Awesome video as always! Could you put more on-screen graphics/names to make it easier to follow?

Amanda, barbellspin has a video from Miami town council’s meeting (or something along those lines). Sounds like the city asked Wodapalooza to move their event to March (and will pay them for it) to coincide with the spring break. They are also trying to line up hyrox to be in the same month. Something about rebranding the area during the spring break.

I think the teams comp is fun, really creative workouts and interesting to see top athletes team up and adjust to team movements without as much expertise there

Great recap! Lol. I'm glad I didn't watch the event. My initial reaction when I saw the announcement and prediction for next year's event in March... Right away I think they are going to start the open earlier in the season. Perhaps the week following the super bowl. This will give more time for other sanctionals to join especially those in hot environments.

Hi Amanda. This is what happens when you try and produce a broadcast on a laptop. They could have done so much more with a 20-year old Tricaster and a couple of AV students with DSLRs.

I agree with all your assesmennts. Watched the whole live stream (Painful). i think the teams would be more exciting if there were fewer of them. It was hard to keep up with so many teams and heats. Couldn't remember who was on what team or what place they were in. I think if there were fewer teams and no more than two heats it would be easier to feel the competitiion between the teams. I wonder if Wodapalooza is intending to partner with the new professional fitness league in order to compete with Crossfit.

The competition was great and the results highlighted a bright and entertaining future for we fans in this era of squabbling with, and negativity towards, CrossFit as a whole........Great to see James win,if only to finally shut Hiller up.😝
The coverage however was beyond pathetic.

In the past I've enjoyed teams. This year I tired to watch the teams several times and just found it hard. Indy was great!

Adler is definitely better than Sprague. But we will have to wait until they are head to head to call it.

Also agree with broadcast. The sound was a nightmare. I thought day 2 was much better. Can't speak for day 3 and 4 as I found it just hard to watch in general.

John Young mentioned the other week a rumour crossfit games will be sold after the games.. could mean a real shake up in 26.. so March might be significant next year or simply means they want warmer weather for the Floridians??

Good recap! Thanks! I gave up watching Wodapalooza years ago. It sounds like it's a fun competition with great athletes and events, but so hard to watch and follow.

Chase and Bill to me are great on their own, not so good together though. To me, they are both colour commentators. Would way rather see Sean Woodland and Tommy Marquez. Sean is the best colour commentator out there and Tommy's recall of athletes and previous events is far superior to both Chase and Bill.

Yeah that live stream was horrible. I could not even find where they showed the team events in the live streams. I assume it was in the “Conmunity” streams but all those were filmed by only one camera angle and that was the overall view which is a far image that is hard to see much detail of who is who and what is what. Maybe have a separate “Team” live stream labeled as such. Yeah all pretty frustrating to watch but managed to get through the individual Elite streams

The livestream was so bad on Day 1 that I opted not to watch the competition for the remaining days. I'm learning about the outcome through your podcast. Just terrible.
As for the competition change to March, we won't know the impact until 2026 -- if one of the elite athletes who competes on Wodapalooza fails to make the Games. Because they are top athletes, I don't expect it to be too much of a problem. It's not as if they shut down their regular workouts after competing in the Open. They will have to be smart in the big picture to go all out for Wod so that it doesn't hurt their performance in the later months.

Sprague won because Adler, Fikowski, and Roman didn’t compete.

Fikowski? I’m a fan of him but this last games he was in the drivers seat to win and he couldn’t beat Sprague.

Too bad you don't like teams; to me teams are the real crossfit in motion, since it includes team work and CF claims to be all about the community etc. Also, the work outs in WODZA25 really showcased that to me.

100% disagree, I find the teams much more fun than the individual competition! The teams is the fun unique thing about Wodapalooza, getting to see competitors that usually are individual athletes team up is so fun!

Open registrations are down almost 50%. I think it would be awesome if they were competing against the Open. Nobody owes their soul to the Games it’s gotten ridiculous.

I gave up on day 1, the broadcast was just awful. Laura is an incredible athlete and you shouldn’t rule her out, she has podiumed quite a lot and has won the games and Rogue. I think you just dont like Laura and that’s ok🫢
