Dude no one has used a Springdale more than you! I swear they should give you a brand new one with a slide 😉 😉 😉
👍 I was thinking the same thing 😊.
Hahaha thanks! I love my Springdale and want it to hold up for as long as possible!
I think the older ones were made better than the newer models. Take care of your Springdale David!
Looks pretty good David. Glad you said the real solution to the bad butyl tape is complete removal and replacement. Keep the good stuff coming.
I have done what you did to replace the vinyl cover. I would also suggest that when replacing the vinyl, do not stretch it at all, it will shrink. Also, I have used exterior wood glue with a toothpick to make the screw hole tighter also, works on those screws that keep turning while all the way in the hole.
Those are great tips, thanks for sharing!
break up plastic anchors work well to no rot
Good job, David. Thanks for the tutorial
"Cold and contracting", kind of reminds me of a problem George Costanza had: "I WAS IN THE POOL!!"
Shrinkage!! 🤣
Would you be better off using white replacement instead of black? Do you have any tips on how/where to measure for the correct size trim? I have a 2020 Winnebago 2108DS with cracked trim.
David, I just replaced all four corners on our camper about a month ago. Great minds think alike 8)
Very nice! Yeah it's an important thing to keep on top of since there's a big potential for water intrusion if left alone
👍
Thanks for the info I checked mine today they're still in pretty good shape.
Can you show the dicore(?) after it flattened out? Still, these are great videos.

Even worst, the corner cap piece is often small enough that the metal siding can shrink out from under it. At this point, you end up having to totally remove the corner piece and re-seal everything underneath.
Good job David!
Thanks!
