They need to learn to agree to disagree. They both stated their view of what happened. That’s awesome. They both have to realize that the message sent is not necessarily the message received. And that there’s no ultimate, correct version of reality. We each see things through the lenses of our own experience. Other versions of reality can seem like a tv show, not real, but everyone has their own version of reality. We need to respect each other’s views of reality.

Examining perceptions is okay, but when someone makes you doubt your sanity all the time and feel like you need their confirmation for whether something is real or actually happened, constantly second guessing yourself, they know what they're doing and are trying to break, manipulate, and train you
