I saw the first Phantasm (1979) movie for the first time and I enjoyed it! Then I watched some crappy films from the 70’s and 80’s afterwards that I will NOT mention on here. I only rather be positive and discuss the good films on here!
Thank you Craig I have a mortal Kombat arcade machine in my basement. Anything with the lord is cool. I love this channel for the music and the movies and I’m an old school gamer with a great basement that adheres to all
Hey King Chris Alo: Good observation about lack of nudity in recent horror movies. When did this trend start? Is it mainly in the US or are we getting no-nudity in Europe and elsewhere? Not to get controversial but I think this is probably a result of "wokeness".It is most likely politically incorrect to show women as helpless victims and a woman is at her most helpless while naked.
Great show as usual guys. As an aside, I’ve noticed that in recent months Madeline Smith (Hammer actress) has been doing a lot of public talks and shows here in the U.K. It would be amazing if you could try and get her to give an interview for the Monsters Den maybe? I have no idea how you would arrange it, but thought it would make a great show. All the best Ian
Also I know that Sea of tranquility is more of a music UA-cam channel. Which is fine cuz I dip in when I can. I really love the crew that talks about the movies and stuff and munster's den is monsters den for sure. However I could listen to you guys like talk about any movies that you saw that I mean if we only just watch horror movies and I know that that's our wheelhouse. I really enjoy you guys talking about non genre movies that you've seen as well anyways love you all have a great week
My October viewings this time - The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Martin, Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde (the Fredric March 30s one), Dementia 13 and Whistle and I'll Come to You, from the BFI Ghost stories for xmas box. All rewatches. The only new ones were Bava's Hatchet for the Honeymoon (actually didnt like this one much) and a handful from the All the Haunts Be Ours box set.
I usually watch a bunch of horror/sci-fi to celebrate the season. This was my largest viewing ever, 101 films. And I always end things on Halloween with the original Halloween & Halloween II.
Craig, Sherry Jackson was also in the Star Trek TOS episode "What are Little Girls Made Of" with the memorable line, "I am Roger Corby!". She, of course, is wearing a very sexy outfit.
YES! Back to being me, I was without and outwith the Monster’s Den circle for too long. Love the show and to hear what you guys have to say about films and really anything else. Thank you all for brightening up my life and introducing me to many films I was missing. Big thanks to Pete, the perfect host, even though when he forgot to introduce the panel a few weeks ago he’s still as close to perfection as human host can be. Bless you all and hope Jamie is OK. Also, if I did have a favourite member of the crew I would keep it to myself.

The Haunting in Venice /2023/ is pretty good. Actually,it is a classic horror tale which I totally didn't expect.

The Hallow (2015)-good Irish folk horror
Sorority Row (2009)-funnier than I expected, but not enough nudity. haven't seen the original.
The New Daughter (2009)-Kevin Costner's daughter gets possessed by a burial mound/stupid
Mirrors (2008)-middling Kiefer Sutherland flick, but it does have an all-time great death scene in it (!)
