I thought the Zooms were custom made for Pippen only? He said he didn't like the big bubble which he says ruined his ankles.
These and the Crazy 8 lows are two models I did not think would translate into lows, but somehow they managed to pull it off imo. I know it’s a busy time with a bunch of sneaker releases coming up, but would love to see a breakdown of the Crazy 8 lows from you guys!
I snuck n wore my big brother's OG blk n wht ones to high school as a freshman. He came home from work n seen they were gone n we fought on site when I walked in clean as hell in em 😂😂😂 that was our last fight. I stepped it up by that summer n been obsessed n buyin my own sneakers since then

Pippen used to play in a pair that didn't have air bubbles. They were painted on. He said himself the bubbles used to make his ankles roll all the time, they werent truely meant for performance.
He was speaking about the Nike Air Pippen 1. Everyone knows that. This is a different shoe and was never altered for any player.
@@WearTesters I didnt know that! I thought he was speaking on the cushioned shoes overall. I just dug up some old olympics pictures and they do look like actual bubbles. Nice to know.

I have played in these shoes and outdoor grip is astounding. They squeak and don’t slide at all and I am not a skinny player at 5’7” 186
Lows is not the issue, sales prove lows sell way better than mid/highs especially in Asia cuz ppl's distorted perception of the highs are like 9inch boots thinkin it will make them look really short.
The bigger issue I have is that they A I R is in white fabric, which you know is reaaally hard to clean once they start to get dirty
I had a pair of the originals when I was in middle school and got in trouble for playing ball in them. My mom told me they were too expensive to mess up. Also, the sandal version of these shoes are a travesty.
I really like the material switch-up on the letters 💪
My younger brother had the original ones in black👌 Man, that’s a long time ago - he died in 2000…At least I still have his Jordan 8s and 9s
They almost had these. No puffy letters, keep the lettering shapes but with the piping. Great review matey's.

Oh man I had the all white OGs... actually I still have them. They can't be worn as they are damn near 30 years old the outsole is basically smooth and would turn to dust but I am not getting rid of them. LOL I may have to look into getting those all white lows those are fire!
They should do an air zoom uptempos ! Replace the max air with max zoom !
And Write ZOOM instead of AIR on the side, could be cool xD

Hey Chris and Jodi, great stuff as usual! Long time viewer (circa 2015?) here. I'm totally okay with the title of this video, but could you guys put the shoe's name in the title (at the end) of the video? It's harder to find the video after the fact (several months/years) when there's no name or the whole shoe is not really visible in the thumbnail (that in itself is fine). If there's either of the two that would be amazing! Thanks for everything.

As ive gotten older, im in my 30s now, I find myself HATING the process of lacing up hightop sneakers
Meanwhile I could just slide my feet into lowtops with no hassle
Its the reason my Yeezy 350s get so much wear while my Yeezy 750s havent been worn since 2017
My Yeezy QNTMs havent been worn since 2020
The midtop version of the More Uptempo (the base model) has elastic straps doubling the laces, so you can just slide in and keep the laces unlaced (or loosely enough to slip in and out). And even without this, the laces use an early version of the speed lasing things so just pulling on them tightens it enough to lace comfortably. You don't have to pull each row one by one like on traditional hightops.
Glad to know I'm not the only one still rotatin my 25 pairs of Yeezy 350's, and my 12 pairs of Yeezy 700 v1's..

QOTD: would you rather fly like in DBZ or teleport anywhere like in the movie Jumper?
Parameters: you are able to fly in any direction but flying its treated as running (you need to train to increase your stamina to fly faster for longer periods of time), also bugs that may cross your way could be stuck in your face/clothes/gear; you need to practice the teleportation to not destroy your surroundings when using the ability (like in the movie), also you cannot use the teleportation to commit crimes i.e. get yourself inside a bank vault to steal money.
That colorway and design remind me of one of my favorite sneaks, the Nike Air Veer!!
Exactly my first thought was the Nike sign should have been white or silver it would have definitely made the shoe stand out more but they are still nice

uptempo are a special shoe for me because it was my older brother favorite shoe and the pippen 1s but thos are hard to find, regarding this one looks good to me
I love ninjas but seeing the pirate just cheat and gun down a ninja in history deadliest warrior that always stuck with me. Meaning pirates cheating to win I thought was the coolest thing.

The More Uptempo might be my all-time favorite Air sneaker. Lows were never needed. But I think AMBUSH did a WAY better job at their attempt than this though.

I’m not mad at this, really. Bummed they took the gel swoosh off the back, but a low cut isn’t as terrible as I pictured. Which, to be honest, is not a great thing to say about the state of Nike nowadays.

@3:32 what do designers think of this current regime? I personally don't think much of it all. Last 20-30 years have been a massive race to the bottom, large companies slowly diminishing their products training the customer, if you will, to accept less and to lust for the hype that has little to no substance behind it. I think the concept of revisiting old styles is brilliant. But as a massive Reebok fan I just can't think of anytime it's ever been done well!!!!! Perhaps the Billy hoyles were really well done, they were certainly the best pumps made by anybody in the last 30 years. But I honestly look at the Billy hoyles as an outlier. :)

OG purist checking in here. I've never felt like it's been essential for me to own a pair of Air More Uptempos--that's just personal preference--but I do think the original design is iconic. I wouldn't have messed with it.

i actually reeeeeally like these. i thought it was an AI render when i first saw these months ago but was stoked when they were legit. def gonna try and get a pair for casual/gym wear. i like the stuff the left out, makes them a lot more cleaner & sleeker than the retro's IMO

There were actually some very infamous female pirates, although at least some of them had to pretend they were men due to gender stereotypes etc of the time. I’d probably choose to be a pirate in the golden age, even though I imagine the standard of living was much higher for ninjas, my choice is completely down to Assassins Creed Black Flag 😂 If it’s as visually stunning as that I’m in 😅
A shantytown is what very poor areas of housing made up of sheet metal shacks is called, they tend to be built on top of each other with no permission to be built, as the poorest people live in them. Unfortunately, the precarious way that they’re built leaves them vulnerable to collapse and also landslides, especially when they’re built on hillsides. The favelas in Brazil are a good example of shantytowns
