told that we live in the end time. They said, the signs of end time were happening. Like war would break out in arab land,(this was early 2000 btw) muslin will be oppress, then come the Messiah that would lead Muslim to victory, ect.
Tbh, I definitely believe that it happened really soon. in my life time. At least that how they projected it.
It took me awhile to figure out that all the generation before me were told the same thing and perhaps they also believe that the world gonna end during their lifetime.
Every global event is a sign of the end. Latest generation probably have the COVID-19 and russia-ukrine war or Afghanistan as their sign of the end of the world.
In short. it's BS
Very interesting video, as always, but I once read that Julian the Apostate was killed in battle, charging without armour. Could you please tell me who his soldier who killed him was? Perhaps it's an alternative version I haven't heard about?
Anyway, I really love your content. You're a fantastic creator, I wish you the best.
I really like that you are showing a wide range of historical and cultural events and subjects. I know a lot of these things (studied History in college) and made connections back then (I wanted to teach), your videos are so relatable and easy to follow and understand ❤😁. I love unusual and unique facts, etc. Love the biblical topics! ❤👏
You skipped Obama - the was a HUGE one for Evangelicals when I was growing up

No Christian ever pointed at Obama. People who do not know the Bible, love to throw accusations. But those of us who understand the Bible and understand prophecy also understands the antichrist would come out of Europe, the old Roman empire.
And it is a whole lot of things that has to be in place first.
Those markers are being put in place now with the digital currency, sexual perversion, selfishness, violence, desire for one world governmental system.... They're still more things to come, but with Russia Iran and Turkey together well we know that the time is now upon us.

Reminds me of Ur-Fascism by Umberto Eco specifically .07 “Thus at the root of the Ur-Fascist psychology there is the obsession with a plot, possibly an international one. The followers must feel besieged.”
Christo-Fascism is deeply embedded in American politics.
Amen to that
Purging Christianity and by extension all Abrahamic and perhaps even every single religion on the face of the Earth is the next natural step for the progress of mankind. The Christians should feel threatened indeed, they're the ones that'll find themselves in an apocalypse sooner or later.
Alright, UA-cam leftist- you quoted _Ur-Fascism,_ now you have to put a quarter in the jar! 🫙
I've read an interesting remark about conspiracy theories some time ago:
A conspiracy theory sees some evil plan made by some evil actors under the surface of the things that happen.
If you contrast this with religious believ: This often sees a good plan of a good actor (god) under the surface of the things that happen.
So a conspiracy theory is kind of a religion in reverse.
@@joachimfrank4134 Christianity in particular has satan, so it fits both ways.
You forgot
Mr. Crowley!
You forgot the big one Frederick II.
A distinction has to be made between the spirit of the antichrist and the actual anti-christ - who will be a person in power in the end times. The spirit of the anti-christ is anyone who does not believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God who took on human form, to reconcile man with God through his crucification - 1 John 4:3.
Thanks for the clarification.
I don't think the bible even talks about "The Antichrist" as a single person, but rather "the spirit of the anti-christ" really with just anyone having sentiment against the Messiah Jesus or his followers in some way for no reason other than them being followers of God, rather than cases of them being hypocrites or something... I don't think there's anything in the Bible that indicates or prophesies that a specific political figure will take over the world in the way you usually hear people talking about this terminology. I'm a covenant theological Amillenialist for the win fam. Any claims of 'rapture' or someone being 'The Antichrist' TM or Jesus' return in specific year XXXX I have very strong doubts about.
Religion for Breakfast has a very good video on this subject, if you haven’t seen it already
You might interpret in another way, but the revelation speaks of two beasts one getting power from satan and the other praising the first beast as well as tricking people and making them worship the beast.
To me it sounds like there was a concept of an antichrist and then it is suggested that Nero is the antichrist (or the other beast getting power from satan and someone under Nero is the antichrist)
They say it like "hey, here is this pair of beasts serving satan and they will demand worship and will mark you and prevent you from trading. BTW the beast is a man and it's number is 666, only by accident connected to our great and loving emperor that is famous for his brutal treatment of Christians and his obsession with being worshipped (smart will understand)"
The Bible says there are many False Christs. Pseudo Khristos is the term that is usually translated as Anti Christ. But a False Christ is sneakier than someone who is just against Jesus. Pseudo Khristos is what is being discussed here.
Around 400, St. Augustine said the Catholic church is the real church, despite the real Jesus actually saying it is not in this place or that, but within you.
He kept talking about his works of prayer, about ancient philosophers, apparently about establishing God's Kingdom on earth, but he didn't talk about the Cross, a great Work of the Savior.
@@jab9109 I’m just used to either 1) fellow Christians don’t talk about Revelation period or 2) that’s all they talk about and their is a demon or unfulfilled prophecy from God around every corner(met someone who thought God told them they’d marry a radio star. Spoiler alert: just like Joseph Smith failed to build his church in 1877, they didn’t marry a radio star.) All sicknesses are caused by demons and thus people who have ailments that could be cured by doctors that by God’s providence have the knowledge to help them with such simply solved things as antibiotics for an infected wound, impossible in other millenia but possible today, they die as if they lived in the Middle Ages because they believed if they got help from a doctor God wouldn’t heal them, despite the fact God knit that doctor in his or her mothers womb as well and allows them to have the knowledge to help people… these are the kind of people that say the Antichrist is a person, other places in the NT mention the term antichrist but it is not used towards indicative of a person but a ‘spirit’ so if anything it’s a demon that possesses different people at different times or influences multiple people rather than a coming of a specific person who is in every way opposite Jesus. theses descriptions of the mark of the beast and the antichrist are so vague that they can be applied throughout history in a stretching manner
while technically that may be true (since he isn't referenced as "the antichrist"), that doesn't mean that the bible *hasnt* spoken about a coming one world ruler who will persecute the saints and whose authority comes from satan.
Rather it has spoken quite a few times on this issue. See:
. Genesis 3:15 (notice that both the woman and the devil who decived her *has a seed* who will war against each other)
. 2 Thess ch 2 vs 1-12 (talks about both the coming son of perdition as well as those who will follow him)
Daniel 12:11 and Matt 24 (for this to be fufilled there needs to be a world ruler responsible for this)
Revelation 13 (beast of the sea)
Revelation 16 vs 12 -16
Revelation 17 vs 9 - 18

It was Nero by intention though. I believe the numbers even had something to do with him. Religious texts are always speaking of the time they live in and the politics they are a part of.
Nero is a type of the final Antichrist. As Jonah, Adam, Elijah, David etc are types of Christ. This is how prophetic texts work.
@@anon8638 Yeah thats the problem prophetic texts don't work. Otherwise Jesus would have come in the life of his disciples.
Also fun fact. The "Tomb was empty" because the romans let people rot on the cross and buried them all in a mass grave. It was an important part of the punishment.
@@Go4Noctis why did Jesus have to come again in the lifetime of the disciples? Reference?
No, a wealthy citizen paid off the soldiers to take His body and put it in the tomb.
@@anon8638 I believe you would be executed via crucifiction for such an action. So that doesn't really track.
Mark 13:30
@@Go4Noctis well if you were one who believed Christ was their true God, all the money in the world to pay off a soldier would mean nothing. It would be quite easy for the Roman soldiers to cover up, the whole point of a mass grave that it’s inhabitants are anonymous. Easy money for them.
Mark 13:30 refers to the generation Christ is talking about, not the generation in front of Him. This is quite clear from the context. If I tell my friend about big tree Africa and say “this tree is 40 feet tall”. Am I talking about the tree in the garden in front of us, or the tree in Africa?
