If anyone else was wondering about 3rd-highest beam, Skye, Josc, and Madray Johnson tied for third with a 6.2 D (they each only got a 6.2 one night out of the two).
@@PLATO97 I believe it's a D dismount, which gives her the bonus. For reference, a double tuck is also a D. Gainers are harder than they appear because you don't have the power from a round-off, and they're dangerous because it is very difficult to gain enough distance from the beam to clear the skill, meaning you can easily hit your head if you don't have the proper power and flight. That being said, she's working on a double pike dismount, which is rated E.
Healy Rivera's handstands in the uneven bars routine are so beautiful (I did not see one that missed being vertical) & her movements are clean & appear effortless (I know they're not but they seem to just flow out of her). So glad she made the team!
Skye Blakely is basically a lock now with her cheng. If she hits at trials, Jade isn’t going to made it- she hasn’t upgraded enough, and she was outscored on both of her top events sadly.

my current team Locks: simone and suni and shilese ( if she's healthy🙏🙏🙏) Semi locks. Skye blakley- only if she hits 8/8 or 7/8 anyone's guess- it's down to kayla, jade and jordan but since it's for a vault/floor spot i would go with Jade because she scores better than the two of them internationally

I wish they would let Jocelyn's technique get stronger before they pushed the difficulty... I know they did it to give her a shot at the team but... I think it's unlikely she makes it and I hope they give her time. She is already great and could be an amazing gymnast.
If Jordan can upgrade her vault, keep scoring a 14.1 on floor and 14.5 on bars--she could be taken in place of Jade no matter her upgrades. Jade can't score a 14.5 on bars even with upgrades, if she has bars upgrades.
but i dont see jordan chiles bars score actually helping her becuase they already have 3 gymnasts that can score higher than her so they actually don't need it

She has not performed a 6+ difficulty floor yet but already received a 13.7+ score for what she has. Adding all her other upgrades will ensure that it will be up and over 14. Simone hinted that she wants both Jade and Suni with her in Paris and I hope the selection committee take the hint. With Jade in the team, the US has the opportunity to bring home the most medals as it would mean that we can have two medal worthy routines on all of the apparatuses.

Very well done, I have to say though, nothing will EVER compare to what the girls were doing back in the 2008-2012. They were just that extra bit of perfection. The ones that get it, get it.
jade and Jordan are both good, but as you can see Jordan got higher scores, and placed 5th as far as I know, which is higher than jades AA score, but unless jade upgrades and gets better execution scores Jordan will more likely be on the team.
I am still a huge Leanne Wong fan as well. She can do anything pretty much anytime. Her difficulty just isn't the highest, but her execution and her consistency speak so highly for her.❤❤ also I'm not too sure that you could keep Kayla out of the discussion. But there's just too many names and too many good gymnasts and not enough spots !!!!!!

All the floor routines are so ugly with all these ugly jump spin jumps they’re trying to do there’s no like Tensas or Valdez or walk over or no real gymnastics just tumbling runs and ugly jumps so gross now just look at the old old routines from the 80s and 90s and you’ll see beautiful routines that you can really enjoy
And yet - these routines aren't half worth those of the Korbuts, Comanecis and Janzs of the late 60s and the 70s. Gymnastics in those times had so much more elegance and difficult elements apart of the jump-festival of today's gymnastics that today have mostly disappeared from the sport.
It’s definitely more difficult now, stop lying😂. Those women routines can be performed by modern gymnasts easily, maybe even level 9 and level 10 gymnasts. They may have danced more back then, but today gymnasts are doing things those 70 and 80s gymnasts could only dream of.

Dancers are athletes too, but gymnasts like this aren't dancing, they're waving their arms around because they have to. It's stupid. Let's just focus on their amazing physical skills, the same way male gymnasts do.

The sport was founded on artistic moves. Look at videos from to 70’s vs the 50’s. In the 50’s they just ran up and did a skill. Boring! Yes, the tumbling has taken center stage, but artistry has always been apart of their score. And it still is. No different than ice skating. They don’t just do jumps, they perform!
I know that they are athletes but I wish the women would go back to having more dance elements in their floor routines. that mixture of dancing grace with tumbling is sorely missed.

Suni Lee has performed it in a way which I would call pleasant looking. Most people can’t make it look graceful though.
