I'm the only girl in my baseball division, having a hard time competing with the boys, never been the strongest hitter. This helped me a lot, worked a lot, and put it into okay in a game, and hit a nuke in the gap between center field and left. Easy double scoring every runner. Bases were loaded with 2 outs. Let's just say I wasn't hated for once
Find a Women's fast pitch hardball league. You're gonna struggle increasingly in a men's league. Men lose strength last. I'm assuming you're young. You won't be able to keep up long. Keep playing. Best game, sport, experience, and you'll probably love baseball fields forever.
Another excellent video! You make the essential points crystal clear, as always. I didn’t play baseball as a kid; I was never able to hit the ball and I come from what was a basketball family. Back then, there was no UA-cam for my dad to learn, as I have, how to teach me. I was a football guy. My son, however, is all about baseball and since he was 2 had a knack for hitting a moving ball. Your videos have allowed me to teach him the skills he needs in order to successfully play the game he enjoys the most.
It’s always nice to hear men out here doing what they can for their kids, especially coming from a family with not one in sight. Hope you & your son enjoy a fruitful & fun life playing games together my guy. 👌🏽🤙🏽
Been looking for tips to help my AAA kids and I have found the ultimate (no pun) baseball training video series that explain things so clearly. I can’t wait to start these drills with my kids. Thanks for putting simple easy concepts that will make a world of difference. The kids mostly hand /arm swing and I want to show them how to use there whole body and this is it! Cheers
I can’t stress enough how much your videos have helped me in baseball. I have improved more in a couple days watching your batting videos, than I have in several months. Thanks 😊👍
Coach Justin: Your videos are always top notch. Very helpful. Too many kids fly off the ball thinking the swing is purely rotational. This is why the "bat throw drill" is so important, (and so underutilized). It emphasizes your last point in this video. And that is the point of failure of so many hitters. Keep up your great work.
Your swing is incredibly clean and precise, displaying exceptional technique and form. The fluidity and efficiency of your swing are impressive, resulting in consistent and accurate ball contact. Your ability to maintain balance and generate power in your swing is commendable, leading to impressive distance and control. The smoothness and grace of your swing indicate a high level of skill and training. Overall, your swing is a testament to your dedication and mastery of the fundamentals, showcasing a polished and effective approach to the game.
I’ve hit 6 home runs in this fall but none have Ben a very powerful home run so thank u for helping me gain more power I saw many changes after doing these things
Im 5’10, 170lbs. Thin build and play recreational city baseball. I consider myself a powerless hitter even though i work on my mechanics alot. I spray some hard liners down left and center field but cant really get the ball to carry deep into the outfield. Very rarely when i pull it i can squeak one to the fence at a short left field park thats 300’ ft. Some guys on my team are shorter but stocky and can drive the ball over 400’ ft. I will try these tips and hopefully i get some power.
Trying to teach 5-8 year olds..I absolutely love it when parents yell elbow up..and the kid misses...I calmly tell the kid to block out every thing, I remember the basics and your tips, watch these youngsters bat speed increase and they hit the ball..I then send your vids to the parents... Like you i could care less about the elbow is as long as the hands are shoulder high, and the walk away from their hands
hey thanks for the tips i wasn't getting too many hits this season but i had a game earlier today and i used what you said and i ended up hitting a double and i hit the fence thanks for the help.
I wish I knew this stuff growing up. Gym teachers never taught us about generating power with legs, and LAG with the bat. I started to learn about LAG when playing golf and watching golf videos.
I remember years ago when I would watch this dude and he really helped me pick apart my swing and I improved my swing so much I even had the best batting average in my team and I was getting so much confidence and then during summer ball I was getting prepared for my junior year and 2nd game of summer ball I break my collarbone sliding into second base and I never played another inning of baseball after that😔
@@data9594 I would love to pick it back up but life just doesn’t allow me the time to play. Hopefully one day I’m in a better place financially that it allows me to pick the sport back up.
Haven't played since I was a kid. Now I'm teaching my kid things and want to make sure he's learning properly. I also see some similarities between this and punches/kicks.
Interesting! In hockey, during a slap shot or wrist shot, wherever you point your stick blade after the release of the shot and through the follow through, is where the puck will go! So are you saying that one shot not drive through the contact point and allow full body rotation like a golf swing?
I think the only point I would add is on landing the front foot slight open on the balls of the foot. The swing “starts” when the heel is dropped or driven down. The kinetic chain goes from foot up through the leg to hip, hip rotation starts and needs to be forceful, up through rib cage, to shoulders then last hands.
The problem with my swing is that my hands go faster than my hips and my swing ends up with mostly the power of my arms (which aren't very strong). What drills do you recommend to get better at using your lower body more while batting?
Your hips shouldn't be going forward. Your back hip should fire and your knee should fire down. Your hands should stay inside and and you should turn your barrel through the zone causing your arms to extend. Most people teach incorrectly such as the person that made this video. This video is incorrect and creates bad habits. If you want me to send you some videos via Instagram I would love to

Justin Can you explain why several home run hitters look like they over stride - by having their front foot end up on their heels after the follow through of the swing; rather than a stiff front leg and front foot staying on the ground after the complete follow through of the end of the swing?

Hey bro Ik what field ur at
I love the analogy of throwing a bucket of water towards the pitcher. I never heard it put that way. Great video.
I thought the same thing
That’s a really good way to teach kids
I use that for myself when I’m golfing, keeps me from casting…..do kids today throw buckets of water at each other?
When I was told to use my legs and core like I throw a frisbee .. to get that solid straight line .. that's when my hitting got 10000x better.
