headgasket is the only thing that can pose as a problem here. if the topbolts or not changed to stronger ones, the top can rise and cause blowby, hurting the headgasket
What injectors are running and have you updated the lift pump ? Or is it all boost pressure with no go because it’s not been set up right with the correct fueling ?
mine is a A4 B7 2.0TDI from 2005 with 140hp. Its a shame this engine is very fragile and not made for tuning like this. i already had to change the cylinder head because it didnt stand the stock power
I went through everything with this engine and I can tell you everything you need to do to get a good engine out of it: Aftermarket AMC Head ( Mine was with 'C' letter and yet still cracked ) Upgraded oil pump from later model Full egr delete (cooler delete & racepipe) Oil cooler upgrade PCV reroute to catch can Swirl flaps delete After you do that, you get the 1.9 reliability though with bigger pistons, 16 valves, better injectors and overall a better engine. But, at what cost..

stock ECU can be used for everything.

Those engines have problematic heads. Get a C reference head instead
