I made a rucksack for my 50kg Labrador out a motorcycle tank bag 40 years ago, as I felt he needed to be carrying his own supplies on our day-long walks. He was beyond grumpy about it and, at 50kg, if he didn't want to do something it wasn't happening.

I'd love to make my smug spaniel pull her weight on walks rather than making me carry her gear, but she is a proper bog dog and shrub inspector so the bags would get wrecked after one trip. Great review though, lovely pups.

do you feed your dogs redbull instead water? they're so full of energy (might load some kilos onto the pockets to wear bruno out - or some styrofoam-wings so he can learn to fly); never heard of the ruffwear-backpack, but seen similar (withouth the "wooly what are you doing down there??"-2nd strap)

I do have an One Tigris Harness for our American Bulldog. Love it as the system can be fine tuned and adjusted with various pouches as it comes with Molle loops. The pouches are also not dangling around as with your system. Another advantage is that the whole „rocket“ area is free so there’s no chance to hit something with the golden shower….

He certainly seems happy with it on. My GWP took ages to get used to his. Initially he would just sit down and refuse to move but he eventually got used to it. I used the harness with a long line up in the mountains because he was a sheep chaser. He wouldn’t go pee with it on so that wasn’t an issue for us. Sorry, I guess that’s no help.

I think you need to tighten the front strap to pull the whole thing forward. But looking at it on him, you look like you need a size down.
