The exodus trailer was amazing.
The facial expressions when she told him =I love you= actually made me have feelings for the characters.
No other games or trailers in these past years made me feel strong emotions towards the characters.
Sure it looked great, but what is the game? It showed nothing of the game. Are we playing as Maxine through all that past stuff? If so, they kind of spoiled the ending and if not then what? There is literally nothing else to resemble any form of gameplay. It might as well just be a movie.
I was reminded of SW: The Old Republic "Sacrifice" trailer. They don't even speak but so much emotion is conveyed on their expressions alone. Better than some rea life people can do.

We are not interested in cinematic shows we want gameplay

what we all should have learned by now is the more stunning a cinematic demo is the worse the game will be.
developers have shined us too many times for anyone to be fooled by these stunts.
It sometimes feels like all we get is trailers for games that will never see the light of day.

From what I understand the team that are working on the exodus game are the original team that worked on Mass Effect 1-2. I could be wrong
yeah 1&2 where good games, the third was fine half way through but the ending just kills my enjoyment of the series for years at a time...
i don't recall there being many of the original writers left from those teams - would be great if the team got together and did another 1&2 sequel as the team for Andromeda was pure poop from end to end and the less of me3's ending ever referenced the better.

Where did you get the info that Star Citizen: Squadron 42 will EVER come out in 2024-2025?!?
I'll believe it when i see it.
In October 2023, it was officially announced with a spectacular 26 minutes video, that SQUADRON 42 was finished and was going to the polishing and optimization phase.
So if the game is in its last phase of development, it is more than likely that the game will be released in 2024 or probably 2025 at the latest.

I agree with that assessment. They've said it was coming too many times and for too long a time for me to believe in it. If it comes out, great, but Holding the Line for ten years is a bit much.

Pretty sure Star Atlas was or is a crypto game and by that metric I doubt it'll see the light of day, the trailer was probably made to drive interest towards the currency.

I'd rather they fine tune it than release a buggy product. The game "Routine" has been development for a while now but the last trailer put out was phenomenonal.

That Star wars character end design is just plain sabotage. Some people should literally be judged for organized sabotage of a project and livelihood of so many people. Plus here they actually hid the actual real definitive design in the game for the trailers.

Star Atlas looked cool, till you visit the site and hit play now and get a port scan.
It is hard to be excited for StarWars , Mass Effect, or even Outer Worlds 2 due to current state of GameDev. It will probably be riddled with a specific political ideology and all bad.

Mass Effect wil probably NOT be comming for several years. Placing it on this list is just wishful thinking i guess. Also presenting games graphics by CGI trailers without any notion how they will actually look feels wierd.

Yes, and it will end up like Starfield. Super criticized game with many negative comments. We want gameplay, dont you get it guys? I dont want you to tell us, how good and realistic the focken graphics are. Gameplay is the key. How was my father enjoying "Tempest", which game was from 1981, when having so bad graphics? People knew that they cant make anything better, when we talk about graphics, so they did their best to make a game, that will be fun. And this first game "Judas" literally lookes like "Bioshock" with this electrical hand. Sooooo original.
Not sure why this star atlas has the "unreal engine 5" trailer; you click to "play now" and it's some extremely basic website based grid game.
Squadron 42 will only be on the Star Engine, not Lumberyard.

Since he had them starring in Wing Commander, there was no way in hell Roberts wasn't going to have Luke and Gimli in Squadron 42, especially as it's the spiritual successor to the Wing Commander franchise :D

some of them are pretty much what you get in the game such as Judas and Squadron 42 (hell, the MMO it's an offshoot of looks that good if you have decent hardware and it's way behind SQ42 in development), but I agree- trailers should showcase gameplay as well if it's as cinematic as the cut scenes.
