What a magnificent man Vincent Price was. He is in his final years here, and has Parkinsons Disease and emphysema from cigarettes, his weight loss is dramatic. Yet his brain and wit are as sharp as ever, his natural charm more powerful than ever. And his lifelong love of humanity shines through. Vincent's daughter Victoria said he loved meeting people, and was always more interested in hearing about their lives than talking about his own. A modest genius of rare gifts and grace - we shall not see his like again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful upload, which captures a little of the great man's essence.
Vincent was so sweet with the students! I can't imagine him suddenly walking up and wanting to chat with me about my work. And the part about the girl's hair color was really cute!
Recently discovered these videos. Huell had a unique combination of gifts and skills. He draws people in with his genuine kindness and allows them to tell their stories on their own terms. Huell gently guides them with questions. He was also really funny. He could also be very thoughtful, and this interview demonstrates that nicely. I cannot watch one of his videos without smiling and laughing numerous times, always in a better mood than when I started viewing. One of a kind.
Vincent Price: "Love the hair" (3:41). lol. my comment on impulse for the girl would have been "You've got blue straw on your head!" Vincent was much more respectful and tactful than i'll ever manage to be.
honestly 2 legends ! Vincent art lover and scholar . So much more than just Horror legend. Of course Im a horror fanatic tho. Huell. Miss them both so.
What a perfect tribute to the dear Vincent Price, a beautiful and inspirational man. A gentleman in every sense of the word. I would have loved to meet him.
I can hear Vincent saying, "I don't always collect art from around the world to donate, but when I do, I collect for East Los Angeles." The more I learn about him, the more I think he was truly the most interesting man in the world!
Mr.Price was one of the few great people that ever lived,, we miss you Mr.Price,, i wish you were still here with us now....he made the world a better place...
What a wonderful interview. I loved them both! Vincent was so sharp in so many ways. I regret not getting a chance to meet them both! Thanks for the memories! Vincent is going to always be remembered for his contributions to art and film for generations to come just as Huell will be remembered for his wonderful disposition and journalism which shows his love for California. The Museum is wonderful and Vincent's daughter is lovely! I appreciate the passion this video expresses.
I wish I could have met him personally. I would have gotten a hug from him too. But I only met him in dreams I had about him back in the 1970s, and in my dreams he was the same kind and gracious man that other people have met in person. If I had met him in person, I would have hugged him too.
I grew up two blocks from the college and had no idea the gallery was there … now when I return to L.A. I will have a destination in the old neighborhood (other than Shakey’s 😅)
When you see his daughter, if you look at how Vincent Price looked in Fall of the House of Usher and then you look at his daughter, you can see something of the resemblance
gee-whiz, i never knew that he was acting? i just thought that he was a doctor making movies..:/ Mmmm... Dr. Phibes rises again and again...:] one koooool dude, thanks...:D
The "problem" is that it is beyond fraudulent for an art student to hold oneself out as an artist who has known nothing else in life experience but the art community.

I saw "The Pit And The Pendulum" in 1961...Vincent Price is one of my favorite actors. I never knew how extensive his art collection was...beautiful !
The sweetest man ever! I love the getting hugs part and now interested he was in everything the students were doing - you can tell how genuine he was!

So sad, that Howser's voice ruins this video. It's almost unbearable. And why must he be so LOUD?
He was who he was
