You really should give’em a piece of meat before release, so they can bounce back after being caught. The cage reduces the opportunity time they could be out hunting.

Then they start to associate people with food and they become a nuisance animal that gets put down.
The animal is only in there for about 12 hours at most…and then they dispatched or released…
