I been playing Yubel since 2010. I've had 3 or 4 different builds. The first was a DAD variant, then I added Sun Dragon Inti and Moon Dragon Quilla (won a Inca Dragon mirror match way back on Dueling Network simply bc my opponent had NO idea I ran Yubel, and he scooped bc of it). My most recent build is Neos Wiseman, and I want to keep the Wiseman cards in it.
It is BEYOND awesome to see that, of all cards in this game, freakin YUBEL is meta! What a time to be a duelist! And now, Battles of Legend TERMINAL WORLD is on the horizon?! Some of my beloved Hidden Arsenal decks get some love?! I AM HYPED!
For any HERO players, you can have a free "negate" with E HERO Prisma without a normal summon with HERO Lives so now you are nibiru proof which has always been HERO's weakness

I thought it was just the field but I looked again at DPygo's vid and was shocked. Card is even better than I thought. Year of Fire and of Yubel it seems.

Nibiru hasn't been an issue since DPE came out. This would prevent the use of both Crusader and Devicer (hard lock the entire turn) which is worse than getting Nibirued. But this can be solid in Cosmo Neos junk.
Now, if this was "Phantom HERO" Yubel we would be talking!!!!!!

BTW i believe EDOpro has a bug on Throne allowing the summon of Phantom. Since you add it to extra instead of hand, it ends on the "then" part because the previous part isn't fulfilled.
U cant summon it anyways since it wasnt summoned properly
@@yu-gi-lo2425 first, it is summoned properly via using its written special summon. Second, Throne literally states "ignoring its summoning conditions" while adding it to the hand (a private knowledge area) so that it bypasses the game mechanic preventing it from being summoned (for example you can't monster reborn a monster not summoned properly, even with 'ignoring summoning conditions")
So if Throne said "add it to your hand/extra, then special summon it" it would work just fine. The reason is specifically that this isn't added to hand so it breaks the sequence on "then" and stops at that point as I said 3 months ago.
@@yu-gi-lo2425 the wording on throne is such that it ALWAYS works with Terror and Ultimate, even if they get cheated out (instead of being summoned by their previous forms), and it wouldn't work every time if these were in the gy/banished while not properly summoned. Hand/Extra/Deck are the exception.
@@babrad no, ignoring its summoning conditions does not bypass the fact the monster cheated from the ed cannon be special summoned form for example the gy, even if they were summoned the way it is stated on the card
@@yu-gi-lo2425 you don't know what you are talking about.
This kind of Special Summon (fan term "contact fusion") makes it properly summoned and would work with a monster reborn if it had "must FIRST be" making it a "semi-nomi" monster instead of being a "nomi" monster. For example check "ABC Dragon Buster".
"Level Modulation" also has rulings about "ignoring its summoning conditions" and how it works on properly summoned monsters from public knowledge places (gy, banish, s/t zone, XYZ materials)
Meanwhile this ALWAYS WORKS from private knowledge (hand, deck, extra) even if said monster isn't summoned properly yet, for example "A Wild Monster Appears".
I'm so certain about this, I'll pay you a Phantom if you prove I'm wrong. The quotes along this comment are for you to search them and see for yourself, use them.
Very happy to see Yubel be a strong contender. The deck reminds me a mix of kaiju and fire king.

The field spell is searchable through nightmare pain and spirit of yubel isn't it, nightmare throne mentions yubel in its text and both spirit of yubel and nightmare pain access cards that mention yubel
The field spell mentions „Yubel“ monsters (like generically) but not the card „Yubel“ itself. It works similar to cards like Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Bane which mentions „Red Dragon Archfiend“ monsters in it‘s text but it doesn‘t let you use the pop effect of Red Zone since it doesn‘t mention „Red Dragon Archfiend“ (the card itself) by name.

@@Luxren i think your right, from what i understand is : the field is searchable by spirit and nightmare pain as spirit text "add to your hand or Set 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck that mentions "Yubel" and nightmare "add 1 "Yubel", or 1 card that mentions it, from your Deck to your hand, except "Nightmare Pain" so they both work.
Only the throne have a restriction on searching monster, first a 0 atk witch is all yubel card and any others like ( Phantom of Chaos for exemple? ) then only yubel monster ( spirit, yubel 1, 2,3 ) witch mean no samsara for exemple.
Add fiendsmith into this deck and you end with a Caesar including the Rank 10, the yubel fusion, soul of rage, plus your handtraps.
That is at LEAST 6 interrupts potentially 8 for a 6 card hand. Name a deck that can play through that amount of interruption.
We are going from Fire tier 0 to Fiend tier 0.
Phantom of Yubel can be summoned multiple times since no OPT (atm)

Golem prevents the opponent from playing Lightning Storm/Evenly Matched and you can OTK by simply having Yubel+Spirit on field...

@@robertakikitoudur6989 1. golem is not needed to otk the opponent by crashing yubels into it
2. using it as a way to play around evenly/lightning makes no sense as golem does not smoothly fit into any combo line, so you are going out of your way to search golem by giving up other parts of your combo, making your endboard weaker
3. giving your opponent golem will actively benefit them in a format of snake eyes and diabellstar
4. the deck pre LEDE is too bricky to play something like this, even as a one of, And the card doesnt do enough to warrent playing over other things post LEDE
