There is this funny relation of the more I learn about Bitwig, the more I realise I know almost nothing. Thank you for filling this void with actually useful bits and bobs!

That old chestnut! The pursuit of knowledge so often brings with it an even larger awareness of ignorance. What fun it is to be a conscious being, eh? 🤓
Isn't that right! I watched all these tutorials six months ago when I first purchased Bitwig, and now find myself coming back for a second pass. I'll probably be back in another six months saying the same thing (though I hope not). Awesome tutorials for an awesome product.
As usual a great video, although for a second I hoped you'd do it all while riding the bike ;) Anyway, few comments to those tips: - Recording from multi-out chains - you don't even have to add clips in arranger; just select time, right click and bounce-in-place :) - Multi-out setups - you can actually do it easier: prepare your multi-out setup (add audio-receivers on each audio track too, so you can monitor through them), put an empty clip on the MIDI channel, group the whole setup and drag the meta-clip from the group track to the side-browser; every time you drag it back in it will recall that whole setup with all the routing, etc. :) - Comping - instead of moving bits & pieces to top layer, group the comp takes, mute the bits you don't like and then select time on group track & bounce-in-place it, which will result in composite audio of all unmuted bits

Brother these are some TOP TIPS. Thanks for making my life 1000000 x easier ❤️❤️❤️
Templates, love it! Note I named my group as " Bus" and dragged that right in. Not the top level project. It was under the template.bwproject directory. Also, there is a subtlety in your vid. The audio outputs of the multioutput receiver tracks continue to have the multiout instrument as the input until you delete that multioutput instrument.
I am Slowly transitioning from ableton to bitwig you making my decision much easier! Thanks to your tips and tricks... Thanks bro 👊 keep it up much appreciated....
Great video. In Bitwig there is always something new to know! OT: If there isn't and NDA, can you talk about the certification process in another video? It's a career change or a side job for you?
This is insane, just when I thought Bitwig didn't have certain features like recording multiple midi takes or recording with punch in punch out or even adding/removing time. Sheesh thanks man
@13.15 hahahaha cool!! rythm is in you!!! 👍 👍 👍 (and the groove is in the heart) @02:58 I am now running BitWig 3,3,7 and this is not working :( -- Is there a way to move, duplicate and re-order the Cue markers? (like it is in Logic Pro X, which is one of the main features that keeps me being a LPX slave....)
Been doing that template idea for XO for a while now, such a timesaver. That group effects tip though is absolutely amazing. I had no idea about that. I always hated how all effects were just at the bottom, I was always having to look at them to see what was routed to what, this will literally change my workflow :D Thank you :D

It looks so neat too doesn’t it? Really pleasing on the eyes to have the returns IN the groups. Glad to be of service Mr Happyman 😊
@ Looks great!.... I also never realised the project info page had a notes feature!.... It always bugged me having to write the key of my song in the project filename in order to save it somewhere, this seems more logical. I still wish they'd just give us a basic key label somewhere near the transport controls lol That comping workaround is genius too. You definitely need to make more of these mate I feel like I've learned a good chunk of info here :D

That would be quite handy indeed. So happy you enjoyed the video ✨
I thought I'd finally found a solution to my problem. I need to add one measure to an instrument clip so I tried Ctrl+Shift+ D as shown in your article. This did in fact insert the measure, which duplicated the contents of the selected measure. But it did this by concatenating the duplicate as a new clip, then relocated the remainder of the original clip to the end of the duplicate clip. The result is three clips instead of an extended single clip I hoped for. So I regressed with Ctrl + X and tried again with Ctrl+Shift+P. This time I got an empty measure appended instead of a duplicate of the selected measure, and again the the remainder of the original clip was appended. I'm still searching for a way to just expand a single clip a bit. Cutting and adding new clips renders useless the corresponding Piano Roll Editor for the original clip. I'm using Bitwig 4.01. Anyone have some advice?
Seems like quite a hassle with a lot of unnecessary moves! Why do you feel the need to bounce everything to audio? XO also allows for drag and drop of the midi or individual audio Wav files straight onto the arranger. I assume you're using the new comp feature too?
Fx return put in a group, sending couple of channels to the fx return within that group. Now SOLO one track in that group. How do we prevent the other channels to be heard / leak through the fx return? .... (without muting the channels sending to the fx return) Any thoughts?
Hey Tâches! wonderful tips! Templates saving is great! I was wondering if you know how to get the "follow" function of Ableton 11 (the "beatseeker") in Bitwig. I found in Bitwig that Tap tempo is available even with a shortcut, I guess one would "only" need to convert audio input to midi note and that midi control the tempo. Have you any idea how to do that? I am experimenting with Sonobus, and this feature will be incredibly helpful. Have a nice day!! :)
I write all my own music. Which has become almost pointless now because its easier to buy a vst like Sugarbytes Drum computer. It's brilliant but it makes we humans irrelevant. Setting up this XO in order to create a fast food beat without any understanding or human input is just wrong. Self-drive cars I can live with (almost) but self drive music creation I struggle with. Its why morons like Beiber are just all geniuses!!!! PS; A genius is now someone who can press a button! Music is dying. It's all in 4/4 because products like Maschine make working in odd meters often quite difficult. Am I right?

@ It also helps (to me at least) that Bitwig seems designed to encourage and incentivise discovery.

I had no idea about the note colour and ruler-time-selection tips, life changing!
Nice guy and nice tutorial! That's the combination that deserves a subscription! Much love goes out to you, Alex!

This intro is my favourite part of the internet in Q4 2020.
Dude, you found out how to comp before version 4. You are a prophet!
I am Slowly transitioning from ableton to bitwig you making my decision much easier! Thanks to your tips and tricks...
Thanks bro 👊 keep it up much appreciated....
Glad I found this! I'm going to see if that first tip works on my external synth. One for a feeling it might!

1:05 You can also use the time selection tool to select the section(s) you want to bounce, and then just bounce that
Love this thank you brother! 🙏
Legend!

Great, just what i needed to hear, quite impressed of the cursor speed and how fast you go,(if the video wasn’t speed up lol) thank you!

Ctrl shift I to insert time... Thanks!
Great video! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the insert silence/delete time tip! This was driving me mad. Many other good ones I didn't know also.
This tips and tricks are gold
Super usefull tips, thank you! Also like the vibe of the track, gj
17:02 how your metter jumping without record button selected? the bus track you created

I will be using a lot of them now.
Thanks again TÂCHES :D!
You’re welcome Emiliano! Thank YOU for watching ✨

Fantastic again 🤗 thanks
Tip number 1 is muy bueno
Thank you!
thanks bro really good tutorial!
Thank You, Bro!
Very nice
super useful
Can we have an update for this?
There seems to be no "select all following" comand in Bitwig which is a bit of a shame as it's so useful .
Door dope dope
:D
Amazing
Fire tips.
All the instrumentals of my channel are made in bitwig
Brain cell overload for a novice Bitwigger! Great; excellent! Ta! very much.
Glad it was helpful! Cheers for watching Patrick :)
You don't need to save as a template you can just save a blank group clip
Holly s**t!
