Thank you for supporting the channel ♥ If I've done my job I've inspired someone to chase their dreams!
Happy ending. Camco makes a 'flying insect screen' that covers the RV furnace vents to prevent rodents entering the system. Seems like an easy assurance doesn't happen again. Love the videos, I think Ive seen every one associated with repair/improvements....solar install, rear dinette replacement, Max fan install. All very helpful. Keep them coming.
"THIS GUY", needs to cut bait, and move on. ( JMO ) This relationship is OVER.
It is a requirement to be handy when owning a camper of any type. They seem to need constant diagnostics and repair. I’m glad Sweetie was able to do her infamous ending!
Thank you so much for telling us to look away. I can hold a snake in my hand but the very thought of a rodent (let alone the sight of one) puts me away. Thank you again. P.S. Yes, I know that is not normal.
if you have one mouse you more just saying
Great that there is a large exterior access panel rather than just an exhaust port, probably saved you tons of removal to access from interior.
I gotta remove the entire furnace to get at mine due to this reason
The big online store has borescope cameras that attach to your phone. Pretty handy for this kind of situation. I had a good laugh!
That's a good idea, I think I'll pick one up
Great job of detailing how you carefully diagnosed and fixed the problem. Thanks!
Dude? Stop! She isn't that into you. Do you and sweety
So glad it wasn’t a costly repair!🥳❤️
The minute I heard that noise I knew it was a mouse. I had the same issue with a Jeep Wagoneer. Mouse in the blower cage. Whole different issue getting that one out.
Good informational video. You make fixing items so easy. I’d had extra screws. Lol
Nice when it’s a simple fix!
That sounded like you started a lawn mower inside the RV. What a racket. Good job in the fix. Alan
Hi David, you always explain how to try to solve your own problems. It makes us want to at least try to fix things ourselves. Thanks! Good to have you and Roe back on UA-cam. Safe & fun travels! 👏❤️😊
Dodged a bullet Safe travels
Get a screen cover over the vent. Easy prevention for future entries through the intake/outtake exhaust hole.
It's nice to see you back on Utube!
Very good video! Practical advice. Very well presented, David.
Good troubleshooting. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for all your instructional videos. They are so helpful. Stay warm.
Ok David, now you need to figure out how the little rodent made its way into the heater. Maybe it was a hamster looking for its exercise wheel. No matter what it was, you need to screen over its entrance.
😮😢😅😅😅😅
We will no longer call those squirrel Cage fans
it is now called a
mouse cage fan😊
So glad you guys are back on UA-cam. Like Tim Gifford said, get a vent cover for the Furnace exhaust. They can totally jump in through that hole.
Well David since Roe has now her own rv. She had to hire you to fix her furnace. I hope you charged a hourly rate plus the service call too. And I hope you also had a burial for the mouse as well. And had to also charged Roe a undertakers fee as well. Rving is not cheap. LOL OH. I also forgot since it was at 4 in the morning. The cost is double. 😂
🙄 Come on, man!
@@MisterMikeTexasHe's joking around, calm down dude 🤣
David I guess you don’t have sense if humor
Mine had a mouse in the wheel and many broken blades and it woke us up as it did you had no idea what was going on it was the loudest noise and shaking whole camper ..
Have you two thought of trading the 2 rvs for one large rv? Seems like double the maintenence, gas, driving, etc.
I think they wanted 2 separate rigs for their own space, similar to a man cave and she shed.
I can understand that after 💯 years of marriage!😁
@cherisparkle I can't speak for them and what their situation is. Obviously we all are speculating. But my husband and I have only been married for 3 years, together for 7, living in a 24 foot trailer for 4 years and I'm pretty jealous of her having her own space. I would absolutely love to come home to a girly trailer where I can do yoga and read and be in my own little world 💞
My hubby has a man cave room and I have a mom cave room. But of course we don't have 2 drive them both around and have lots of gas and maintenance costs either.
Let her do her own troubleshooting. She wants to live apart from you she needs to learn to deal with her own house. Sorry but that last vid of her just pmo.
What a hater. You pmo.
Squirrel cage fan not living up to its name. I had to clean out a bunch of debris out of my van's blower. No unalive mammals, luckily.
Yeah that's a mouse cage fan
now you need to find out if their
are other mice in the RV
I can't stand dealing with dead critters feel horrible. Rather it been the fan if it was me.
Yeah it wasn't great finding a dead animal in there, that couldn't have been a good way to die. But we put him outside on a rock away from our campsite so a vulture could at least make use of him. There's tons of condors and other carrion birds in the area.
Thank you so much for this video! Husband and I woke at 3 am this morning to this very sound. We have been having a mouse problem.... got him! Sorry for the mouse but thankful it wasn't something worse.
Gie te k8s a reak. We don't know the whole why? But i can tell you ater 61 years of marriage everyone needs their own space someimes. And living in a small camper you can't get it. So two campers will help that. Plus they both have jobs. And need their own ofices. Lets encourage them not discourage them. They are smart and will figure it out. Goo luck with your endeavors.
My Cougar furnace had a bad sail switch and doesn't have outside access panel. Not a easy job removing furnace but redid the wiring which was too short and had to be cut. So next time will be a snap.
Question: Has it been your experience to UA-cam a problem to resolve it or do you have a manual to check into first? It has been a most informative video! Thank you for sharing!
Tuned in today as form of escapism. I'm fighting a losing battle with mice that have already damaged my home furnace twice this fall. What do I find? More mice! Hahaha. Fought them also in our tow vehicle fan and in camper. Mouse defense seems like a hot topic.
Before you said mouse, I yelled out "frog". We had a frog in our home furnace that was making the same noise. Scared the crap out of me when I saw it staring at me. It was a little dried out when I found it.
^Thank you, and welcome back! You were missed.
We had a mouse get into our trailer on our last trip. If I had taken video of us trying to repeatedly find it and get it out, it would have tallied a million hits on UA-cam! It was comical. I f-ing hate mice!
You also want to disinfect the fan and vent duct (Check for and clean out rodent droppings so you ensure you aren't endangering your health)
We had a mouse just like that a couple years ago. Crazy how much noise it made.
There was a friend of mine that had his furnace went out on him. He was telling me how expensive they were I told him that they have a lot of old ones clear in the back behind the dealer he did get one from the dealer and it was way cheaper
First thing I thought of was a mouse in in the motor. Glad to see there was no damage to the fans. You got lucky.
The relief I felt when it sounded like you guys share sleeping quarters was HUGE! And hearing Roe in the background was a very welcome sound. Love you guys. I am particularly interested in this video as our furnace started making that noise.
Thank you for your help 😊
I want to see Roe !
after watching the last video, bring on the " BROKEN Blower" comments.
It's the furnace squirrel cage. It blew up. It's made of cheap plastic. You can replace it with a metal squirrel cage. Okay mice instead. Sadly it's just a matter of time before the plastic squirrel cage will implode. You can replace it with a metal one that will last a lifetime.
