Great video, Can you tell me what kind on porch roof that is, I really like the way they did it?
A porch roof, most likely part of the main roof that is extended past the building.

How did you prep the metal?
Generally just give them a sand, treat any rusty area's, undercoat and top coat.

Is that a wool roller or foam???
It was a wool roller but it was worn so not as many fibre's come out. You can always sand any fibre's out from first coats etc but final coat are best done with a foam roller or a well worn wool roller.

Oil base is best I use Dulux 10L 1-Step Oil Based Primer Sealer Undercoat and top coat Dulux Super Enamel High Gloss. or semi gloss. Stuff water base .
Water based paints are good for timber, walls etc but I prefer enamel for steel work and interior woodwork.

Why did you use oil rather than exterior acrylic.
Properly primed, exterior acrylic will bond to metal just as good as oil. And it dries quicker.
I agree with you but once metal has started to oxidize it's best to use oil based paint.
Okay, I was wondering why you would use oil on exterior.
On metal roofs that are rusting we treat, buff and apply either Luxaprime Zinc Phosphate, or Dulux Acra-Tex RoofBond GI Primer, then overcoat with 962.
On industrial stuff we would use Zinc as Primer and usually a QD Industrial Enamel (Xylene or Butyl Isanol base) as intermediate and top coats

Did you mean to write "metal has started to oxidize"? Or did you mean to write "paint" instead? That is a serious question; I'm not being smart. Thanks. I like your channel.
