Refreshingly unpretentious review when so many video reviewers seem to be pushing their own personalities at the expense of the usefulness of the car review. I don't have much vested interest in the Mahindra as we don't have the brand in the UK where I am, but I do like it!. Strikes me that the car is more flawed as a 6/7 seater than it would be as a 5 seater though, which makes me wonder why it has 3 rows of seats (is that a deal breaker in Australia?). If the 3rd row could be folded right out of the way under the floor, or be easily removed, it would probably be worth having them "just in case". But it seems that the Scorpio isn't big enough for a 3rd row, so should just have a rear bench along with a much bigger boot. The passive safety I'm in two minds about. Yes it is useful to have, but at the same time it does rather allow drivers to, not be concentrating on driving as much as they should, be knowing that the car will bail them out. Here in the UK, the Dacia brand has been criticised for a similar lack of passive safety features, and fares poorly in Euro Ncap crash tests because of this. But Dacia have deliberately done this to keep the prices low and in the event of an accident, they certainly seem to hold up fine.
This is a Dependable, Value-For-Money OffRoader Family Car, with extremely low maintenance and a Superb Brand Equity in India to back it. For those, who spend more time Driving and Exploring...
Car journalists keep talking about some of the safety tech this car is missing. There are 1000’s of cars on the road we have driven for years without that safety tech and it’s never been a problem.
Requirements for a five star safety score in Australia are getting harder and harder so we think it is worth mentioning, but there are plenty of cars that are safe just not 2023 5 star safe.
The problem with Mahindra is that, they are not ready for foreign markets and the market in which they are doing good, they are not being able to supply the demand, this car has 18 months of waiting period here in India.
Mahindra is just copy pasting India specific product to Foreign Market with out changing any thing in cars, They can add extra features for extra price, price will not be a problem in AUS or any other FM but they are not serious about the FM.
Mahindra should just keep two rows and 5 people can fit easily. The middle row can have a large seat than two independent seats. Remove the third row and keep it as large boot space. The third row is literally for enemies. One of my friends bought this car and I along with another person got stuck in 3rd row and as 6 ft tall person it was not really comfortable.
True..I'm proud of Mahindra and anything Indian but sometimes I wish Indians leave international channels alone and let international audience have their opinions and discussion
Absolutely INCORRECT about the "diff lock" 🤦 It does NOT have an auto locking differential. What it has is a BLD (Brake Lock Differential) system which does NOT lock any differential. It just brakes the slipping wheel, and then the power goes to the other wheel. That's it. The actual differential is never locked. The Fortuner and Everest come with an electronic (not automaric) diff lock that you have to engage by pressing the diff lock button. Please reaearch a bit before making such videos.
Thanks for watching, just to clarify, Australian-delivered Scorpios are equipped with an auto-locking differential, but this unit can also operate as a brake-locking differential depending on the operating conditions. There is mechanical locking capability, however it's only auto-engaged with no driver engaged manual lock.

For people who say safety features are lacking. Safety features doesn't make a driver good. If the driver can't drive perfectly and crashes into something at 150 km/hr it doesn't matter what safety features you have. You will definitely die.
Thanks! - Sam
This is a Dependable, Value-For-Money OffRoader Family Car, with extremely low maintenance and a Superb Brand Equity in India to back it.

Is the Scorpio the most popular off-roader in India? - Sam
9:29 looks good 😊
This an excellent professional review!👌
Nope. A noob review. How? He doesn't even know the difference between an actual diff lock and a brake lock diff system.
@@RealAutoReviews Not sure what you mean, this has an Eaton auto-locking rear differential for our market, like the Pik-Up.
Thanks for the positive reply!
I would love to see this in US
It definitely needs a more powerful engine then. Current one is very reliable though.
They are scary lol
Car journalists keep talking about some of the safety tech this car is missing. There are 1000’s of cars on the road we have driven for years without that safety tech and it’s never been a problem.
Requirements for a five star safety score in Australia are getting harder and harder so we think it is worth mentioning, but there are plenty of cars that are safe just not 2023 5 star safe.
Mahindra Scorpio N Is Best Car 💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥 Nice Product From Mahindra
He said that there is no safety in Australia, but in india there is all that in the scorpio
At the end of the day when you got into accedent what matters the most is build quality and airbags not the adas
Adas prevents accidents genius
Here before, Cringe comments from my countrymen
Edit: Here they came
Ok boomer
and the 100's from the Sub continent pumping up this vehicle for no apparent reason.
True..I'm proud of Mahindra and anything Indian but sometimes I wish Indians leave international channels alone and let international audience have their opinions and discussion

Mahindra cars are one of the best off-roader in the world. The way this car manages the toughest terrain 🙌 . Outstanding car made by Mahindra ❤️
How is the rear parking camera ?

Absolutely pathetic and laggy

Need more dealers in Sydney. Only 1 in Kirrawee.
Also check Mahindra thar-e and thar roxx
Now a days traffic on the roads in australia I don’t think anyone is using torque at all😂
Absolutely INCORRECT about the "diff lock" 🤦 It does NOT have an auto locking differential.
This SUV is much better than Toyota Fortuner , Escalade, and other SUV in the cheapest price
What a joke😂
Haha you’re joking right? You get what you pay for lol
Can the third row be removed?
Yes
Hey,
Just want to highlight.
If anyone did notice the car crossing a cyclist @ 1.55 min, however I didn't see the same cyclist after the car has passed..
Old model is Legend but it is sold as scorpio classic but no 4x4 due to emissjon norms only 2wd
Felt more like an Everest review 😅
I love these car all thing that a family'car a perfect family car thanks to mahindra for these price if they are manufactured in you own country
You said the word but more times than price of the car but it's a nice review
Love from India 🇮🇳
I hate the side opening rear tailgate, it's a nuisance in tight spaces and usually you are in tight spaces most of the time in urban areas. Mahindra should change it to a top opening tailgate like the xuv 700.
They should launch it as a 5 seater.
Best review . Please review xuv700.
Mahindra is doing research on best safety,in India We have 33 crore gods , Mahindra will give every buyer one god ...so no need of mechanical AI ADAS.
Every review i see from Australia i hear there is no ADAS, then why they love to drive, see the performance.
Any non professional off roader can do off road highly comfortable and with ease.
No manual off roading skills required.
I think they should provide 1 pedofile muhmd also😂😂
Make Comparison video
Why do motoring journos crap on about 7 seats. The Aussies family consists of mum, dad and 1.8 kids. We had 3 kids and only ever used 6 seats, so the Scorpion is spot on.
Love the captain chairs too.
I owned 8 landcruisers in my time, but have stopped buying them due to Toyota greed. I would buy one of these next time around
Good to see #Scorpio N an Indian Brand but we are this model in 31799.98 dollars little bit cheaper bro......
The lack of safety is concerning. Impossible to drive without warning chimes going off. I would be worried in a quiet car.
People still drive Suzuki

TBH the no safety tech, even in a car at this price point, seems outrageous in today's market.

Thank God for that.
A budget Everest is literally what this is if u didnt knw Ford was the one who helped Mahindra build the ScorpioN and Xuv 700 (700 is a budget ford explorer change my mind)
in India toyata fourtuner and ford Everest and pajero
really competitor in India is MAHINDRA's ALTURUS❤❤🎉🎉
Not Scorpio 😅
Wishe we had those in US
1:16 Mahindra Australia has done a sensible job of removing front speakers from the driver & co-driver overhead position. In India, Mahindra Scorpio-N is offered with front speakers right on the head (on the outer width of both the sunvisors) and boy o boy do we see water seeping in through that speaker cut-out right into the cabin 🤡🤡
It is the z8 variant they also have z8l variant with the Sony speakers
@@harshitchandra6340 matlab Australia wale bhi chhat se paani tapakte dekhenge ?? 🤣🤣
@@prakhar.29december Is water seeping in even on normal rainfall? I don't think so. People literally took this vehicle under a waterfall and made videos that water is seeping in.
I have few friends with same model and they haven't had any issue even on heavy monsoon rain. A few things here and there but they seem very happy with the buy.
This what I can accept from arun pawar fanboy. Arun makes entertainment car videos not informative. Watch gagan choudhary video about this

why r u comparing scorpio N with ford and toyota seven seater suvs ,look at what value is delivered at what price ,
by comparing with others u just watching negtive points .compare it with it's price competitor not with segment competitor
For people who say safety features are lacking. Safety features doesn't make a driver good. If the driver can't drive perfectly and crashes into something at 150 km/hr it doesn't matter what safety features you have. You will definitely die. Unless you are driving a f1 car no car can save you at high speeds. Mahindra is strong enough for the normal speeds i guess.
