- Recently I've been promoting my collaboration with the World Cycling Revival in preparation for their upcoming vintage-themed event at the Herne Hill Velodrome from June 14-16th.
For all of you lovely people attending the event, and anyone else looking to try out vintage style, this video provides a style guide for a 1930s day wear look, featuring clothes by the House of Foxy.
I have taken inspiration from photographs of everyday women of the 1930s for the outfit, and then pictures of Hollywood stars of the era, including Vivien Leigh, Greta Garbo, and Jean Harlow, for the make up.
The House of Foxy are a major sponsor of the World Cycling Revival and will have a pop up reproduction vintage clothing store in the retail village where you can shop in between watching cycling and sipping on Pommery French champagne!

1930's is definitely my favourite era! Hercule Poirot had big impact on me growing up and I just wish I could dress like women from series. And with Miss Fisher my love for 20'30's has grown even more :D since your last video I was drooling over the clothes in House of Foxy. Finally a place that sells pretty much authentic 30's sailor pants and beach wear. Just to me all those 40's trousers look too costumey with buttons everywhere. So thank you, I enjoy watching your videos! :)
House of Foxy has some lovely 40s ones that just have one button for fastening. I have my eye on them haha! Yeah there was something so elegant about the 30s look. And the clothing is a little more on the comfy side as it’s more free-flowing from the 20s influence tipping over into the next decade.
MissBeeTown looking forward to next outfit video :D
Elaine Murphy I sooo recommend! Tbh I couldn't watch that movie because I was afraid it would ruin the image of Poirot I have haha :D I mean David Suchet is incredible being Poirot
I LOVE Poirot and Miss Fisher too! Love that era for style
I loved the Miss Fisher series too!
You look amazing! Thanks for sharing a 1930s look...I feel like that era is underrepresented in the vintage community. And as a swing dancer I totally agree: reproduction is the way to go for serious dancing! I hate worrying about ruining my authentic vintage on the dance floor.
Ugh I would love to go to this event 😢 but I live nowhere near. But everyone that is going I hope you guys have lots of fun!
Fashion-wise, this and the 1960s are my two favorite eras. I like the late 1940s, too.
Oh! Your earrings are remarkable! You look wonderful in the '30s look, but then you really are versatile and do all your different decade looks SO well. Spot on! The sunglasses are sharp, too, are they also from House of Foxy?
You're really inspiring me to up my vintage-esque game! I've been slacking way too much on my look, going to binge watch your videos, I think!
P.S. THANK YOU for making the point on the flicked-out liner and specifying the time period it was popular. It's a bit of a misconception that it was done all through the '40s like some tutorials show, your authentic approach is refreshing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & techniques with us. ♥
Thanks lovely! The glasses are actually a pair I got for £4.99 on Brick Lane in London. But others have told me you can get them on Amazon x
Oh wow! Really nice!
Love the outfit!
Beautiful people of yesterdays! Would be awesome to go there for a long visit! So glad they have films of our world 90 plus years ago!
love the eras you pick, and will try some of your examples of dressing for them.
Glad you like it! Have fun! This was a great decade to create a look for!
Glad you like it! Have fun! This was a great decade to create a look for!
Your videos are so helpful! I enjoy diving into the different eras, hearing how they're similar and what made each one unique, plus which starlets to look out for in terms of styling inspiration. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful knowledge.
Love, love, love the outfit!!! It suits you wonderfully!
another amazing outfit!
Thank you x
You look amazing!!!

Great new video with lovely inspiration!
I know this is an old video, but I must say you look fabulous! This look is very classy without looking "dated" (I think.) You're wearing the outfit, not the other way around. I love it!
Very elegant!
I LOVE your top & whole look! I appreciate how you give multiple options & show examples as you talk about each look.. very well done! 👌💖
Thank you darling! X

Love from my heart
I love the look that you’ve created! ❤️ That outfit is gorgeous and your hair and makeup is so lovely.
She looks like Lady Dimitrescu especially when she smiled showing the updo hair.
You look amazing
Yes, that video is amazing! Glad I found it) I got so much inspiration for my animatic series about the 1930s I'm planning. 😄
Oh how cool!
2 things I want:
1) a trip to the 1930s and
2) a dinner date with this lovely tulip.
Miss Bee, love your video! I love that you have that classy 30's look. I'm an author of a book I'm about to publish about a Private Detective. So your video is very helpful. I subscribed right away and look forward to more. Thank you.

Maybe next year!
They are so gorgeous, aren't they!?
WoW! You’re very beautiful lady! This style is perfect for you! Today I see you vlog for first time! You are natural beauty! Happy new year!
I love your accessories here! Those hats were very popular when I was in Italy recently and I really regret not getting one 😩 if anybody knows a place in the UK that sells them inexpensively I would love to know ♥️
Pretty sure I saw some in Sainsburys!
I love your look. Very feminine and the hat is perfect
I wish you would do more on the 1930s fashion,
I also wish you would do videos on David kibbes metamorphosis ((from strictly kibbe Facebook group))
Love this look! Also looved the glasses and hat! Where are those from?
They were £4.99 from a Brick Lane vendor but you can find them for about the same price on Amazon!
MissBeeTown Oh my I’m trying to find them on Amazon, especially the glasses, but I can’t seem to find the exact pair 😞 if by chance you’ve already seen them do you mind sending the link please 🙏🏼
I’m sorry I don’t have a link 😞
I love judy garland/andrew sisters from that time :)
I love this style I recently went from long hair to short bob style hair cut very short I love it but others not so much short hair worn right has such a classic look long hair sorry is over rated. ...:)
What is the web site that you were saying that we could get these 30's clothing reproductions. I couldn't understand what you said it was.
What did their reading glasses look like back then?
Can I ask how tall you are? I'm considering buying the skirt and wondering about the length of it. Thanks.
I'm 166cm 😊
@@MissBeeTownsend Thank you, that helps 😊. I thought you were taller than me and the skirt would be around my ankles!!
song title?
Love your channel so much, thank you for your inspiring videos ❤️ you’re soo beautiful 😍
please share your blouse
Everything in the video is from House of Foxy, apart from my accessories. They're linked in the description xxx
You face fits to vintage style .
Must've taken a long time for women to get ready back then, lots of work to be that put together
Instant gratification is bad for you
I love this look. It reminds me off some of my movie star crushes of my childhood.
