Thats absolutely crazy. I feel like sometimes these names for a certain style of tattoo like a "traditional American design" is just a fancy name for "messy and simple". The caliber of tattoos people are putting out now days, there is no excuse to get a tattoo that looks like a 10 yr old drew it on you with markers and crayons. Just because he is a "world famous" tattoo artist doesnt mean you should let him put a shitty tattoo on you. That’s a decent prize for that size and from Oliver Peck. Some artists will charge you more for something that size, or smaller. Some will charge you by the hour, have high hourly rates, and run it up to 3 hours
True, most famous artist charge 500 an hour. And an hour tat is tiny. The first female ink master winner, charges 500 an hour. Her tats are amazing and so detailed and realistic, but takes hours and hours to do. So they can easily cost a couple thousand bucks.
