This balance beam final was the gymnastic finals with the most falls that I've watched so far and some of them we're quite unexpected for me. Especially after I've seen this huge score from Zhou from that massive 7.2 difficulty routine and how she performed it so well at the Chinese nationals, Biles with her series of flips which she usually performs so well and how Sunisa Lee performed at the USA team selection and the fact that she even past the score of Biles once. Falls included Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee. Zhou Yaqin putted her hands on the beam to keep balance. (They we're the top 3 contenders since Qiu Qiyuan wasn't on that apparatus final) Other gymnasts also fell. Zhou said that the beam was a little more rounded apparently then what she usually trains on and that she wasn't used to it she explained from an interview done with her after the team finals where she fell off the apparatus twice maybe that and the pressure of the audience with that silence when the athletes went on the apparatus let to the falls by her and the other athletes. Congratulations to all the medalists and all the gymnasts who performed!
US women’s gymnastics has a lot of great performance time spent via NCAA. Because of this, they are more prepared to withstand PRESSURE. A plus for our women that the other systems lack.

Pois dessa forma, o público e a ginástica artística só têm a ganhar.
Yes, that's usually the experience of the Chinese women, both as a group and as individuals: one Olympics after another, both Chinese men and women have world class skills. But during big moments, while the Chinese men --- both individuals and as a team have won big over the years ---- Chinese women, in 10 Olympic appearances over 40 years, have never won the most coveted AA Individual Gold, even though they have won the TEAM Gold (2008, OLY) and individual apparatus OLY gold's before....
@@enzoleonardo4822 Eu sei disso. E quis dizer no contexto geral. Suni's was the most beautiful to watch. Both the Chinese, and especially the second one, seem to have clunky flow and slow connections. It depends on how strict the judges are, but it's a deduction to have a slow connection, and Chinese domestic scoring has been really inflated lately.
Great observations!

I luv watching Suni. She moves with grace and style.
I'm sorry but Zhou is superior to her in every aspect.
So touching AND it is making me crying !
Chinese team said no wolf turns today ❤
US women’s gymnastics has a lot of great performance time spent via NCAA. Because of this, they are more prepared to withstand PRESSURE. A plus for our women that the other systems lack.
Great point!

If China 🇨🇳 hits, they go 1, 2 🥇🥈 Their style is unmatched
Give credit where credit is due. Simone Biles is the GOAT, what ever they have bring it on and let the judges decide.
I'm rooting for my girl Suni, but this is prob China's win to take. Gorgeous and elegant. Also, Suni's leo at that meet is one of the prettiest leos I've seen.
@@whatchahowsya8688 nope! Simone is reigning world champion on Beam beating the two Chinese girls 9 months ago! Rebecca Andrade got the bronze on beam!
I mean it's Simone. She's taking everything lol @@KevaFlores
In all fairness, beam has always been China's best event and not Simone's best. I'm always impressed watching how China makes it look so easy. Just beautiful. Love you Simone, best of luck to all of Team USA! ❤🤍💙
So beautiful, US and China both have very different style which are all amazing❤❤❤
I love that you can appreciate all of the girls’ athleticism!
Clear,Smooth and precision Yes!! but difficulty is for Simone Biles🎉
It will be exciting!
China seems to excel at domestic meets but wobbles internationally. Simone gets the mistakes out of the way usually on domestic meets but usually pretty consistent internationally. I guess we will see come Paris.
Thanks for your insight!
China dominated great to see extraordinary talent
If the chinese hit their routines, they are easily gold and silver, and I think suni can take the bronze and beat simone
Agreed, if the Chinese hit then they will automatically win gold and siver based on their difficulty scores alone
Hesley might be in the mix too
Interesting.
BIG if
Anyone doing a wolf spin on beam should get a 0.5 point deduction for execution. So many elements of beam get a deduction for form and execution, but horrific wolf spins get a pass.
The despised wolf turn… 😂
Simone is the goat and always will be. There is no one like her period. And im not American.
Suni Lee and Ohashi are the living proof that a gymnast can be explosive, flexible and graceful *simultaneously* . That' s what WAG is all about. It' s called being 360°. Doing unhumanly possible jumps without pointed feet is just extream tumbling, not WAG.
I think Suni has..a special on her..not just her talent their is something on Suni..if u can look at all her routine ..its very clean even he..sometimes..done a mistake..their is something on her..can i say...glow..a magic..a beauty
She is very elegant.
Beam yea.. But team USA’s approach for this olympics is kinda different and might be the legendary one to come! Looking forward to Sunisa and Asher. Go team USA!🇺🇸
They all work so hard!
I will say USA all the way! The first girl that did a somersault midair was pretty amazing she landed right on the beam.
Thank you!
There is also a great italian girl for beam finals… beam will be the most exciting unforseen final of all EFs
I think it will be exciting. You never know what will happen on beam! Several Americans unexpectedly fell at trials.
Suni Lee got my vote.👍
She is amazing!
It will be really awesome to watch ❤
Suni's was the most beautiful to watch. Both the Chinese, and especially the second one, seem to have clunky flow and slow connections. It depends on how strict the judges are, but it's a deduction to have a slow connection, and Chinese domestic scoring has been really inflated lately. It's weird to say, but if all four hit, it's quite possible that Simone is the lowest scoring one unless she has some upgrades we don't know about.
@@ITOLDUDA she is the reigning World champion on the beam beating the two Chinese girls Qiu had a major mistake and placed 6th out of 8 Rebeca won Bronze on Beam!
@@KevaFlores That girl is called Zhang Qingying, Qiu did not even compete at beams final last year😅🤣.

@@leestann5716 my mistake.
There are rumors going around about Simone’s dismount possibly being upgraded. We will see!
They are like dancing on the balance beam. LOL
Very elegant.
They are all very talented and it always come down to IF they have no major falls or all connections are made. The Chinese girls are very good, but there was a number of hesitation or obvious wobbles in their routines that I do not think that were deducted. International scoring on beam is brutal, usually has the lowest execution scores than any other event. I think the Chinese judges are just a little more lenient with the scores to their gymnast. I wish all competitors the best of luck and it will be a really good competition.
Whatever the score or difficulty, Suni is just so much more graceful than the rest.

😂
lol you are so blind! the Chinese are so beautiful on all their apparatus. Elegance mixed with technical difficulties. I am not dissing Suni, but the Chinese are way more graceful.

I believe Simone can win gold. She did at Worlds, so it’s possible. She didn’t need a 7.1 difficulty to do it either.

There is no value without the Russian team!!!

Is there a reason why Simone Biles never points her toes? Does she lack proper mobility and flexibility in her ankles? Gabi Douglas is the same. There I said it. Now lets see the hate comments, bring it on. Im dying to see what ppl will say in rebuttle.
She actually does point her toes however she doesn’t have much of an arch in her feet. It makes her feet still look flat. Simone would need take full on ballet toe point classes to work on it.
@@jevonkwell she should. Her routines will look alot cleaner and neater.
It’s hard to have the Chinese go 1-2 as thought by a lot of people if only one Chinese gymnast made the event final. I still say Simone will win gold. And yes I realize she qualified 2nd.
The Chinese gymnast is for more superior to Biles routine.
Tje best of the best this match...hope for the best..anything can happen...i will watch this olympic..best of the best..i ❤suni
She is so graceful!
China is boring to watch for me. America always has a little more spice to their routine.
Biles shows more confidence and hits it quick.
Thanks for sharing your opinion!
It all has to do with preference. Unlike most fans, I have an appreciation for both styles. I can see the beauty in the different deliveries and routines. Last year's gold duel between Simone and Zhou was an example of how different each style can be but still beautiful to see. I hope everyone is able to perform at their best and may the best of the best win.
Suni has a better chance against the Chinese, who can come off as a bit mechanical. Suni's style is more fluid. I also think she has the best split jumps. I love Simone, but there isn't as much originality. I heard she might do the double-double dismount though...
If she does do the double double, it will make for an even more exciting and possibly closer competition!
@@cunyc1 just read she upped her mount too adding 4/10ths!

Simone’s 2016 beam routine, they wouldn’t have stood a chance but her coach Cecile chose to downgrade her routine so 🤷🏾♀️
