書寫山 圓教寺（西の比叡山）兵庫県姫路市 第一部（Shoshazan Engyoji Temple (West Hieizan Enryakuji Temple.Part 1) Himeji）

第一部では、仁王門から摩尼殿までを収録しています。
書寫(写)山 圓(円)教寺は、兵庫県姫路市にある寺院です。
創建は、康保３年(西暦 ９６６)と伝わっています。
西国三十三所の第２７番札所です。
創建当時の圓教寺は、「書写寺(しょしゃでら)」と呼ばれていたそうです。
その後、花山天皇(西暦 968～1008)の勅願により「圓教寺」となりました。
多数の重要文化財があり、西の比叡山と言われているそうです。
貴重な文化財の中でも、摩尼殿、大講堂、食堂、常行堂などは、一見の価値があります。
圓教寺は、映画やテレビドラマのロケ地としても有名な場所です。
圓教寺には、源義経に臣従したと伝わる武蔵坊弁慶が修業をしたという伝承があり、それの逸話などが残っています。

Shoshazan EnGyoji Temple is located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture.
It is said that the temple was founded in the 3rd year of Koho (AD 966).
It is the 27th temple of Saigoku Sanjusansho.
When it was first built, Engyoji Temple was called Shoshadera.
After that, it was changed to "Engyoji" by the imperial request of Emperor Kazan (AD 968-1008).
Many important cultural properties are preserved here.
It is said to be the Hieizan Enryakuji Temple of the West.
Among the valuable cultural properties, the Maniden, the Great Auditorium, the dining room, and the Jokodo are worth a visit.
Engyoji Temple is also famous as a filming location for movies and TV dramas.
There is a legend that Musashibo Benkei, who is said to have been a vassal of Minamoto no Yoshitsune, trained at Engyoji Temple, and there are anecdotes about it.
