    - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a condition that affects people's behaviour. People with ADHD can seem restless, may have trouble concentrating, and may act on impulse .
    - Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) is a condition in which a person does not respond normally to sounds, smells, textures, and other stimuli.
    - Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is widely understood to be a profile on the Autism spectrum, involving the avoidance of everyday demands and the use of ‘social’ strategies as part of this avoidance. PDA individuals share Autistic characteristics and also have many of the 'key features' of a PDA profile.
    - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a common mental health condition where a person has obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours.
    - Tourette's Syndrome (TS) is a condition that causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements called tics.
    - Anxiety is a feeling of unease, worry, or fear. We all feel anxious at times, but anxiety may be a mental health problem if your feelings are very strong or last a long time.

My son is 3.5 and he’s on the spectrum. He just started talking in the form of echolalia. He says some things but only my husband and I can understand him. Your videos are so inspirational. So glad you’re back. It’s so nice to know that you and other viewers can relate to what I’m going through.

Hello 👋, it’s Goldie from across the pond on the west coast of the USA 🇺🇸. This was an excellent, informative vlog, as always. I learned so much & I thank you for being such a wonderful instructor. My beautiful Grandson, who will be 4 years old tomorrow, is on the Spectrum. He has also has been basically non-verbal, but is just beginning to say a few words…which is exciting! I enjoy watching you interact with your children. Please take good care, may you and your family stay safe and God bless you all. 🤗💖🥰

Luca you have described ADHD very nicely. And I can definitely see a lot of talent in you..maybe we will see you become a famous actor in the future..who knows!!!Thank you for all the videos you make...its not easy to share ones most vulnerable parts of life with an audience...but in doing so you are able to teach fellow special needs moms so so soooo much that sadly sometimes even professionals can't!

Hey Luca ! My son is 10 and hasn't been able to go to mainstream school for 5 months. We are in tribunal for specialist placement it's been an absolute nightmare. Add school trauma onto autism . Plus a recent assessment revealed one of the highest pda scores the clinician had seen. We have the best kids ! They just need now demand. I'm like you ! I'm an Irish mum living in the uk. I am like you ! I try and make things flexible as the control is real !!!!. So much so that my son started to orchestrate conversations or requests so there would only be one answer and that would be the one he wanted !!. I teach him about " sometimes " and " maybe ". And " plan b" ! It's slow but he's smart as a whip. Wow !!! It's so challenging and I used to feel so sad but I'm glad I know because I want to help him . And I've had to throw out the mom book on parenting. So we rewrite it to suit us . Love your videos x

My son just got diagnosed with ADHD. I have been studying about his situation through any available platform including yours but doc just see my son for 1 hr and diagnosed him and ask me to think about medication. I am not ready to do that. I know he has attention issue & do only the task that he likes. and he cant read social cue. But his teacher said he is more settling after a few months of starting school.
I just want to try therapy and some training instead of straight away to medicate him.
You are helping us a lot and i am so grateful for that. Pls keep doing what you are doing and pls shed some light on ADHD topic too .

    • @ComingHometoAutism

If you can stay calm and say it’s ok and make a game of it it will help. So build something up and then get him to knock it down so he sees that things that fall can get back up again x

Thank you so much for this video. My 5 year old girl has ASD, anxiety, SPD (seeking and avoidance at the same time) and not diagnosed but I think OCD. Did you ever have any problem with your child not liking their name? My lil one loves character names and they change many times each day and she gets upset if you use her real name. Her school has been very understanding. I thought it was a phase but it's been about a year and half.

My six year old son is Autistic PDA and has SPD and anxiety, and he definitely has OCD traits too, especially when he's stressed about something. He has refused to be referred to as his given name since he could talk. We have used only his chosen name for the last three years now and it's used in all circumstances. It's been so long I suspect his chosen name will be his forever name now, and he'll change it legally when he's old enough.

    • @krazykrissy128

@@emmahepburn7831 yeah with mine it's like she is in her own world. And she assigns not just her a name but everyone else around as well. It's gets difficult because not everyone knows tayo the little bus characters or whatever. And also she won't tell you her name, we have to guess" are you a bus, a car, a train" it gets very complicated. It's like a game to her, and I hate to feed into it, but it's like pick your battles. Do you want her to be happy or upset all the time, and also if I use her chosen name she complies with chores or commands so it's just easier.
