I use to work in St Ann's group home in Los Angeles California and there I met Clark G love child, a councilor. She told me the story that her mom was one of his lover when he was married. She got pregnant and Clark never wanted to accept the child. So she grew up not knowing her father. The resemblance was definitely there. She was a very attractive woman, she had the long ears, and looked like Clark as a female.

Thank you so much for doing this!!! Clark Gable is a distant cousin of mine. My great grandfather did his tombstone. We have a hand written family tree, by Clark Gable, that ends with my dad. Thanks again!!!

Thank God there are people who save the past. We all think of movie stars and Hollywood as where they are in our minds. But these little towns where they grew up, those are the people that truly are proud of one of their own and they preserve them for all of the fans to catch a glimpse of them. That is a nice museum. Well taken care of and it is sooooo awesome, all those hand prints by people that mostly are gone now too. Even those should be in side in a museum! Oh, thanks for putting Jah in there at the end. He show you what living is all about! Playing! Love ya Jah!

We visited Clark Gable's Museum on September 3 of this year. It was the fourth time we have visited it and there have been some updates since our first visit many years ago. It is a great place to visit especially if you are a Clark Gable or Carole Lombard fan. They have a little room upstairs dedicated to the memory of Carole Lombard. A note to Jordan the Lion: Your video is very comprehensive, professional, and for people who cannot make it to the Museum, a wealth of information about this top star of his generation! Many stars had a hardscrabble background before making it big in the movies and Clark definitely was one of them! I appreciate this online video because I know there are many who browse the Internet looking for such information because they aren't able to travel to places like this. The glass bottom beer mug...I do not recall hearing that explanation and it's fun to know! I so agree with Sandra Nokes remarks. When we were there, we also drove on to view the boyhood home in Hopedale, and the present owner was out mowing the lawn! Thank you again, Jordan, for the Vlog!! Stay safe.

Big thank you to the museum itself. They don't allow recording there, but when I called and explained how big of a Gable fan I was, and that even I hadn't known it was there; that I just wanted to show enough to make people aware, so they'll come.. they did relax their rules and allowed me to film some things!

What a treasure trove of Gable owned items! I actually got to see my favorite actor’s 1954 Cadillac, dog tags, wings, and sled. The Carole Lombard section was moving. I will definitely support the Clark Gable Gift Shop and Museum. Oh, if we could have read Calvin’s mind as Jah was speeding through his space, what entertainment that would have been. 🦁🦋🦁

Hat's off to The Clark Gable Museum for letting you vlog, what nice people, and what a great museum. I'm so happy that his homes are in such good shape, well the one in Hopedale, and the recreation of his house in Cadiz was beautiful, thanks again to the Clark Gable Foundation. BTW, seeing Jah having so much fun should tell you that you really need a bigger place. Thanks for the great vlog.

Good Morning Jordan! What a great museum! I remember going to see Gone with the Wind with a neighbor girl and I mentioned that Clark Gable was not very good looking and her mother assured me that if I didn't like Clark Gable before the movie I would love him after I saw the movie and she was right! I did fall in love with him! So cute watching Jah trying to get Calvin to chase him and Calvin looking at him like he was a crazy dog! Loved this vlog!

I'm a big Clark Gable fan. In the late 90's, I went with a friend and her daughter. That 3-D GWTW art piece you show @3:47 into your video--got there because of me. Just prior to coming to Cadiz, I visited an art gallery in Murray Hill, an Italian section of Cleveland, Ohio deemed LITTLE ITALY. The artist had glossy 8 x 10 copies of this 3-D work. When I brought a copy of his advertisement, I gave it to the cashier, who graciously thanked me. The next thing I knew, I received a beautiful thank you note from the people who ran the museum at that time--the artist had donated the piece to the Clark Gable Museum. I'm still thrilled that I played a role in having it included there. I remember we ate at a little diner, walking distance from the museum. I see they've added some great stuff since my visit, like Carole Lombard's photos and personal possessions. During my visit, Judy, Clark's daughter, had not yet been invited to her father's birthday. I'm glad they finally included her--how could anyone doubt she was Clark's child when you see her face? Your video is great. Thank you for helping me think about my visit to the King's home. Did you know Clark was buried with Carole Lombard? His last wife Kay gave her permission, and she is buried close by.

We, they say "the best things come in small packages" and that is certainly true here. What a fabulous Museum, and it houses so many wonderful pieces of Clark Gable memorabilia and treasures in a small space. I loved his PJ top, sledge, the hand prints from 'Gone With The Wind' stars, oh, and the Carole Lombard section aswell. Oh, how funny were Calvin and Jah running about, I bet he'll sleep tonight. Brilliant vlog again Jordan.

Wonderful vlog full of things that belonged to Clark. Thank you to the museum for letting Jordan film inside. Lots of great information on Clark Gable and some things on Carol Lombard too. Love the Caddy. I bet Clark had a great time riding around in that. It was funny to watch the cat just sit there and watch Jah tear around the house. The cat is like" What the hell got into you?" just so funny to see. Thank you Jordan for taking us to the museum and being respectful while filming things for us to see. I'm quite amazed how you get to film things when filming isn't normally allowed. Just shows how good you are at this. Can't wait to see where we go tomorrow. Take care for now.

Great vlog. I just loved those two together. It was so sad she died so young. Sad for Clark also. Carol was my favorite actress and the fact we did not get to see her age gracefully was just tragic. Favorite movie My Man Godfrey.

Have you read or heard of the book, “Fireball: Carole Lombard and the Mystery of Flight 3”, by Robert Matzen? I highly recommend reading it as it offers an pretty accurate historical account of what happened between Lombard and Gable prior to and during her trip to Indiana to sell war bonds. Apparently, she actually tried to get Gable to accompany her on the trip as his home town wasn’t far from hers. He refused to go with her as he was working on a film with Lana Turner. This created much strife between them and was never resolved due to her tragic death. Based upon Matzen’s book, while on her trip, she kept trying to call Gable at home or the studio but he was either never home or didn’t want to answer. I think this also fueled her impulsiveness to rush back to LA in order to get resolution on the matter. She also didn’t trust Gable with his young new costar. I wonder if she had not died whether their marriage would have endured that long due to his many dalliances with other women.
Anyway, 3 of those posters and photos look very familiar as I used to collect a ton of stuff on Gable from my teens to my late 20’s. I had the full length poster of him as Rhett Butler, the one of him as Rhett playing poker, and the younger one of him wearing the hat and dark pinned suit from a Call of The Wild film still. The other photos of him I remember being in a book about all of his films. I always liked the one of him wearing a white long shirt, jeans, and a western hat posing with his beloved horse Melody inside the barn. And I remember having many other books and photos as well as that 1961 Life Magazine issue that offered an interview with him as he was filming The Misfits.
His son John Clark used to race motorcycles and other terrain racing vehicles. He evidently inherited the need for speed from his father. But he looks more like his mother. I wonder if Gable’s alcoholism was also passed down to John Clark? I heard from some “inside” sources that he isn’t doing too well these days. John’s son got into some trouble a few years ago but seems to be doing better. I’m not sure about his daughter, though. It must be difficult growing up only knowing your famous father through films and stories.
    Long Live The King! LOL
