MAFS producers and “experts” standing by and letting this happen to Paige has put a permanent dark cloud over this show for me. They are willing to let a person’s soul potentially be permanently damaged for ratings...and the saddest part of all? You can tell Paige really trusted them to do right by her. And they didn’t.

They knew that he was still attached, they knew about the tax lien on his subway, they knew about the baby. And paired him up anyway. TRASH TRASH TRASH.

I was watching another review and someone said Chris could have been giving the experts his representative. Similarly to how we often do for jobs we speak to the things they want to hear and we are not the most honest. But after contracts are signed and cameras are rolling he can drop his guard some, he’s locked in now.

As a church girl myself , unfortunately Chris's behavior is not even an anomaly. There are too many predators like him in the church. Its the perfect storm. They know the "church girl " has been conditioned by the black church her whole life to feel lucky to even find a man in the church. They know that these women will keep trying to "make it work" even after it makes no sense, because what the "church folks " will say and they also know if there is any trouble it will be blamed on her. Because christianity is so patriarchal.
If this happens at the "church's" you've gone too, please pray to find a real Bible based church.

This show is so hard to watch. As a single woman I wanted to believe in the Married at first model to see people actually fall in love. It seems like they throw people together for random reasons then hope for the best instead of actually recruiting and monitoring people to see if their ready for marriage. It was so hard watching Paige because I see myself in her. Being mistreated and forgiving for the sake of forgiving. It’s so sad to see and I hope the “experts” intervene and give her some sort of peace over this situation.
Anything involving people and their ability to be honest about everything there will be error.
Im so glad that the real men are digging into Chris bc I saw some men defending Chris’ actions like some fools.

First my favorite scene in this episode was when Briana was comforting Vincent. When she said if WE, need to go home we will my heart was like yeeesss!After this episode I'm done with mafs. I don't watch any other "reality" shows because I don't like to see people get hurt, humiliated, or used. MAFS has jumped the shark this week and done all that and more to Paige. Even if they somehow salvage the situation airing this episode is unforgivable. I will of course continue to watch my favorite reviewers cuz I'm not that high & mighty!

Watching this episode I really felt bad for Paige because she does not understand the power that she holds as a woman. Listen!!! I dont even have a son yet, and I got so upset watching that episode that I made up a whole scenario cussing my son out as if he was Chris, because his mother failed to do so. Instead she made all these excuses for him as if she is not a woman, and how she would have felt if she was in Paige’s position.

Yea, Unfiltered was rough. They made Paige watch that stuff for the first time. She did not know about the "trophy wife" comment, her friends never told her so she was stunned. It was so sad
I thought that was awful. I did not like that at all, and then Jamie asking her questions like she was forcing her to talk about it. I was mad. Paige should have walked out. She handled it way better than I would have.

If you catch the most recent MAFS Unfiltered (i think episode 2), it didn't appear that Paige was feeling Dr. Pepper. I could be reaching, but I doubt it. She just didn't appear to be very receptive to the Dr. and her words of encouragement and affirmation.
I think Paige TRULY trusted the experts and (at some point) realized, they did not act in her best interest. They didn't even try.
Chris reminds me of Luke from MAFS Season 8 his quote "I feel dead inside" after being with his partner Kate. I think the producers wanted a more dramatic of version of a couple like them. Paige sweet and patience demeanor reminds me of Kate.
When watching the show, I always think "what is production not showing us?" Just like Miles & Karen said on your last show, we don't see it all.
Haley & Jacob - I believe they can work with patience & understanding. He should open up to her about how his childhood really scarred him, and how working out is one way he uses to never return to the person he was before. He was probably bullied for being different, socially. He might have Asperger Syndrome, so he just interacts differently with people. It doesn't mean he can't be a loving and supportive husband. Haley will need open up as well and trust her partner to be there for her. They could be good for each other, but it will take effort. Someone said that production kept asking him what he did during the pandemic, so that's why he always spoke about his house.
Erik & Virginia - I believe they can work as well. Erik can be a safe place for Virginia. She will need to address her trauma from her parents' divorce and why she uses alcohol to avoid the pain she still harbors. With AA and counseling, this can be a great marriage! There's no rush for children, until they are BOTH whole, healthy people.
Brianna & Vincent - I believe they will experience the typical marriage issues, with the first being the realization that marriage is not a fairy tale. With calm, open, and honest communication they will do well.
Clara & Ryan - Yes, religious differences are a concern. However, I think Ryan will be an understanding husband and not push her into certain expectations. I think he will take the loving Christian husband role to heart and bring her to Christ by his loving example and prayer. Plus, I have a feeling his parents will be praying as well. Based on her parents at lunch with Ryan and what she said, it seems she might have had a negative religious experience at the Bible college. Once she becomes part of his family and church family, AND if they're kind and loving to her, I think they will do well.
Chris & Paige - This is some hot foolishness! He needs some serious counseling and Paige should learn about boundaries. Paige, say farewell and sign the annulment papers. Totally agree with all of your comments about Chris.
