Having talked about overloaded champions let's get more specific and talk about overpowered abilities! I genuinely think a lot of champions are only considered "OP" because of one specific ability. The rest of their kit would likely be fine if not for just that one thing. What do you guys think? Let me know!

want to fix pyke have his ulti " intrudes " gold to the game by having the team mate with the cut get the kill score as will like pyke that way if pyke and only 2 other ace the enemy team
that is a gold bounty the team can try to get it back
as for yone have his body snap back to his soul if he gets hard cc , remove the cleanse or give the team a way to deal with the mark

Actually I am playing Asol and don't find his passive really usless and Asol isn't about hiding in a bush to suprise someone coz in general when ur team is going to start a fight or try to contest an objective u need to position yourself far away so u can execute E Q combos and stun as many enemies as possible but still if u position ur self just a little bit bad u die

Lowkey I feel like every role has disgusting ridiculous toxic to play against champions except like adc? Idk the only adc I can think of that actually plays adc is and is ridiculous is samira or maybe kaisa. But I could name like 5 top laners, mid laners, jungles, or supports. Im a zoe main btw LOL
@@joeyshmoe8046 Tristana, if you actually interact with botlane, you will understand, being able to almost take 80% of your hp in 1.5 seconds lvl 2, then dash back out again. Senna is also very unfun later on, where she auto attacks you for half your hp from over half a screen away, putting a slow on you to make matters worse.

Someone has forgotten about Lulu's polymorph , a ranged point click ability that renders you slowed , disarmed and can't do anything
It has no range, you need be really close to Lulu for that and if you are really close to Lulu either she's dead or you're mispositioning
It's annoying alright but I wouldn't call it op, remember fiddle have a point and click fear
Don't forget the fact that it's possibly (not sure) the only ability that can be used on enemies , herself , and allies

It ain’t op. It’s not different from a stun or fear, the difference here being that you can actually try to escape while being polymorphed.
Not so much overpowered but definetely incredibly annoying to deal with:

I remember when it was an instant cast ability. At least now there's a chance to dodge it.
The cage always gets me not because I get hit at the beginning, but because the damn circle lasts like 100 years and I walk into it thinking it will disappear.

Blitzcrank has one of the worst designs in the game. So fuck him.
They balanced his bonus short movement speed with a slow after, IF ONLY THEY CAN BALANCE YONE BY MAKING HIS E NOT A STRAIGHT UP I DID AN OOPSIE LET ME JUST GET BACK TO TOWER WITH 1 BUTTON EVERY COUPLE OF SECONDS

I can agree with her w e r but not really with her passive and q her passive is balanced out by the fact that you have to attack a champion than walk out of the ring to activate it and her q when you compare it to other champions main ability’s that have very low cds like syndra q, ezreal q , and Karthus q it isn’t that strong besides the fact that’s it’s easier to hit than those abilltys
That damn ekko ultimate, so short on cooldown, saves him from both using his flash and e and even heals him with a short invulnerability

@@vincentstone7272 have you heard of Zhonya's? Every time an Ekko is in trouble but is rooted/whatever, he uses that item, then mashes R, and he can then do it all again 30 seconds later.

Camille goes even with jax (51% wr on d2+)
And yeah, camille hard loses to darius and poppy, but noone playes poppy and you can ban darius

yeah the insane amount of movespeed it gives coupled with the fact that teemos hitbox is so small is just disgusting, you cant hit him with anything. frickin op

@:D 2D girls are the best 22 / 19 / 16 / 13 / 10 s CD and you never max it first cause you need your Q to be a champion.
So in the laning phase, it’s pretty long and can be punished hard.
For the dash part, it has less value than a true dash as you cannot use it to escape a gank or a mispose.
That being said, it IS arguably a very strong spell, I do agree.
They only need to make him invulnerable while casting in and out of it and it would be a better zed ult
i remember when i read yone abilities, i thought that his E is super busted but would leave his body behind, which would be attackable and that meant that if you ecided to fight with yone near his body, your damage would be doubled
no bro, then Yone players would need to think and plan how to use his ability and thats its no how you make a pupular champ

The WORST part for me about yone's E is his god damn movement speed. Like playing an immobile champion it sucks cuz he can just run at you for free with 75 dashes and a wide ass sword.

Idk what the fuck they were thinking making Pyke's ult so damn gold efficient. That's the most humiliating thing about dying to it
they REALLY wanted him out of mid lane. they had to take away his ability to damage minions and monsters with his e, and so they decided instead of just letting him chill mid, they'd just give him kills that were worth 600/900 gold to make up for the e nerf, which didn't even kill pyke mid seeing as they had to change his w recently to boot him out of mid lane again.

As an ADC main, no ADC should have a 360 windwall that blocks projectiles. Literally nothing we can do when we get dove by Samira.

Yeah it's so true and still in high Elo I don't see taric at all like he is so game changing
not so op, assassins can delete someone during casting, but it is really good for initiation if the assassins aren't in range
That takes 2 years to go off, you either use it too early and the enemies disengage and wait it out, or you use it too late and your entire back line is dead first.

Garen main, I feel this too
Wind Wall is basically summoning an upgraded two sided Braum with E permanently up that takes no damage, blocks all projectiles, and ignores projectile based cc. It can be used to zone multiple people out of a fight singlehandedly. Oftentimes defensive abilities serve a single purpose. Janna shield blocks a large chunk of single target damage. Garen W gives him bonus defense and a shield. Rammus defensive ability makes him even tankier. Sivir's E blocks a single ability and only on herself. Wind wall simply provides too much "all purpose" defensive power by not only defending self, and not just for a limited amount of damage or abilities... it is an indefinite wall that blocks abilites, auto attacks, cc, and more. It worked on Braum because he was eating the damage for his team while reducing it for himself, except he could still be cc'd. It works on Xin because it only blocks for himself, it is an Ultimate ability on a long CD, and it provides a champion that relies on aggression for mobility a way to protect themselves during that aggression, except he can still be cc'd from outside of circle. A well placed yasuo wind wall is immediate, and could potentially have more defensive utility for the entire team than a Taric ultimate... And because of its immediate nature, it's less about outplaying it, and more about them just not using it right. Outplaying wind wall basically requires the Yasuo to make a mistake...

I really don't think there's any argument that this ability is broken.
Yasuo also has a lot of his kits power soaked into that E. He is basically a melee character with an auto reset, a targeted dash that requires minions to be useful and even then that windwall isn't actually that strong due the fact that it's stuck.
Braums E is actually a lot stronger because that wall moves with him. If you gave yasuo Braums E instead of windwall, I actually think he would be a lot stronger.
@@bayanzabihiyan7465 Possibly, but that argument can be made if you give any carry champion a tanks ability to negate damage. Putting Alistars ult on Sylas is a decent example. He gets more value out of it because he deals more damage than a cow and heals. Same ability; unequal outcome.
Ya but yasuo damaged is nerfed so that he wont ever do as much damage as an adc...he will get his crit faster than them but thats it...he just gets his damage faster than an adc, late game most adcs can 1v1 yasuo with ease...his windwall is the only thing that keeps him as an assassin
Yasuo is designed as an melee ADC. Windwall perfectly fits his kit and without it he would not be able to exist. It is has a high cooldown early and since you max it Last you need to be very careful with it
Seraphine's ultimate is one of the most bullcrap abilities in game
It is a charm, it extends and it also hurts like hell
Seraphine's ult is the reason i play the champion, even a 0/11 sera with moonstone can carry her team with that alone

Honestly I'm okay if the ult only extends when it hit the enemy team but I'm not okay when the ult extends if it hit her allies because that's bullshit

she is also versatile wherein she can either go for full support or AP build hence her ult is also considered as a burst not to mention that she can lock you in place with her E

The worst part is that somehow it feels like the blade wasn't that nerby most of the time but somehow you are always in the range.
I Miss the good Old Times when Katarina actualy needed skill to be played. Now all u do is buy either Kraken slayer/Riftmaker, and Q-E-W-R then e to the Q dagger when enemy escapes. This is pretty much s11 Katarina.

i dont mind overpowered abilities when it is not in a overpowerd kit, viego having infinite passives that both heals him and gives him invulnerabilitty and steal the abilities of enemies AND refresh his ultimate is just dumb, when he also has invisibility dash stun and an execute
Personally dislike how viego gets 2 additional ult casts from using his passive. Him getting one additional simply to get out of the current posessed champion sure that'd be fine, it'd also require him to be a bit more thoughtfull on when to use it.

if you see him ult twice in quick succession, the second wasn't a bonus cast. that's just straight-up his ult, and it's now on cooldown

@@cindermoth3421 did you have sight on him when he started to cast his first ult? it's got long enough range for him to be able to do it from fog of war, so it's very possible he was already possessing someone to begin with

As a midlaner i personally think LeBlanc W might just be one of the most broken basic ability there is. An instantaneous dash with big AoE magic damage while also being able to traverse terrain AND being able to return to position of cast. You can't catch her (paired with R) she does AoE damage and with a base cooldown of 10 sec max lvl she can spam that AoE damage with a bit of Ability Haste.
Man, the song choice felt so perfect. Road Taken (Calm) fits your voice perfectly. Good video. Liked it a lot.

I really like the way you don’t outright say that the champion is overpowered because of this one ability. You have a really great way of explaining your points without coming off as aggressive or anything.
It might not be overpowered, but Olaf's R is the bane of my existence. I rely on kiting people out at LEAST a little, being squishy. But if I'm a tank and don't need to kite him to survive, he can still just straight up ignore any attempts to peel my allies. It's rediculously frustrating.
How are we feeling these days? Now, where he could theoretically ult forever?
@@m-mori existentially spooked. I think it's alright though. As Bard I can ult his teammates so we can focus him down, or if he's just after me then ult + stopwatch, flashing over a wall, or getting a longer portal can time out his (technically shorter) ulti duration. Theoretically.
Just a simple reminder that sometime last year there was a change to Akali's shroud on PBE that made it so that she was revealed if affected by immobilizing CC.
And then it suddenly wasn't anymore, despite it feeling *much* better to play against as an area control mage since it made the ability a skill matchup instead of "haha W go woosh".
Just wanna throw that out there. Keep her funny dashes, let her blow me up 100-0 if I'm caught out, that's fine. Just make her W an ability that doesn't stop me from playing the game for a full like 5 to 7 seconds, thanks. :)
What's the problem, you keep your distance and wait for it to disperse, Akali is too squishy without it.
@@entropyfun yes and either let her run away or target one my squishy teammates, since she can quickly approach anyone with her E and deals a gazillion damage. There’s no good outcome for me and all she needed to do was press W, balanced

I still think Morgana’s Dark Binding is one of the most irritating abilities to ever exist. And I don’t care what anyone or if they say “Oh you just have to dodge it.” Well that’s easy for you to say, but it still doesn’t change the fact that it’s hit-box is big, deal so much damage and worst of all roots you for-freaking-ever.
Sorry but if you cant dodge it then either you"re in bronze or you dont ward enough to have vision on her throwing it on the first place ! We all get caught in skillshots and that fine but lets not push it! ive played morgana enough and im good at hitting her q but thats because people are predictable not because of its hit-box which isnt that big !
@@saharmansar7315 To be fair her Dark Binding is not hard to dodge, but i had times where i was still hit by it even thought it should habe been moving past my side. I saw so many bs Qs from Morganas that should have not hit alone from Range problems, but still did. Same with Lux Q, but i noticed it more with Morgana. Even did a few Practice matches and found out that her Q goes a bit further then her showed Q Range or the Hitboxes of the Champs is just a big Square.
Dark Binding is *almost* nothing different than Light Binding, Tangle Barbs, or Empowered Beat Drop. To be honest, I think Empowered Beat Drop is more hard to dodge than Dark Binding. (By Empowered Beat Drop, i mean the double cast, or if you're slowed and got hit by it)
@@neekoisacat2008 i agree, i like to play Morgana and think she's super strong, but hitting a linear skill shot stun is way easier on other champs
@@neekoisacat2008 200k lux player here who has been playing a lot of morg recently. Personally I notice a huge difference in the Qs. Like I swear morgana’s q hitbox literally extends to hit someone that absolutely should have dodged it, whereas Im used to my Q actually having to hit the player models feet.
I'd say Qiyana's entire kit is bullshit tbh. Her ult is super forgiving on the range of which it hits a wall and even stuns people, she has like 3 dashes, and CC/stealth
It's really not that bad when you know what her abilities actually do. It disillusions from that "where the fuck is the cooldowns" feeling so you know when she has no tools left.
No she is not I main her. And azed talon are way better roamin monsters and insane damage

At least everything in her kit is a skillshot and E only auto targets one Q, now look at Akshan
I think that giving an assasin an aoe stun that has massive range and also deals massive damage is a great way to remove any meaningful skill interaction around that champion. Qiyana hit you with R? No lifeline item? You're dead
In my opinion veigar's cage is the strongest non ultimate ability, it is an amazin zoning tool that can be used both defencive and offencive: it can trap people inside, keep people away and it is an aoe stun.
My friend and I play ARAM exclusively, and Veigar's stun is straight up one of the most insanely broken abilities. It's bonkers how good that ability is in ARAM. I'm always whining that Riot needs to nerf it, if nothing else, for ARAM specifically.

Ironically, Pyke's ult is less a threat in URF, in theory it should be bonkers op, but since everyone has a million dashes, heals a lot and zhonyas, there's so many chances to dodge or outheal the threshold or even better stun or outburst pyke. Someone like Yi or Ryze are leagues more consistently threatening and just gets stronger by the minute.

Veigar's cage stun for 3 seconds, lasts 3 seconds, and considering he's a mage and is gonna get tons of ability haste anyway, the 12 seconds colldown will get cut significantly, so he doesn't really have any "downtime" and his windows of vulnerability get really fucking tiny

I think this is a very good analysis video and isn't biased at all. It has specific criterias for what is considered overpowered, and mentions how other abilties that would be considered overpowered have their weaknesses like how even though Urgot R executes under 25% HP, it has a decently long cast time and can be dodged. I also like how he mentions how even though Darius Cho'gath and Garen can do a massive amount of damage, if you position well, they can be easily kited while Pyke can zip right past everyone. The fact that this is a reasonable argument using facts and statistics and not just a rant I think is the best part about this video

it doesn't matter if veigar is doing well or badly, it covers a wide radius, around half the size of midlane, and can easily separate an entire team while having a significantly short cooldown, this thing is more powerful than most ultimates
His E is a Reason why he was played as a support. Its just such a big no no zone and makes it easy for junglers to gank or block ganks.
I started playing Akali when I learned that her W was a massive safety net for tower diving. I stopped playing her when they removed the invulnerability. I admit, it's really broken but it felt too fun to stop.

Xerath doesn't get 300 extra gold, free recasts and mobility from it though... I mean he's obnoxious to deal with when the enemy decides to play him support (people who play AP casters as support and build full AP are dumbfucks who don't know how to play support, change my mind), but as the other dude said, he's actually pretty underpowered. Artillery mages really could do with a buff.
You can kind of sort of use Yone's E to escape death situations or scout which is something you touched on a little. A few I've done/seen are:
Using it to run away to buy time for a summoner spell or your ultimate to come off of cooldown. While you do have to snap back after, sometimes a flash or ulting away/or into the enemy is just enough to live.
If you feel like playing jungle Yone (which is actually pretty decent) you can use his E to go over dragon/baron pit wall to steal and then get back to (relative) safety, or to hit the blast cone to deny the enemy team from using it while having an easy way back over as his E takes care of both getting over and getting back. You can also do this to steal with a smite because nobody anticipates it.
Most of the time using your E under your own tower if you're about to die in an attempt to run away will get you killed, but if you have a refillable potion or something like that, you can heal just enough to turn the tide of battle once you snap back. Or you can do so to buy time for the jungler to reach you if they were on their way over, as most people will just wait out the 5 seconds in order to try and kill you
You can also use it for tower dives. Dive someone, kill them under tower, use your E movement speed and tiny dash to get out from under tower, and when you go back, it's gonna be attacking minions again.

Yone's E can suck it. Like wtf he has hybrid damage, an ult that can make the entire enemy team hug each others, a shield which also hurt like a mother f-, and he is the brother of Yasuo which grants him a similar q and double crit....double crit...on top of his hybrid damage. Why does he still need a Zed ult on his dash?
On top of all that, his build often has Immortal Shieldbow and Bloodthirster, like wtf man he has damage that is hard to build against and now he has life steal and a shield when he's low? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

For me it's Irelia's passive, her whole kit does function around it but it is quite insane how much of a stat steroid it grants her. At times it feels like she can miss e and r, but because she clicked on minions 5 times and randomly used her w she has more dps than most other champions. It grants her more on hit magic damage than Warwick's passive, and more attack speed than Jax's passive.
Just a minor correction, but Ashe's kit received a small change in the game's lifetime. Her passive gave her a guaranteed crit, that she gained for not basic attacking for a short time, and her Q was a Toggle ability that made her slow targets on hit, like her current passive. Great video overall, just a minor nitpick :]

I thought you would talk about more of them. Nocturnes ultimate is one of the most absurd abilities in the game to me. It is one of two abilities that affects every enemy champion simultaneously with the ability to kill vision, on top of giving him the ability to fly to an enemy in range with a spell shield in his kit, so you literally can't do anything for the first few seconds unless you instantly kill him. This can turn any teamfight when used properly, even without the dash, just to separate enemies and prevent them from knowing wtf is going on

I may be wrong, but I think she can still have some if the E spot an ennemy trying to execute.
Ashe on release was even simpler.
P: You gain focus when out of combat slowly over time. When at 100 focus, your next attack crits and you reset to (crit chance %) focus.
Q: Attacks slow, but cost mana per shot. *Mana was a painful resource back then so this hurt to use.*
W: Didn't pierce, only did 7 arrows ever, but always applied frost shot. Noteworthy since frost shot was stronger but usually cost mana.
E: Hawkshot gave you +3 gold per unit kill, but didn't have charges and had a limited range that increased with rank, so you felt the need to use it on cooldown.
R: Basically the same.
Pyke's ultimate is also perfectly usable just as a gap closer, more so if you combine E+R ensuring an easy stun covering a huge distance
Imagine that yone's e covers half of zed's kit, has no cd or mana/energy cost, and his other half kit from yasuo, but with engage potentional. and also mixed ad/ap/true dmg, shield, dmg based on max healt, aoe, burst, cc, doubled crit chance, mobility, but the worst part is it doesn't requires the minimal amount of skill that zed or yasuo does. zed can be countered with zhonyas unlike yone, and argueably yasuo can be countered with armor unlike yone that does with his mixed dmg.
Invisibility without warning indicators.
Like, Pyke goes invisible and everyone nearby knows he is invisible bc there's a massive effect beneath their feet.
Evellyn announces herself with that heart above your head for her charm.
Rengar puts a nice set of angry eyes above your head.
But Teemo, Shaco, Khazix (and maybe others that i forgot) are simply completely gone to the point that you won't even know that you need to counter them until you are basically dead.
Can we just get indicators for every invisibility? At least a tiny warning would be appreciated.
Also, Traps, or to be more precise, TeemoMushrooms. Absolutely terrible. Every time i get a Teemo in the enemy team I start dreading taking even one step while my OracleLense isn't up.
Like, Jihns traps can be avoided bc of the delay and the small number/area. Caytlins stay visible, Maokais saplings also stay visible and can potentially be outrun.
But Teemo Mushrooms just do massive aoe damage with zero way to avoid them, without having Oracle Lense up and blowing it on Shrooms instead of Wards.
Same with Shaco traps. An absolute menace without OracleLense. The Fear and Damage are just terrible.
If I see a Yone ult or some other huge threat to me and it hits me, I'm good. I might be dead but i saw it coming and could have potentially done something.
But dying to threats that i couldn't even perceive before they kill me unless I randomly use OracleLense? Absolutely hate it.
You can solve this problem by buying more control wards. As killing lots of traps will also be able to kinf of pay back the gold spent on buying them. If you buy one for 75 and kill two teemo traps, you essentially only spent 55 for the control ward. Understand what I mean? As you already go oracle lense, that too is also paying back the price of the control ward too.

never got the problem people have with camile's q. its main strengths are either vs full tanks or lategame. i think her passive makes her way more annyoing given how she can often trade for free and her e is in the mid to lategame alot bigger issue given how easily she can get on your teams backline

Ziggs's Satchel Charge is OP for all 4 reasons listed in the video. With this one ability, you can do damage, grant vision, execute towers, leap in a direction, and apply airborne CC.
I believe this is the most OP non-ultimate ability in the game due to its limitless applications.

yi's q is broken only because of his ult's reset, if it wasnt here, it wouldnt really be that strong, it's the same for katarina, she's only strong because of her passive resets, her kit isnt that strong by itself

His untagretablity last 1s and at level 16 without any items he can use his q every 5s while hitting targets with his aa. If full build 18 lv yi is continuously aa enemies he can use his q every 2 seconds which makes him untagretable 1/3 of the time, which is OP, but he deals dmg during that, so yes, yi's q is broken af(i tested it on practice tool during writing this comment)

that's why he's broken in low elo but trash in high elo. people know to focus him in higher elos, they dont in lower, so they panick and yi gets pentas.

Yi's Q is kinda broken, but if he gets CC'd, he's dead since he's so squishy. Saying that it's broken because it, i guess, 'resets' or it dodges any projectiles and skillshots is almost like complain about how Tristana can reset her jump or Morgana can block CC damage. And if you complain about his insane damage, might as well complain about other burst mages and other hypercarries who also deal insane damage.

I'm stunned that Morgana's black shield haven't been mentioned. In addition, Lulu's W, Lulu's R and Soraka's W are also extremmely obnoxious abilities to deal with. Janna's healthbar every 10 seconds is nothing to sneeze at either.
sorakas w is just a normal heal that taxes her own health upon using it so i wouldnt classify that as "overpowered". literally just build greivous items and soraka cant do anything

Yi's Q, Veigar's cage, honestly pretty much any ability with a low cool down that grants invulnerability and especially if that does damage, and abilities that can cause hard cc to a whole team that are not an ult.

I would like to advance a counter argument : we actually need more abilities with the "Grounded" properties. Hear me out.
With how strong dashes are in general (thet fall exactly within the parameters you said for being overpowered in general: vast amount of applications, few to no couterplay, doesn't matter if 10/0 or 0/10 to be useful) and with how almost every single new champions have a dash of one sort, to the point that items giving dash or insane movement speed have been added just to give champions with no mobility the possibility to be relevant outside of bloated numbers, "Grounded" is way too rare as it is.
By adding the ability to stop dashes (maybe not all dashes, Flash for example might be made an exception) to other abilities, most notably those who only slow (and thus have been pretty much considered second rate to useless in the past few years), you force champions with dashes to use them tactically instead of being just able to use them whenever they want to any purpose they need (looking at you Riven). It would force more tactical placements and purely and simply add counterplay where there was none.

As an assassin main im actually OK with this ONLY if its not like Cass W. I think Poppy's is a lot nicer because she actually would have to time it/react to a champion dashing then be rewarded if she lands it. I never once got grounded by Poppy and thought to myself "Damn thats unfair!" because she is the one who played it well. Sure that one specifically doesnt affect blinks but the idea is that I want them to actually have gameplay from both ends. With Cassiopeia it used to be try to play around the fixed range on her W and if she landed it we get fucked. But when they changed that it just became extremely lane. There's nothing interesting about her having a get out of jail free card when she mispositioned herself. I want to feel like I punish someone for their mistake.

@@alucard5841 its the one item every yi uses so it should be synonymous with his kit. it all gives ability haste, has a damaging ability that resets on kill, just like his own abilities. i just had 3 games in a row going against 3 different yi junglers and they all played the same way, gank kill stealing earlt and rolling us late game. we cant do anything once we saw him, and it was down to top lane to kill him, and all it took was a little coordination for them to target our top first and then ace us at least 3 times each game. yi is broken and seemed broken since the beginning.

I would agree it was just very strong if not for the gold bonus on top of its raw combat power. That, plus his mobility and group stun, it is a bit much. Either cut the gold or the resets IMO
I still think Pyke's ult is broken. It's literally the only reason people play him. His hook is worse than Blitz and Thresh, his W is go fast, his E forces him to jump in a fight when he's extremely squishy and then his ult...

I started playing Pyke a few days ago, began climbing with him. His ult is easy to miss but also very very overpowered. Yes he has an execute, but the thing about his ult and why it makes it amazing for a support is the gold. People don't really talk about that part much but you can make a difference for your 0/5 adc if you kill every enemy they attack. 300g might not sound much, but getting 2-3 kills in a row can bring an adc back into the game. The champ is fun, very very slippery and can carry your games, try him out :)
