There are people who play The Blues then there are those that FEEL The Blues. There isn't a single song of his that feels forced. Every chord speaks to the soul!!!
Say THAT! Look at the expressions on his face. That's FEEL not FAKE. He is having sex with that song❣
YOU SAID IT! WAS THINKING THE SAME THING, HE BECOMES ONE WITH THE SONG, ANY SONG, THERES PLAYING ON TOP OF A BLUES THEN THERES GETTING INSIDE OF A BLUES....NEVER HEARD HIM OUTSIDE OF A SONG! CLAPTON SAID, HE SAW 2 PPL WITH A NATURAL FLOW, GARY AND JIMMY HENDRIX, I LOVE JIMMY, BUT THE MORE I LISTEN TO GARY? IF I HAD TO CHOOSE ONE, I THINK ITS GARY! ONLY BC OF HIS STYLE I LEAN MORE TOWARDS GARYS SOUND AND THE FEELING OF HIS PLAYING, SO SMOOOTHHHHHH....BUT ITS VERRRRYYYY CLOSE...
That’s because he speaks truth
True dat
RIGHT ON…
If you like the blues this is your man.
Eric Zapata. Unjustly outrageously underrated. What a beautiful soulful player
I can't express how it pleases me to hear Gary playing a Tele.
First thing that popped to my mind also
I'm assuming he is doing this becausee the song is originally done by Albert "Iceman" Collins, also known as the king of the telecaster
+Max Malmgren that's it man!
So used to Gary w humbuckers it is refreshing. I agree with the Collins ref, it must be why he is playing Tele but the bite, it is perfect
@@PlAyInSomeBluez The Master of the Telecaster* :P
#GaryClarkJr. The blues man for the millennial generation. You are a breath of fresh air. You be showing out on every jam. The thing I also enjoy watching is your effortless playing. It appears so easy for you. I believe you could play that fine instrument in your sleep. You are that tremendously gifted 😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎸🪘🎹🥁🎺🎷💝💚💛💙💖💜❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇨🇱
#GaryClarkJr Magnificent playing blues man. You out there showing out. But, if I could play like that, I would show out too 👍🤱🙋👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎸🥁🎹🪘🎷💝💚💛💖💙💜❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇨🇱
Im in my 70's. i have had the good fortune to hear many of the old masters up close and personal. I wish Gary Clark the best.
Check out kingfish. An even younger blues artist
I wish he did a collaboration with gary.
Muddy, Hooker, BB, Prince, Jimi and all soulful guitarists before Lives ON in this man!! He's a Prince and a King, literally! Love him. Thank you Gary for heeding the call!
Can't believe you guys are actually complaining about anything here. This music rocks!
Thanks for your comment, completely right.
They might * have the right to complain when they have successfully played before the thousands here... His music is great !
Who is complaining?
Dean Albenze no shit right. They cut everything down
Some people go through life refusing to be satisfied about anything. They're not worth our attention; Clark Jr. definitely is.
Oh, my, that strut! Best modern Blues man in my opinion.
Him or Marcus King. Samantha Fish isn't bad either
This guys are not joking. The whole band is killer.
Anyone that does not like this just don't know shit. This guy is awesome!!!! A blues player. Love Love it! That's my shit!!!!
I dont know if your married, engaged or single.....I think I've met my match.
I need to listen to this tune three times a day to function properly...breakfast, lunch and dinner.....by the way, which part of the world are you in
@@christosthomasraounas2761 I am a Texas girl. Me too I Love the blues. What a shame we lost Stevie Ray! He was awesome!!! I just discovered this guy he is really good.
I am so glad I found Gary Clarke jr 🎸
#GARYCLARKJR #IFTROUBLEWASMONEY Magnificent playing blues man. You out there showing out. But, if i could play like that, i would show out too 😄👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎸🥁🎹🎸💙💝💛💚❤️💖💜🇨🇱
Mr. Clark's Music takes me to a place where there is no ugliness I am white and went through the segregation in the 60s my ancestors do not make me proud of their greed and superiority of other races including the American Indian and other indigenous tribes in other continents your inner soul shines through your music and I'm very glad I found it thank you
I’m Native American 🇺🇸 and I totally agree. 🌹💜😁
AMEN
he gives me hope for our future. we are quickly digressin'. 🎵 music is "food for yours/mine/hers/his/their's... and apologies to all those i may (just may?) have of overlooked, k? soul". not everyone likes the same food. (now, allow me to state the obvious), k? there's not the one of us who can survive w/out it... ☮️eace....
and, oh, yeah! this is Robin Goodfellow usin' Brent's phone 📞, k? k...
.k
Just to make things clear your ancestors weren't slave owners maybe your grandpa was but your ancestors are European and we don't do slavery
this might be my favorite blues solo on the internet. Gary just sits in the same fret position for the entire thing, but absolutely nails the tone. sometimes less is more!
That's how the real pros do it. Focus their brainpower on the expression rather than moving along the fretboard
Same key and lock of Red House
Zapata’s solo?
The true hurts, those who hate or dislike like this song are the reason they won't accept the mistreatment of blacks throughout slavery up until now. Gary Clark is a throw back. He plays the blues with such truth. Love or hate him, his music is TRUE WORDS SPOKEN 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
CGJ & the other guy on the Strat - WOW!!!
Still amazes me…
Every time I see multiple people complain about "the entire comment section bitching about something" I can't seem to find the posts or it literally stems from one comment. Let's all shut up and listen to this amazing musician.
I will sleep better tonight knowing Gary Clark is around the blues is safe and sound once again thank you kindly that lead guitar just ripped the scar off my soul god bless the telecaster then and now the future is looking brighter come on lets go........ my mother use to tell me there be days like this.....Zapata /s rhythm a perfect blend .....love it ..
Man! His performance of this song in a special guest appearance on the Luke Cage show from Marvel was epic!
I always love Gary's tone, but I was struck immediately by the sound of that tele. The man has tone for days.
Gary is killing it here...Respect!!
There is just one word..."AMAZING".......You don,t just play the Blues you feel them........He ticks all the boxes,
David Mark that’s right... that’s right... feel is everything
🇷🇸 Loves Gary❤️🔥
Wow this band is fire 😮 this is what i call jamming ❤
Phenomenal
There's a lot that is a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan here
This is an Albert Collins song with a Magic Sam twist. Check out their versions! Do the blues/rock and roll some justice! Dig deeper! Find the roots of the roots! This kind of music didn’t just spawn in Gary’s head, he has influences. Learn about them and keep this kind of music alive! I think the blues will have a HUGE second coming in the next 50 years. Idk about you guys, but I want to be invloved
absolutely insane to hear my favorite texan bluesman with my favorite chicago bluesman mashed in one
People keep rediscovering the blues when they realize how shallow and boring most modern pop really is. Gary was always there.
Gary Clark, Jr’s music is beyond relevant because of the man’s
talent & that he takes on the tone of this country’s Racism, that is worse
than ever simply because his message is “We can’t believe we are going backwards.
This shouldn’t even EXIST ANYMORE!!.”
I love this guy and his band oh how it makes my soul feel good and pressure if this world lifted off my heart after losing so many love ones from cancer and my wonderful late husband 7 yrs ago who was musician left handed bass player He would have loved this young man music he owned every Lp of Miles Davis he sure can play that guitar he’s fire and his band too
Amen and amen again. Me too with the cancer thing. In this crazy world, music is the healer of the soul
That's it. Discovered today...fan forever! Awesome music...a real throwback to real blues guitarists.
the bass player is incredible!
If the drummer chokes up on those sticks anymore he’ll be holding the tips. Works for him, sounds good.
how in the hell 23 people dislike this is beyond my mind...
Dont take notice and enjoy the vibe.....f@#k'em x
Joe Rogan sent me here. Out standing 👍🎶!!!!
Rohan and Stapleton are big fans of GCJ
Rohan... autocorrect got me! Lol
That solo brought a tear to my eye. Deep
UNGLAUBLICH DIESER MENSCH!!!!! Gary hat den Blues wieder zum Leben gebracht, DANKE dafür 🤗
Incredible - incredible!
That vibrating Strat tone is amazing and timeless......Epic solo X2.
Oh look, everyone's a professional musician. Just like everyone on Facebook can solve the world's problems. And yet, Gary Clark Jr. keeps pushing forward fine, and the world keeps turning the same day in, day out.
thank the internet! there is still hope for real music!
Gary makes that 1st pentatonic position more interesting than anyone I've ever seen.
Please come to Orlando. Dear GOD you are fantastic!!
He's going to be in Tampa next month
Luke Cage season 2 brought me here. Downloaded the entire live album. Brother is amazing!
The Best Guitarist from this ERA. Will one day be in the tops of ALL TIME! Keep jamming man! SICK SICK SICK Talent. The world needs this man. Ready for a collab with Derek Trucks
Makes me glad to be alive today lv this
In 24 hours my mind will be blown. Can't wait to see him in Philadelphia tomorrow night.
Goosebumps. Every time.
There's the "blues" and then there's The Blues.
And another thing called Feel. Other dudes could play this song and it would be good... But you can't measure the Feel these guys have.
Go Gary Go!!! Man’s on Fire🔥🔥
That telecaster caught fire shortly after the video end lol great job Gary!
The people are in a spell 😂😂😂🔥🔥
Boi Jr! You make a recovering alcoholic want a glass of whisky, because that's nothing but Blues coming out of them tunes
Real shit to the. Cmon man we are soldiers and we can thanks
Such a gentleman he always shares the stage
Classic! That's all I can say! This cat is amazing!
Jimmy Hendrix would stand up and cheer. Well done.
It's by Albert Collins Originally but I take It as Gary's song
Adrian Avila That was Magic Sam’s rhythm.
@@nathancarr8210 Definitely
So would Robin Trower
Not if you’re spelling his name with a “y” at the end. He changed to Jimi for a reason
Magnificent musician&singer as well....
Brotha Gary Clark Jr. is most definitely GLOBAL. And well within the purest of art form even so way before His time. 🎼🤔🖤🌐💯🌎😁💙
Real Music for Real People.....The Convergence Music and Humanity......Real!
why would anyone compare musicians. . . I listen to them one at a time. GCJ rips it up and i love hearing him sing. . awesome.
listen to magic sam - all your love
+Capt. Kangaroo : Most definitely! Couldn't agree more! Comparison is just sooo meaningless when it comes to music... Thanks for your constructive comment!
No, thank you Gary. You are an absolute inspiration.
thank you GC Jr.... ain't nothing like the Blues that says this is Life!!!
This is a gem
Dude Gary you just played the shit out of that guitar!
5:20-5:27 I could just feel the Albert King flow through those fingers on that riff. That solo was just thing of beauty
Definitely.. ha ha
👏🏾👏🏾
That's what I love about Gary Clark Jr he reminds me of Rory Gallagher he doesn't put out junk he sticks with his repertoire he knows what he's doing he feels the music
Albert Collins' "If Trouble Was Money" to the tune of Magic Sam's "All Your Love"....I really don't know whether I should be gratefully impressed that he's bringing 2 old school Blues artists to the new masses or scornfully disgusted that he's being unoriginal on 2 levels at once !?!...I think I'll go with the first one, and thank Mr. Clark for helping to keep the real Blues alive....T'ank ya!
He’s brilliant!
If you think singing and playing this song is easy😅you out cha mind lol
Awww yeah. Feel and groove from the whole band for miles and miles.
Zapata does a terrific job of lead when Gary let's him solo. He always has cool guitars.
Funny how it works because we are rock soldiers and we can
This gives me great hope that there will always be excellent new music for me to hear 🎧
Gary Clark jr. tells it like it is, reality live performance sounds fantastic ..
I remember watching Clapton in Sheffield and name checking Gary and the call and answer licks were ridiculous
Just discovered you. I can die happy...✌️💜🤘
Try kissing me first
@@jerrymichaudwahahahaha. I love it.....mwah. 💋
how welcoming this is = carry the torch man
Super friggin sharp solo there man
I wish I found out about Gary Clark Jr. earlier. :( This guy is 60s and 70s blues rock again!
I literally just listened to Gary Clark, Jr. for the first time less than 5 minutes ago and I am totally hooked . This is my kinda groove . YYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS !!!!!
YEAH!!!Was just listening bcause he is giving a concert nearby😇😎
Gonna have to get up early for a Ticket
I had the same reaction when I first heard the Red Devils. Check out their PinkPop performance on here. Dude ain’t playing!
I can't believe the sound and soul that permeates from this band! This is something special, real special.
That was one nasty fukn way to end the song.
It's only grat. My Respekt. I love his music🤩🤩
Hello everyone, just want you all to know this is Magic Sam’s groove from “All Your Love”

He is such a great talent
Wow it's 2023 and they need to blast this masterpiece All over town for the world to get over the blues 💙 so that they can start healing 💕😘
starting at 4:19 when he engages his boost, the sound of blues comes pouring out of the amp and in your face ...
A charming witcher!
