Despite just finding out about this game I REALLY hope this succeeds. I love original ideas being explored by smaller studios. This is the sort of game AAA publishers don't wanna greenlight since they're a big gamble. Indie studios are really spearheading the innovation in the industry at the moment.

I must admit that for a demo, this already looks quite impressive. The base construction seems interesting enough, but the cloning was wholly unique as far as gameplay goes. My ethics and morals was having a field-day. I'll have to wishlist it
I thought the same. My main thought was what if one of the alternates decides that theyre the original version and the rest need to go? It kind of looked like maybe the story has a way around that by making the alternates incapable of attacking the original? Not sure. Super interesting as a concept for not only a game but a movie/TV series or book.

Took me way too long to confirm that the base actually moves. I was feeling a huge disconnect between it and the outside gameplay, thinking the only reason they had it in a set location was so they wouldn't have to design the environment to allow construction anywhere. The fact it actually has a purpose though... that changes everything.

You totally got me interested. I love survival type games and this one kinda beautiful. The "alter" concept is pretty unique.

I like the originality of this game. This reminds me of donor babies. Babies who are specifically created so that their bone marrow, or organs can be passed on to existing children who might be sick or have some form of cancers. He created an alternate version of himself to save himself.
I'm guessing the QC has his mind records because he too was created like the others. Super duper cool concept. Never heard of this game, but love their other entries (even if this war of mine depresses me). Can't wait for both this and Frostpunk 2, but honestly, this even more now. Looks like such a unique experience.

Looks like it is to some extent. You have a set number of days before game over if you don't move the base, plus you have a limited amount of time to gather resources and craft during those days. Very time management focused.
Really enjoyed this. Good looking environment and seems pretty well thought out. I probably would have been killed by radiation first couple of times. Always fun to watch Raptor play through.
40:25 I know what your talking about but i dont know the technical name either. A good example of it is Skyrims world map, when you bring up the msp, instead of it bringing up a map it teleports you to a spot above the world and everything below you is real time.

Most, if not all of what you can do is the result of your life up to this point, and with that is expressed as the result of your experiences and memories. Change the memories implanted in the clone, get a different person with a different skillset.

Even if any quantum link had a low bandwidth that would only allow for voice transmission, even then there should be a frame of view showing up over the long course. Since that does not happen, I think the view is scrambled deliberately. The only reason to do that, is when you don't want people to see you. That means aliens, wanting you to dig up rapidium for them. but hey, that's speculation by me at this point in the vid. Can't wait to play, waiting for the download to finish.
love these types of games... really pushes the scifi imagination to the brink.. tthis game title can can be big if they expand into other planets and theories.. the triple sun rising is epic as well as the lond rotation of the planet until sun rise.. makes you reralize how lucky we are to live with our one finely balanced yellow star & moon lol planet concepts like the wave planet on intersteller are mindblowing & horrifying lol

if the ocean was made of mercury that would be crazy, you would not be able to swim because of how heavy it would be (not to mention toxic) but you might be able to run across it quickly, I am not sure how dense liquid mercury is but it is freaking heavy.
I like the concepts in the game. Lots of niche nerd/sci fi concepts and details. 9:20 I like the white dots appearing when radiation increases. This is what happens to cameras in radiation from what I know. 13:45 three star systems do shift from stable orbits to unstable ones where one or more of the stars will move too close to the planets. This is mostly unpredictable from what I know. 22:45 I think molly was the name of the first sheep that was cloned irl.

Seven minutes in I can see why the demo told me to upgrade my GPU. (I don't typically play AAA games so my old 1650 is just fine for most things I want to do.) It looks incredible.

I'm not usually as much for this kind of story line, but it hooked me. I was disappointed with the dialogue with the clone. The player should have a whole slew of options on how to respond and lead the clone along, with different affects on the relationship and molding the last bits of personality of the clone! For example, if the player insists they are the captain, the clone, believing it had chosen to be part of the project and was asleep, would have a degree of discipline responsibility - which would be different than if it were pleaded with, or we'll all die! Maybe with the wrong attitude, some clones will strongly refuse and have to be harshly convinced - or the player may have to make another clone to get the immediate job at hand done.

a very inteesting concept indeed. the demo seems to be more of a taste of whats to come, than a proof of concept. the game seems to revolve around the plot of using the quantum computer to solve problems that may arise during the story. and that unknown contact, sounds it could be a AI.

Mercury wouldn't pass through an airtight suit, it's also pretty safe to touch if the hand doesn't have any cuts.

Since the computer had records of the other crew members, then it seems like it should have been able to make them as well.
The QC deleted the records for all dead crewmembers when he logged in for some reason. Only kept the main character's mind record for use.
