Lightweight/ minimal sneakers don't always translate to great. Why is Nike keeping prices high and lacking tech and not putting out great performance hoop kicks? Disappointing to say the least
I think the Tatum line has just been a disaster by Jordan and Nike. Some of the most interesting looking shoes, which somehow translates into crappy performance.

I like the other colorways because i like Tatum but not a Boston fan ,but these shoes are just pure style ,he basically said it himself

Tatums shoes have just been like this. I think the 2's were kind of similar in wearability. Best for indoor use. I think even just wearing them outdoors, not to play just walking around, will be tough on Tatums.

Man Nike is really doing all they can to be cheap with their cushioning. Even Lebrons have gone to more basic setups instead of being max-cushioned. Also, it looks like the bounce height test is done while the shoe is cut in half. Won’t that reduce the ability of the ball the bounce since the cushioning has (essentially) been bottomed out due to being cut open (the Zoom unit, for example, will lose tension pressure)? EDIT: Corrected, only uppers cut in half!
Actually was curious how these would play and think the looks are dope. Shame Nike and JB are doing their own downfall due to inconsistencies across their basketball lineup (specifically no shanks and just bad misdirection of changing up a shoe entirely, its traction, etc.)

But I agree, I might end up snagging a pair of JT2s on sale because I like the full length air strobel setup and support felt solid.

Now the Jordan 39 flagship $200 shoe needs a $50+ upgrade because THE MORONS did not have any mid-foot torsional support, & the $125 Tatum 3 is pretty much a $175+ shoe because you need an insole shank to play in them what a joke.

I actually think the peripheral containers work with no shank it’s just they can’t be so uncomfortable that the shoe becomes unplayable
