That's cool! Get ready for crazy prices just for the name. Worked on a 88 Ferrari once and had to put a cooling fan on it. It had to come from Ferrari and have their logo stamped on it to be considered a real Ferrari and retain its worth. There was only one in the states in California and it was a little thing, a toddler could walk around with it. It cost 800 dollars. But he is a doctor so he had the cash.
Nice badass. These are cool, it’ll look good all cleaned up. Certainly an upgrade over Corvair (it appears UA-cam has pulled their usual and hidden your posts from me, so have some catching up to do)
You need to make sure you get the correct wheels for it. The 86 turbo had a one year only 16" phone dial wheel setup that had a different offset than the later years. If your car is for sure an 87 than it had the late offset wheel setup. There are also 16" phone dial wheels from the non turbo cars that are slightly different and usually narrower so be careful not to confuse them.
Now thats a cool car! Congratulations! Love it when when people like such a variety of vehicles. Black is a nice colour for it too!
I really can't wait to get started on this thing

My brother has a 944….changing the timing belt is critical in those cars with an OEM belt….he’s had it for years and had a pile of fun with it
Since repair records are not available on this car, the timing belt is very High on my list.
