If it’s of any interest to you, the name is a contraction of two words: attendu (awaited) and deux (two), so literally: the awaitwo. Anyway thanks for your reviews, it’s nice to have an objective and fairly critical PoV on products to help make sense of the marketing claims. I wish you had included a post-test feedback of these releases though!
Arc Système has been in existence since 1989, and has directly manufactured compound releases, in particular index release (2 barrels on ball bearings for fine, reproducible release) 100% Made in France. The numbers on the picker sizes correspond to wedding ring sizes in millimeters, so you can tell from a ring whether it's better to go for an M or an L, for example... This is not the result of copying, but the use of an international size reference used in the clothing industry.
@@jcbousignac hello and thank you very much for the information. Arc Systeme is all but non-existent in the US, so it's nice to see that other countries are coming up with their own original designs 👍
@@ajbholsters2035 The good thing about the American market is that it is driven by bowhunting, whereas in France and many other European countries bowhunting is less developed, it's a niche market like target archery. For example, the French archery federation has only 80,000 members in a country of almost 70 million inhabitants, and there are only 30,000 bow hunters in the country. Several brands have been created around target equipment, but they are not lasting, apart from Arc Système, Uukha, Beiter and Mybo, which are holding up thanks to quality and innovation... As for the manufacture of compound bows, which are very dependent on the hunting market, to my knowledge there are only 2 European manufacturers: OK Archery in Germany (with a bow costing almost 3,000 euros) and MyBo in the UK (Merlin). I'm not counting Decathlon compound hunting bows, which I doubt are from France or Europe... US brands seem to be marketing more and more, with new models (Hoyt, PSE) every year that supposedly ‘revolutionise’ the market, and every year the price of bows rises by 20%. 20 years ago, on half a median monthly salary, you could afford a top-of-the-range compound bow; now, on a median monthly salary, you can afford a mid-range bow. As a result, Chinese compound bows are starting to appear in competitions (topoint, sanlida). The future arrival of a trade war with large-scale customs duties will make US equipment less and less affordable in Europe, unfortunately in my opinion, but perhaps this will create a development opportunity on our continent... If you'd like to discover the entire Arc Système range (I have no connection with them, I might add), click here: www.arc-systeme.fr/en/
I have the 304P and to get a better thumb button position, I removed the thumb button bracket and just fitted the button on the arm coming out of the release. Just an idea but it work for me, thanks for taking the time and sharing...👍👍
Thanks for the suggestion. I find it odd they decided to machine that piece just to put the thumb barrel in that position. They could have set it up to flip it over for more options. To each his own, I suppose 👍.
@@ajbholsters2035 It was given to me as a gift so I can't really complain about it.. But it really seems to fit my hand nice, so I guess it's not all that bad for a company I had never heard of before...
Being always interested in archery products outside of heavily marketed mainstream USA branding ( I am in Adelaide, South Australia) , I have owned this latest L'Attendeux hinge release in the M size, but same as the Stan Onnex in the M size, even with my average size hands, it pinched from discomfort. A superb release otherwise, so if the sizing is on fit, well worth considering. Arc Systeme also make an aluminium model hinge, their BT4. Nice ! I have been shooting with their Arc Systeme SX200 sight for years, & consider it top quality, & at a far smaller price than other brands.
Thank you for the insight. They are an intriguing brand and hopefully in the future I'll have a chance to delve into them more deeply. The US market needs to give it a rest and stop putting out new products every year so I can catch up 😜.
Hi, thanks for your video! I’m really interested in the l’Attendeux hinge and wondering if you can help? Do you think a Medium or Large L’Attendeux would be closest to a HBC Medium /Onnex Large/Goat Medium (which fit me nicely)? Also, it looks like the L’Attendeux hinge’s fulcrum is closer to the middle fingers than the HBC and many other hinges, so kinda like the UV Hinge 2, or Onnex Hinge. Is this correct? Also what is the neck length like? I loved the feel of the Hinge 2, but the neck length ruled it out for me. Any help hugely appreciated!
Hello and thank you for watching. I only have the Medium, so i can only judge the sizing based on that. The Medium L'Attendeux is maybe a touch larger than a Medium OnneX, but not as large as the Large OnneX. So if a medium TRU Ball fits you comfortably, then I would probably go with the large. As for head angle, it is very similar to a HBC (there's some shared DNA there, I think). Neck length is almost identical, so it should anchor similarly to your GOAT and HBC.

Thank you for watching and for the translation. I'll see about making a followup video on these and how they perform. Thanks again 👍
