Thank you, Andy. I needed to hear those words, because sometimes I focus too much, or I don't.
It's like I keep forgetting I playing the game to have fun.
Turns out, all you have to do is to... Relax. Who knew, huh?

well, the video was posted 3 weeks ago but for whatever reason I didn't even see it pop out. Giving yourself a break is a very good habit to have, sometimes we get too into getting better and/or climbing the ranks, but truth is if we're not having fun, then we're just making sure we hate the game more and more to the point we give ourselves a big break or even the final break and stop playing. I found out that I actually like to train (like doing drills, not labbing) and sometimes I'll just boot up the game, do my warm up drills for a bit (walk back and forth and react to random DI and jump in, the only options I want to have in my drills for now) and if I actually feel "good" after doing 3/4 sets of drills on both sides, then I'll head to ranked or lately Battle Hub and just play long sets with whoever sits down on the machines. That being said, focusing on these drills has shown me something, the more you practice fundamental and "simple" skills, the better your reactions will be, even after you stop playing and practicing drills for a month or two, when you hop back into the game those skills you were practicing will actually feel a lot more natural than before.
So yeah, give yourself a break, practice "insignificant" skills such as anti-airing and whiff punishing, even if you're always practicing the same whiff punish/button against the same character day in and day out, you will eventually become better at the skill(s) you're practicing in general.
I remember doing a similar drill against Ken in SF5 (and I only did it against Ken because I didn't feel like generating a script for other characters) where my objective was to stay outside his max range (st.Hk), whiff punish it and anti-air if he ever jumped, and doing that every time I was warming up actually helped me start to whiff punish other characters, because if you know what you're looking for, reacting is just reacting after all. Just don't try to react to everything while you're training, limit yourself to a few skills, get them as perfect as you can and then start practicing a new skill. It takes time, patience and discipline, but I believe anyone can do it. I hope you had fun at EVO my dude, and I hope being there re-ignited whatever flame you need ignited right now

The name of the game is adaptability. You have to make adjustments.
    Samuel L. Jackson in "Fresh"]
Now, what kinda player am I? Am I an offensive man or a defensive man? That's right, I'm neither. I play my opponent. If he likes to attack, I force him to defend himself. If he's a cautious man, I draw him into dangerous waters. See, you get so frustrated playing defensive positions. You make stupid moves you would never make if you were thinking. When you come here, boy, check that sh*t at the door!

this is the answer to most peoples struggles in fighting games at a high level, being able to be adaptable and forcing your opponent into a fight style they’re not used to. Nailed it💯

Just want to point out that you say to yourself not to systemize things, then proceed systemizing not systemizing. 😔
