Damn that Lexus V8 is a screamer. 7,300 rpm redline for such a big motor is impressive. I see a significant bump in power between about 5,500 and 6,000 rpm just like some older Honda motors. Must be a hoot to feel that in the driver seat. That is a wicked nice car you go there bro and the motor sings sweet sweet melodies of destruction. I would buy one over a M5 or E63 any day. This is proof that power isn’t everything.

They are good numbers and make sense with the GSF/RCF having 471 hp.
With bolt on's, my ISF should have about the same as the stock later F engine. Heading to a hub dyno in 3 weeks and hope to see about 420 at the hubs. (400 or so with tyres on a roller)

I think he meant to say the fake exhaust noise pumped into the cabin area thru the speakers. Common practice with cars that have quiet exhausts or not very good sounding exhausts.

335i xDrive makes 333hp stock and 401hp with just a software flash (no new hardware). And transmission is much faster

@@GodKing804 this comment is old... but a 335i does NOT make 333 at the wheels. It’s rated at 300hp at the crank. That gets you barely 260ish at the wheels on the xdrive, about 280 on the standar rwd set up. I know because I had an f30 n55 and stock the car certainly did not make 300 at the wheels. Bootmod stage 2 with intake, catless dp and just a muffler delete got me 365whp. Now with an M4 s55 with intakes, dps, m performance exhaust, heat exchanger, charge pipes and the crank hub upgrade I’m at 480whp on another stage 2 map.

I just purchased a 2016 GS350 FSport and it’s in new condition with 56K miles. I’ve only had it for 4 days but it doesn’t seem fast to me at all. Did u do upgrades? Do u only drive it in Sport Plus? Maybe I just need to get used to the car and get on it harder. Did u end up with the RSR or Tanabee lowering Springs?

Pipes r custom and bigger and closes to my rear diff so I don’t want the exhaust heating up the diff.
Haha at least you know dynojet puts out true numbers not bad . I used to own that same Dyno but I had the awd 424lc2 big boy model with the Eddy packs for high horse power vehicles . My RCF had similar numbers stock as well .

BULLI KID it’s a hard question because I’d say when I was younger I definitely thought so because I had less money at the time but realized it was a lot of work because in winter and certain seasons no one wants to spend money on their rides , so I was without steady cash flow and had to start doing installs and engine work on the side . Most people want to spend money on their cars in spring and summer with a few exceptions . It’s a very specific market and you have to remember there are hundreds of upgrades and software to tune your vehicle now in 2019. so if you ever decide to tune cars you have to either hire people that already know the different software and products for all the different brands of cars or take classes which cost money to learn some of the programs and software that you can’t learn online for free and then you have to constantly retake those courses because they always change over the years to more sophisticated updated versions including the software for the Dyno calibration plus the electric bill for the Dyno plus maintenance and other shop costs . That’s not even including insurance Incase you destroy someone’s car on the Dyno . Long story short it takes a lot of time makes ok money and is long hours but super rewarding because you get to see some of the dopest cars ever . It’s all up to you man, how hard you want to work basically for something you like doing .

FChuckT I hate to break it to you but 4th gear is 1.46:1 , 5th gear is 1.23:1 with 4th gear having more hp than 5th it would mean that 6th gear having 1:1 would be lower not higher. The estimate of 390 whp in 6th gear is probably accurate.

that 405-410 is in line with teh approx 20% drivetrain losses most cars see. Also, and this is important, every dyno reads differently. Mustang v. Dyno Dynamics etc are all different. Another dyno may show this car at 380 or so. You will find however, that Lexus tends to "lie less" than the rest when it comes to output numbers.

True luxury cars do not have economy equivalent. That’s why I could never buy a Lexus or a Infiniti or the even the lower end Audi’s. So I bought a Mercedes. Better fit and finish and the interior is leagues better then a Lexus. The Lexus IS a nice car if your looking for something in between the luxury segment and the economy segment. But I wouldn’t put money into making either fast because the money it takes to do so compared to buying a muscle car or a gtr-your money goes a lot further in those cars and the aftermarket support is much better.

Lexus 24/7. Keep your BMW and MB piece of crap that breaks every other day after the lease or the 50,000 miles warranty. All I have to do is add coilovers, a BBK, suspension upgrades, and my car still last 8 times as much. I'm not spending money on a car unless I'm looking to keep it. Add exhaust, air intake, E.C.U., and other upgrades, I can deal with 0-60 with an added 0.4 seconds on the time performance for 8 times the more reliability. Lexus and Acura all day. BMW and MB are pure garbage... what good is a twin turbo V8 when it breaks due to a hot twin-V design or plastic engine that breaks instantly. BMW and MB design engines for people who have to pay for constant parts breaking.

Because a tune on a naturally aspirated engine like mine will not gain that much power maybe 20-30 hp and that’s not gonna be a big enough difference to really feel. And doing so will void my warranty. So for that small amount of power gains it’s not worth it to me to lose my warranty

The V8 powertrain has a good transmission. When the first introduced the ISF they advertised the quick automatic transmission. Also you can actually hit rev limiter and hold it there, you can here it in the video while on the dyno.
