I love this group. Obviously the chemistry is fire, but I also love that they are grown and act grown. They're young and fun, but *grown* grown. They act their age, and at nearly 40, I appreciate seeing people my age who aren't trying to act 20.
I also love that the content they all create is so naturally interesting without seeming overly produced and packaged. It's really refreshing. I pray the Lord keeps blessing and growing you all, because we all benefit!

Karen leaving the apt was emotionally manipulative. She says she wants Miles to speak his mind about his needs but she really wants to control the whole relationship.

@@moa.2869 OMG, yes. She definitely shouldn't have been on this show because she was for sure not ready. It just adds so much hurt and heartache for the other person who has to deal with the hurting person. But I will say that if he is patient enough, he will be able to be there for her and be an encouragement/show her that she can be vulnerable again. It takes a really special guy though.
EXACTLY!!! She already knows she’s leaving him! She isn’t giving up so she looks good on tv or so she can convince everyone, but mainly herself, that she did everything she could. But she’s been gone since she got the text with his name! This is just an excuse to get away from Myles and for it to not be HER fault. Mark my words, this is going to be her M.O: looking for ANYTHING he does wrong or something she can twist into his fault, blow it out of proportion, play the victim, and try to make Myles look bad. It’s horrible!
Amelia is a master at avoiding conflict. She did it on their honeymoon when he asked about moving and she didn't answer the question (when they were playing chess) and in this last episode when he asked her what's annoying when she did a confessional about how the chore thing was annoying. Hopefully, it doesn't come back to bite them later.

@Tiffany Ford I think they both need to bend more. Brett could try to at least participate in the activities that Olivia suggests esp since she participated in the rock climbing. And she could also just stop trying to force him into her previously established life. Compromises & adjustments are needed on both sides.
@NaturallyNita I agree. I think Olivia and Brett need to get on the same page outside of friends, especially since Brett doesn’t seem to do well in groups. Also, Olivia should have found her own man. I don’t see how you go on a show like this and expect the person to fit seamlessly on your life.

Watching Karen’s actions is like watching a trauma response. She has so much healing work to do and this isn’t the situation for her. Miles apologized to her as he should have - but Karen ABSOLUTELY owes him an apology for her behavior.
Why does Miles need to apologize for asking his wife to talk about her sexual needs and making a joke about a calendar date?
876ME He doesn’t need to apologize for expressing his needs at all; it was a reasonable conversation! However, when he began joking with her about the calendar and took it too far for her comfort level, that’s something he should acknowledge and apologize for. And he did. It wasn’t any type of major violation (in my opinion anyway) but her discomfort was something they needed to address.
T M-10 Frankly I don’t know how Miles has hung in with Karen as long as he has; her behavior is confusing and contradictory. I wouldn’t blame him for completely checking out at this point because she doesn’t seem to be able to reciprocate his efforts in the relationship. However, even if she hadn’t verbally expressed her boundaries previously, she did tell him that the situation made her uncomfortable. Obviously that wasn’t Miles’ intention so he apologized. The only thing missing was HER apology for her poor behavior and overreaction.

Woody has been consistent the entire time about wanting to be a father and husband. He might not execute correctly all the time but that's why Pastor Cal said he needs an Amani bc she will get him all the way together everytime. It does help that he was completely gobsmacked to start and who wouldn't be (there's a reason she's everybody's favorite). They'll have to work at it but I think they'll make it through this for sure. The rest is up to them.

Karen left that night and called a family member or friend and told them what happened, and they told her about herself that night. I think she is putting on for the camera to make herself not seem so selfish and controlling. She left the house to take back the control she felt he took away by being so direct and not playing her games because he is emotionally intelligent, which she is not!

I think Karen’s friend said something a few episodes back about was Karen acting like “professional Karen.” I took that as she acting brand new for the cameras and maybe she doesn’t realize that its coming across obsessively controlling thing.

I believe Karen has had some trauma in her previous relationship, or she was abused. She go defensive when he was asking her simple questions. Also, she felt "Unsafe!" That is very specific. Also, I agree, Miles should have said, "even though, you are upset, you can not leave and not tell me where you are. I was worried. He needs to say, because he has the right to be pissed off.

I figured Karen actual went and smash her ex that night and it calmed her nerves. Then she remembered how much of a jerk her "macho, non-caring" ex is and ran back to Miles.

Right. When he refused to play into her drama, she realized she'd have to grow up and decide to be in it or not.
I disagree because she engaged more but it was still cringe. I think she's going to shape the relationship into what she wants it to be instead of what it should be with both their efforts. I believe she is manipulative and she doesn't realize it. The massage session still kept Miles at a distance. The game with Amelia and Bennett was force affection.

My other takeaways Henry and Christina are def not going to make it. Woody and Amani are the most realistic couple . Miles needs to be more assertive with Karen about when she be doing him wrong and Karen is make small strides but chile 🙄🙄. Olivia and Brett ain’t gonna make it either. Amelia and Bennet are slowly coming off their high and i don’t think Amelia likes confrontation and I slowly see Bennet wanting her to be more serious when needed.

I think he really likes her which is why he was offending about not getting a higher score with rating, he wanted to impress her with his home and next week he says she never initiates touching. I think he’s extremely insecure and damaged because his last fiancée cheated on him, he took her back and then she cheated on him again.
We don't know, Christina could be pregnant but just not with Henry. That day when she went ghost he was getting her voicemail when he made the "Christina MAFS" calls. When she finally came home, she told him that she had been having drinks with friends. Christina ain't got no friends. 😂😂😂

*Unpopular Opinion*
I really can’t judge Karen too harshly. I feel like their relationship is actually pretty realistic when you think about two complete strangers figuring each other out in a new relationship. Looking at some of the other couples, it can be easy to compare and judge Miles’ and Karen’s slower progress, but to me, that’s realistic. I would say it’s difficult for most people to throw themselves whole heartedly into a new relationship. Could Karen be more open? YES. Her behavior seems like it’s keeping him at an arm’s length. Was she wrong for leaving for the night? I believe so. I wish she had taken more responsibility for her response to the disagreement. I do believe she likes Miles, she’s just deathly afraid of getting hurt again. If she doesn’t get that in check, it could cost her a good guy.
Honestly when I look at myself and Karen, we’re not that different. It would be hard for me to open up completely to someone I’ve known for all of 2 weeks. I need time. BUT that is also why I would NEVER do a show like this 😂.
I really think Karen will come around. She’s slowly opening up. I also think her and Miles probably connect more off camera. I’m an introvert like Karen, and a bunch of cameras and crew around would probably make me tense up too.

The expectations of the audience are ridiculous Karen is being her authentic self doing things her way a pace that is comfortable for her. The audience cannot dictate her experience. Yes it was wrong of her not to communicate with Miles about her whereabouts Miles shud have told her that was a deal breaker for him.

Henry and Chritina make me think about Sam(antha) and Neil from a prior season. Sam talked down to Neil so badly at the start that he said he checked out and it was too late when she later apologized after she realized she was starting to like him. He said he accepted the apology and they became friends but he knew he'd never be in a romantic relationship with her.
Amani and Woody are just fun to watch. So are Amelia and Bennett. They are just a joy. I can’t help but smile when these couples are on screen. Production is trying to stir trouble that just isn’t there. The dramatic music and weird cuts from face to face is so forced. These two couples have such magic. I can’t even give the experts credit for them because I feel like these couples are so great that they had to find each other no matter how it happened. It’s just awesome.
Henry NEVER liked Christina from the moment he SAW her. He was turned off by her height alone. He said it!!! Karen is super extra and she has Miles in the friends zone and not trying to come out. She needs to calm down...he deserves better from her or in general.

Um I think Olivia wants someone to go on vacations with and not a husband she is not living in the real world I used to be on her side but now i am re thinking that Marriage is not just "i want someone to do fun stuff with" give me a break....get a male friend that doesn't ask you how you spend your money and you can have vacation sex with...she's like oh its harder than i thought um yeah shes too naïve
It’s probably because she personally knows marriages like that though...every couple is different but I definitely know married couples that do share similar interests and enjoy similar activities together. Does that mean couples that are NOT like that aren’t as fun or something? Obviously not. I don’t think she’s in a fantasy world, I just think she really wanted a relationship like that, but she’s clearly not going to get it and doesn’t know how to handle it.

Damian Wildfong I guess, my point is the type of relationship she wants isn’t unrealistic because I know couples like that. People who mesh so well they’re both able to ease into each other’s lives pretty effortlessly, it IS a thing. As I said, Olivia just doesn’t like that neither of them have been able to do that. 🤷🏾♀️
@TanyaB Agreed. I’m not so hard on Olivia for having a certain expectation of a life of travel and activity, not children or family. It definitely can work and I’ve seen it work in happily married couples. But it can’t work with someone going into this with completely differently life goals, and that’s where the experts messed them both up.
This couple’s downfall is that they sincerely want different things out of life, and on top of that they are two very stubborn, set-in-their ways individuals butting heads. It’d be different if both came in with an idea of what they wanted married life to be but were open to modifying - neither are, but Brett’s just a lot more rude about demonstrating that.
Everybody wants their spouse to have fun woth.. that's not the problem. Brett is probably a homebody or probably insecure about his finances. He was taking the whole money thing waaaaay too personally
Okay, having gone back and watched the episode and then watching this again, I cannot stop laughing at how Marcus looks internally perplexed 😂. There was true confusion as to why no one else in the conversation was tripping about the pregnancy. Then realizing he didn’t catch the joke - priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bennett is past the honeymoon phase and Amelia hasn’t come down, he said he doesn’t want to be put on a pedestal because he’s done that before and it set them up for failure. I think he is and was a little frustrated that she wouldn’t say anything negative about his habits, because that’s unrealistic and he feels a bit like she’s either not being honest or has on rose colored glasses.
Amelia is purposely not sweating the small stuff. Bennett is overthinking himself into unnecessary relationship anxiety. THAT would annoy me yet it didn't annoy Amelia.

Marcus is hilarious. I too don't like karaoke but I hate attention in general so any activity that puts a spotlight on me causes me to retreat. I enjoy having fun in my own bubble. There's no amount of alcohol that can change that part of me.

Brett didnt like the trivia because he didnt know the answers.He doesnt watch that type of tv to be able to answer the questions.So of course he thinks its dumb.If he knew the answers he would have been showboating Look how smart I am type of guy.
Brett was being a jerk about it but I agree that wasn’t trivia.
I saw Brett defending himself on IA about the Trivia session. He said it was in the editing because he actually ended up enjoying it. He said they recorded 2 minutes of a 2 hour session.

I agree. While Olivia can't expect Brett to be all in on some of the things she likes to do, I think she was really hurt that he really didn't even try! Sometimes esp early on in relationships, you gotta fake it til you make it. And it doesn't have to be this unenjoyable process, but you know that you're really doing this to grow closer to the other person. If you can't take one night out to just suck it up for me, then that's sad!

My thoughts since no one asked... Karen is playing a role. She is acting a part. I feel like she is acting how she thinks her parents want her to act. Which shows her immaturity. Christina gives off Henry daddy vibes. That impatient energy she gives off probably takes him back to childhood. Woody and Amani aren’t going to make it. He’s representative is still showing up. Controlling Woody is lurking under the surface. Olivia wanted a roommate/best friend not a husband. Brett is still hurt anyway. Amelia and Bennet aren’t digging deep. Bennet tries but Amelia has a plan in her head of how her marriage was going to be. She’s close to that image so she doesn’t want to rock the boat. Sorry y’all, been holding it in for at least 7 episodes.

I think I sympathize with Karen a lil bit because I am her. Meaning, after having a really bad heartbreak you don’t trust the same. I wish she would have healed properly before deciding to do the show though.

I agree. I think she knows she could fall hard for him, so she’s slowing things down, picking things apart to try to stop herself. I think it’s inevitable, though. I’m a lot like Karen. I just hope he’s still with it as she continues to warm up. And I don’t care how many cameras are around, if I don’t like a guy, I’m not massaging his feet or any other part of him. 🤷🏾♀️🤢🤣
Miles should leave and not continue to subject himself to Karen’s mistreatment. He’s not her therapist and he doesn’t have an obligation or the training to help her from her mental health or emotional issues! Miles is already doing the work to address his mental health issues and Karen hasn’t. She’s not in a place to be in a relationship and Miles deserves more than being dragged and weighed down by her. The best thing he can do for himself and his own emotional well-being is to leave Karen before she does long lasting damage to him.
I was also team Christina on this one as well! Henry barely communicates with her at all so I think that would make anyone impatient! She’s also trying, she could have easily been like I’m out days ago or just hang with her friends or not even bother coming home like people have done in past seasons so I give her an E for effort.
And: it’s a very different thing for him to have noted her impatience to her, they talked about it, and she thinks it’s in the past. Or that it’s an ongoing issue, but just one of those quirks about your partner that isn’t your favorite thing but just is.
But hearing its a dealbreaker is a whole ‘nother ballgame; and not hearing it directly from him is hurtful. It also feels very punitive, like he’s just keeping a list of all the things she does something he deems impatient, which might just be her blowing off steam or showing any form of passion. Knowing he saw me in such a judgmental way would be a real turn-off for me.

1) I don’t think Karen is genuine I her efforts towards Miles. I think she’s just riding the wave until the end.

I agree but I also think the idea of a past trauma is feasible too based on her behavior. If it's the later maybe his patience will make her realize her issues that need to be worked on and endear him to her.
