In the late 1970's I worked in Beverly hills, CA., and Vincent Price was one of our regular customers... I had the pleasure of assisting him in our store... and my experience with him.. Mr Price was a Warm and Wonderful person, A true gentleman!..I miss him!
I really enjoyed this. Thank you. I'm in my 60's now, but when I was a child, my parents bought a refrigerator. And with the purchase they got a hardback Vincent Price cookbook. I still have that. It's one of my favorite cookbooks. It has lots of pictures of him and his wife and their home, plus wonderful restaurants and food. The recipes are also wonderful. Vincent Price has so many talents and he shared them all with the world.
I always adored Vincent Price. Loved his movies. He was so versatile. I remember when he did commercials for Sears. My folks had a small painting from his collection. Loved this! Amazing. Thank you. Give the Jahster loves and hugs
Inspirational story about Vincent Price. Great that this unique art work from antiquity is being preserved. Ceramics seem in really good condition. Shout out for all museums/galleries and their benefactors - thank you for preserving these beautiful items. Cool!
Thank you SOOO MUCH for this video. I read his daughters book and found out about this museum, but have never made it down South to visit. It's awesome living vicariously through your eyes.
Great vlog of The Vincent Price Art Museum. Especially enjoyed seeing and learning about VP's Peruvian figural drinking vessels. Thank you, Jordan Lee. What you do is important and has a lasting impact on us all.
What a beautiful collection. I didn't know that Vincent collect art work. I learned something new. It's wonderful he donated to ELAC so everyone could enjoy it. Great vlog. Thank you for sharing this collection with us.
Hi Jordan , thank you so much for doing the show on one of my all time favorites Mr. Vincent Price! He was the best! House Of Wax was awesome! Vincent left a great legacy , never forget him! 😎
This was my favorite vlog ever! I knew Mr. Price briefly and not nearly as well as I would have liked to in the couple of years before he died, through a guy I was dating back then. He had known Mr. Price for a long time, and introduced me and my art to Mr. Price through letter-writing, of all things... Mr. Price was SO warm, kind, funny, and told me I was talented, and I never forgot his kindness to me. Once when I had mentioned throught my boyfriend at the time that my favorite film of his was "House of Wax" and that I was scared to death when I saw it as a kid, he SENT me a VHS copy of it!! I treasure it to this day. :) Can't wait to see this museum someday! ;p
Enjoyed the VP museum, the pottery collection is incredible. A side of Vincent Price I never knew about, thanks Jordan, great vlog. The dog vessel at 5:39 I think might be "guess who" LOL
Love your videos! Do you think you might do something on Shirley Booth and the house in Beverly Hills from About Mrs. Leslie? Give Mr. Jah a pat for me.
Happy 4th to you and Jah😊. Love Vincent Price!! Wow! Love that he loved art. I didn't know that. Amazing. Very intelligent man. He was actually a good artist as well as actor😉. Thank you Jordan. Great vlog!! Much love to you and Jah ❤
They have thousands of pieces, but very little on display at all times. He didnt really collect paintings much from my memory.. more like drawings, or early versions of things.. smaller etchings... mostly he loved the pottery type collecting. He went to mexico ad south america more than probably anywhere else, if he wasnt working
This was great ... I was an Art History major... you just never stop learning. I learned a great deal from your videos... I sincerely hope you and Jah will continue to grace us with your hard work and wit! Blessings to you both!
I love his movies never knew about him being an artist or chef. Happy Independence Day everyone I hope you and you families have a wonderful day. We celebrated with burgers and Smores
MICHELLE DALTON my mother bought a large cookbook in the 1960's by Vincent Price, that covered many restaurants with photos, a photo of each menu, and recipes of signature dishes. Throughout, there were photos of rooms in his home. Each room had a different cultural theme and design. His kitchen looked suitable for a large hotel, with a vast collection of copperware! His estate was breathtaking!
MICHELLE DALTON he purchased a small painting, as a kid in all places, a book store, for I believe, 26 dollars, which he had to pay in payments. He hung the painting above the front door of his home. It was appraised at 3.2 million dollars at the time of his death.
Amazing vlog. That is one museum that I have not visited. Last time I was in LA I was told the museum was in between exhibitions. Will definitely visit next time.
Happy 4th Jordan and Jah! Thank you for the fantastic vlog..i have always liked his movies; now I like him even more. I had not idea he was such a special person. God Bless for people like him.
This was super interesting to me when i was a kid, Vincent Price, and another actor Peter Cushion, used to scare the living day lights out of me and my brother with their films, that was as much as I knew, but wow what an interesting man, the things he collected were jaw dropping, and to leave it for everyone to enjoy, fantastic, Thankyou so much truly enjoyed this vlog, and to you Jordan and everyone hope you have a wonderful July 4 th xxx goooodbye x 😀
Really interesting collection. Hopefully they will get in touch with you again and let you see the rest of it. Not sure if that item in the pic is the same as on the shelf. The head and pose looks different.
Vincent Price has always been a favorite actor of mine. I had no idea that he was also such an extensive art collector until you told us about it I think in another vlog. Thanks for sharing!
One of the best stories is that if he was home he didnt believe in combing his hair or shaving. One time his assistant told him he should brush his hair, and he said "it likes to grow that way"
Loved VP in "Laura." Edward G. Robinson was also an art collector. I wonder if any of his collection is available for viewing or was sold off for estate issues back in the '70's?
Great vlog today, I didn’t know that Vincent Price collected art. The museum was wonderful, if there is any chance that you could go back and vlog the other collection that would be awesome. 😀🌟

Loved this vlog Jordan. I had no idea that Vincent Price collected art, was an artist, and was a gourmet chef. Isn't it amazing how some people just have amazingly fulfilling lives. 🤔
I have been to the Bowers Museum here in Orange County, and I always enjoy looking at all the pottery they have there. It's been quite a while since I've been there, I miss it. Vincent Price is in one of my favorite movies, The Song of Bernadette. It wasn't a huge roll, but he is brilliant in it! I can't watch scary movies anymore, but I used to love them, I don't know why I never saw any of his horror flicks!?! Great vlog, Jordan! I enjoyed going to the museum, thank you!!! 🌼

Hey Jordan, great video ( they always are ) Maybe you could do a video on his connection to Edgar Alan Poe , he did the movie the Raven , I believe. He also did the movie,The Pit and the Pendulum and the Masque of the Red Death. His other movies included, the House of Wax and the Fly. In his later years , he hosted a show on PBS called Mystery, which portrayed many stories of murder , right up his alley. If you read his daughter's book , she disclosed that her father was in fact bisexual, your LGBT + followers many be interested in knowing that. Happy 4th of July Jordan. 🇺🇸🎇🎆🎊
Hi Jordan, very interesting to hear that VP was an avid art collector. I especially enjoyed seeing the pottery from Peru. When I lived there, 1993-1997, it was against the law to take artifacts out of the country. They have replicas made of them, of which I have several.
In the late 1970's I worked in Beverly hills, CA., and Vincent Price was one of our regular customers... I had the pleasure of assisting him in our store... and my experience with him.. Mr Price was a Warm and Wonderful person, A true gentleman!..I miss him!

So it seems acting was a side gig? We should be so lucky. And a chef to boot. Lol. We would have never known so once again Thank-you Jordan.
He would take acting gigs sometimes if they were filming overseas somewhere he wanted to go.
