Hi Ashley! Thanks so much for sharing your faith. I’m currently going thru your 12 wk post partum plan. I noticed that your children are obedient and do what they’re asked without arguing or complaining, and you never raise your voice. You just speak normally and they do what you ask. I love that, great job. I know this isn’t what you ever typically post about but I would be tremendously blessed by your child training advice 😇 love you. Thanks for your hard work & serving God ❤

Ashley, thank you for sharing your convictions. As I’ve gotten older I’ve found myself convicted in this area as well. Not necessarily with what I have been wearing, but with my motivations. I was following an influencer on Instagram who is a Christian and I started to really pay attention that her clothing was so tight and she had videos that were literally just a shot of her butt while she did squats . She also would talk about God, but almost like “God is helping me count macros so I can get below 11% body fat”. I realized I’m not about that life. It’s good to take care of our bodies, and it’s normal to want to look good, but our worth in Christ has nothing to do with our physical bodies. You are a beautiful and strong woman, but I appreciate that your programs are not about being a hot mom or getting attention.

I think there is a huge re awaking among Christians! You are encouraging!! It is hard for me to do many workout videos because my conscience is pricked for my kids that are watching. ❤️

Thank you for posting! I had recommended you to a friend and she said she didn't do many UA-cam workouts because the women dressed so immodestly and she didn't want her boys to see. Thank you for your modesty! Christian women need videos like yours!
This is amazing Ashley! So so cool to watch your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit in these areas- we’re pregnant right now with our first baby and something the Lord has been making more and more real to me is Obedience is how we show Love scripturally! Even when it hurts 😅 and even in the seemingly small areas…He is so jealous for our hearts and that our first love fire would keep burning ever brighter. I’m so encouraged to see your passion as you communicate the vision the Lords put on your heart for this year. Also way to go with the Bible memorization! Being able to meditate on scripture during runs and walks and throughout the day has transformed life for me 🙏🏼 thanks for your honestly and responding to the upward call 🫂
Ashley, I have been doing your workout plans for years. I have never had any concerns about your dress when I am alone doing my morning workouts. But I will say I am particularly cautious when my son or husband is around doing your videos and generally opt to do some other form of exercise. I am excited for your videos to be more conservative in your dress so I can exercise with my son and hubby and not have to be so cautious. Thank you for you honesty and integrity as a Christian woman.
Aside from clothing, I am so excited that you will update those old videos! I have purchased three of your programs, but when I’m pregnant use the old ones. As far as clothing goes, you have always been so much better than what is out there. I almost messaged you in the past, as I work out around my kids and it would be nice to have more modesty, but that is something I am working on for myself, and how does one say that in a way that doesn’t sound judgmental? You are a better person than me in many ways, I myself continually have to work on modesty, and sometimes it’s better for one to come to that conclusion independent of random online comments. Anyways, I am truly thankful to God for putting you in my life! My body that can still jump on a trampoline after five kids thanks you, and my children will appreciate that their mother gets daily reminders that they are not interruptions to my workouts, but they are blessings.
"My body can still jump on a trampoline after 5 kids thanks to you" this made my chuckle and my heart so FULL at the same time because I GET IT completely. So wonderful to hear from you. Yes, I'll probably re-film the 8 Minute Workout Challenge. I haven't decided either way -- just wanted to share what came to my mind when Luke mentioned how well those really old videos did, and why it made me uncomfortable, and how I feel convicted moving forward a bit more in my everyday attire.

It is so cool to see how you've grown since your earliest videos - and it gives me hope knowing that I'm not the same person I was, and hopefully in another 5 years, I'll be even further along in my sanctification.
Sounds like fantastic goals and ideas for the new year! Thanks so much for mentioning about making your own obstacle course runs! We live on an old farm, so that is something that my family and I could all definitely do together, without breaking the bank!!

Ashley, I've had this same journey and same convictions over the course of time. My attire is SO different in 15 years since I began as a fitness instructor and PT. I am so happy to hear that you are RESPONDING to this call to honor your body and God. It took me a long time and now I sometimes cringe when I think about what I used to wear to Costco 😅.

Hi Ashley, the Lord has convicted me personally too about modesty as well as you have said. I struggled before thinking (well, if this person does it then it's ok for me) but the Holy Spirit has convicted me that is not how I should think and I am accountable for the choice I make for how I present myself and the clothing I choose to wear. This also comes more truly as I am a mom now and want to set an example for my girl too. Thank you for sharing this as it is an encouragement for me in my walk with the Lord! ❤😊

Thank you for this update! I never cease to be amazed at how God works in our lives. I will admit I usually workout in my room where all three sons are not with me because of some of the outfits in the early videos. I'm 4 months pregnant so I have been doing the prenatal videos again. Loved the workouts themselves but wasn't crazy about clothing choices. I am glad to hear this!

OH MY! A retreat! I hope to be able to do this in the future. I have been wanting to meet you in person and tell you how much your programs have impacted my life. I am sorry I missed out on the first one. Love all of this and hearing about what God is putting on your heart. I have actually been wanting to share something with you and the GlowbodyPT community. I recently switched providers to a midwife as we prepare to keep growing our family. During my exam she told me my pelvic floor tone was incredible. I was so excited to hear this and 100% credit it to doing your programs while pregnant and postpartum. I have two children and both were big and born cesarean.
I legit didn't think you were going to say what you did. I kept thinking you were over thinking about the types of recording you were doing because I have been so blessed by your work. BUT! I didnt expect you say that that about your workout wear! I actually agree with you about modesty for us ladies and I pray this desire spreads because I believe we women show way too much in our culture. That doesn't mean we can't wear something cute and becoming.

It greatly helped my body get realigned and made me feel so much better after giving birth and during all the breastfeeding. I plan to use it again after our next child that is due this year. A previous commenter said they think there’s a huge reawakening among Christians, and I teared up near the start of this video because I was feeling the same! I’ve noticed many Christian women, both online and irl sharing how God has been convicting and shaping them and theme I’ve noticed is that there is a movement of women led by God reclaiming a biblical definition of femininity (which looks different for each woman, yet always involves growth in Christlike selflessness to pour ourselves out for others). I’m so encouraged by how the Lord is shaping and leading you, Ashley, and by your humble response. Thanks for letting us in on your journey ❤️
I LOVE your heart for modesty as you seek to glorify God! This is also something I’ve been convicted of recently. I’m so grateful for your humility in addressing past sin and changing going forward! Glad to have you as a sister in Christ.
I, too, am trying to memorize more Scripture this year. Dwell has been a huge help since it can repeat passages while I’m cooking, cleaning, etc. Slugs & Bugs children’s songs have also helped me learn Scripture since my toddlers want to listen to the same songs on repeat. (I have three kids 3 & under. ❤) We recently had a post on our Christian blog, Bone of Bones, about other ways to memorize Scripture.

Currently I'm planning to follow your post-natal plan after baby #3 is born in March and once my pelvic floor has been properly addressed, apparently I've had bladder prolaps since before I ever had my first babe 4 years ago. It’s been so inspiring and encouraging to follow you for the last 7 years. Watching God work through you and develop you has been a massive example in my life. God has used you in so many ways to speak life into me and my family (both old and new videos).
Every year I ask God to give me a word or phrase to focus on. Last year is was “Be comfortable being uncomfortable”. I’m still praying and waiting for what God will reveal to me this year. But I also have a desire to memorize more scriptures as well, and I love the ideas you shared on how you manage to do that.

What I do when I work out outdoors is, I wear a wide and flexible skirt that preserves my modesty. It feels so nice to be able to be feminine, comfortable and modest in all circumstances of life.

I've been saying a lot lately how I don't like how immodest most of the workout girls on UA-cam are and I've been struggling to find something to stick with that doesn't give my little girls a confusing message. I dress differently than the video I'm watching and they notice and they ask. We have great conversations about what modesty is, how to not judge others, but also how modesty is honors the Lord. So I think I need to find more of your videos again!
Even today, my husband was off of work and we decided to do a calisthenics workout together and all I could find (except the one vid we ended up following) was girls in sports bras. I was frustrated! This message is spot on. And I like that method for Scripture memorization! I will be trying that!

Thanks for sharing your modesty mindset changes, I really appreciate hearing someone besides my sister and myself talk like this.
As a mom trying to teach my children what modesty is and why it's important in light of Christ, I've hesitated to let them watch some of your older prenatal videos when I exercise around them; my boys especially, and I'd really rather my husband not be around either, as stalwart and faithful as he is, this is his home and I do my best to protect all of the eyes in our home. I guess it might feel like I'm shaming or judging you but that's not my intent, I actually hope to encourage you to stick with your convictions as the Holy Spirit teaches you. You're sensitive to Him and it's wonderful to see. ❤

THANK YOU thank you- I didn’t think you could get any cooler… but you just did!! Haha wow - this is definitely an area, as a Christian woman that I am always seeking the Lord on. I want to (of course) put some effort and care into how I look and dressing nicely for my husband (and wearing what I feel good in, like you mentioned) but also not drawing the wrong attention or too much attention to myself.. bc that’s never felt right either.

Ashley, thanks so much for sharing. As a woman coming out of a legalistic upbringing where natural feminine beauty itself is often viewed as sinful, its been a temptation to buck against that ungodly attitude with another ungodly attitude in the name of Christian freedom. This was a timely and convicting message for me.

Ashley this is why so many of us love your plans and appreciate you. Your honesty and transparency is beautiful. There are many beautiful moms who’ve created what I’m sure are wonderful workout plans but you, you encourage to deepen our walk with the Lord and to be intentional with our families. I set a few goals to deepen my relationships with friends at church, my children, and the Lord. And then a few to be a more godly mom. Memorizing Romans 8 using the method you described is one of my goals for this year (with the team from Dear Mushka).
Ashley, I loved hearing what God is placing on your heart! Thank you for your honest confessions in how you have grown in your faith. The LORD is so faithful to convict us of things layer by layer with such gentleness.
Would you and Luke be willing to put together a couples' workout series? Maybe 10 videos or so? I like to follow videos, but most of them have women not dressed super modestly that I don't want to do with my husband. However, we both like working out together.
This is an idea we have tossed around! I think the issue is Luke wouldn't be on social media so he wouldn't be giving the guys advice as much and I'm wondering if men would be Ok with that.
Such an encouraging video and so neat to hear how the Lord is working in you and guiding you for 2024. As a woman who loves our Lord Jesus, it can sometimes be tempting or hard to see how much other woman flaunt their bodies or show cleavage, or lots of skin. It was encouraging to me to hear your convictions in this area for 2024. Thank you Ashley!

Hi, I’d love to hear your definition of modesty and how Scripture backs that up. I grew up entrenched in evangelical culture, and while I am still a Christian, I’ve spent a lot of finding things that I was told were Biblical but I now find to be “extra” and one of those was definitely modesty. My understanding from the Apostle Paul is that modesty is foremost not drawing attention to yourself by not wearing things that are lavish or expensive. While I think we can also say that showing all our boobs is properly drawing too much attention to things that shouldn’t, I feel that the term modesty has turned mostly into a moral code for how women should dress. I never see modesty equated to that in scripture. Also, I grew up in evangelical culture in the 90s where the “modesty” focus quickly slid into purity culture where young girls were told they needed to dress modestly to stop men from lusting (again, I believe we should be aware of how we dress but scripture always puts lust responsibility on the one lusting); these pressures and legalistic rules left myself and many of my fellow Christian women from this time with major issues, one such being vaginismus, because there is so much pressure to hold a man in line. I think it is admirable and 100 percent correct to follow your convictions. I love that about you. Just wanted to ask a bit and push back on the term “modesty” and share my experience.
