hi Susan, I kept them, because I wanted to wear them again. I did put new batteries in it every time, but it didn't seem to work. Now I know why I kept them for all those years :-)
I'm 63 yrs old and still have some from my childhood as well as my mom's old ones. Thanks for the wonderful ideas. I love how motivating you are. I can't wait to start on them!
I keep mine too! I thought I was the only one, lol! I’m so glad to know that you, and other crafters, save/hoard weird/odd things too! Thank you for the great ideas as well!
I have some small Victorian photographs of women in fabulous flamboyant hats that I didn't know what to do with. This could be the perfect answer. Thank you Susan for your time and patience
Susan is the art teacher we all love. Whenever I do some crafting or beadwork. I pop in her videos to get the creative juices flowing. Thank you so much Susan!!!
I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been collecting watches for a long time knowing eventually I do something with them. Your ideas are awesome. I’ll definitely be trying them. Thank you for sharing.
Mrs. Susan, you create the most beautiful jewelry. Your polymer clay videos, when UA-cam first suggested them to me, were flabbergasting to me. I had no idea. And 2 years later I am still learning, and continue to be grateful that you take the time to help us! We had a diversion along the way. No worries! When I close my eyes, I can see more than before! Thank you! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene
I made one out of a tiny women's dress watch, the face was smaller than a dime. I used a tiny little charm of a swallow on a sky background and UV resin. The magnifying effect of the resin on the little charm is awesome. It was highly detailed but very cheaply made. This way I get to love the symbolism of the swallow (they always come home, year after year) without it getting bent or the gold tone finish wearing off.
I love love love your videos! Am giggling, as a wire artist I did smile when you said you weren't one; I am not an accomplished clay artist as you are so balances! I have used your techniques to make dragon scales and pods which turned out beautifully. I am working (finally) on the box of old watches I have. Keep sharing your talents-- thank you!
Well what a treat, 2 videos from Susan. Thank you ! After a weekend of 12 hour shifts, I can relax now and watch your videos. The best part is I’m off for a week so can try these out😁. I am so very grateful to you for taking the time over the months to make these so we can learn and get inspiration from you beautiful pieces. We are expecting snow ☃️next week, we are in a lockdown, so the best thing to do is make these😁 perfect solution! Take care Susan.💕🐾🇬🇧⭐️
You are the Queen of Recycling! You truly amaze me! I am not throwing anything out, waiting for Susan to come up with a new life for old, broken parts and pieces. Princess Abu has her own chair now in the intro! Love her little snores!!!
Your videos are seriously so calming to me. Here I am sitting in a RIDICULOUSLY LONG LINE at the pharmacy, because apparently ppl here at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA refuse to get their lives together even tho we’re on MONTH 11 OF COVID. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Sitting in my car (I’ve been in this line for 4 hours now!!) binging on Susan & her calming voice watching the artist at work. 🌟💕
A great way of recycling old watches. I really fell in love either the white one. It looked so fresh and bright. That Boho one at the end was amazing. X
I can’t get over how beautiful your work is. You are so inspiring and your bead work is amazing. I love your snoring pup. Ours passed in Nov. on my birthday and I miss her terribly. Tfs💕💕💕🙋♀️
I have so many old watches laying around and wonder what to do with them. Thank so much for the ideas. I going to have so much fun using my old watches. And the parts that you take out can be used in resin or other polymer clay designs. I always love your work. Reusing and wasting nothing. Thank you😊
Now I know what to do with all the old watch faces that I have. I have seen the ones where they put photos in them, which would only work for someone who knows the person in the photo. This project will make it work for anyone, great idea, you have more talent then any one person should be allowed to have. If one color looks good, make one in every color Lol! :)
Hi Susan, Very beautiful project. I do have a bag of watch casings & now i know what to do w/ them. Once again you have created something useful & beautiful out of discarded trash. 🙂 Tfs. ❤ your little pups snores.
Leave it to you Susan to find a use for old watches. Guess who will be searching her attic for some that she saved not wanting to throw them out. Thanks Susan! Can't wait to try this project.
Wonderful! My favourite is the white one then the double watch faces. I do keep all my old watches but never thought I would do anything with them. OMG the last one is WOW,!
i would be hard pressed to pick a favorite tutorial from you but this one has to be near the top. Not only have it collected broken watches to use but my mom has given me her watch pieces collection as well, now that she is moving to assisted living. I think I will make her a pendant.
You are amazing! You have incredible creative vision. I just happened upon your video - I'm not even sure how. I don't make jewelry. I don't do beading or wire work. So it's truly serendipity and my lucky day that I found you. Your creations are extraordinary. Thank you - for the beauty you create, the inspiration, and the lightening of my heart.
I got the fondant cutters in every shape I found. They've become one of my absolute favorite clay tools in my arsenal. That and my Susan inspired needle tool!
Hi Susan. I really didn't think I was going to like this tutorial. I was just thinking old junky watches...Well, you have never disappointed before and I am glad I watched the tutorial! These are simply beautiful! I like your style girl! You repurpose things all the time, never making it feel cheap or junky. Some people just glue an egg carton to a can and call it "art". You don't. I cannot tell you how many stashes I have now of things I used to throw away. Pieces of cardboard, things that make pretty textures...Thank you. This is just another one of your great creations. Thank you for sharing. Now, to go look through my watches...
I'm in awe of how you put these pieces together. The white necklace with pink flowers is absolutely stunning, and I'm really loving the lacy/flower polymer clay beads you've used in several other designs. Wow, Susan, your talent is limitless.
Susan, these pieces are beautiful! My favorite is the blue one with the double cases. Also, love the white one and the last one on the video. Very nice! 💖🌷💍💎
Hi Susan another inspirational idea I just loved what you did with old watch casings!!! I wouldn't have thought about that idea thank you you're amazing I am glad I came across you on UA-cam 👍🙂😍

Every one of your videos are real treasure. You give all the details, many different ideas, variations... you are selfless person and I'm sure many people appreciate you here and in your every day life. Thank you 💗
Those all came out so beautifully. I love hearing your baby snoring, Noel snored too, I so miss that. I may have asked this before but when you store you clay do you wrap each one in plastic ? Thank you again.
Do any of you keep old watches just because you hope that you will have a idea to use them ?
Watches along with all kind of things!!! Thanks for this video! It helps a lot!!!!!
hi Susan, I kept them, because I wanted to wear them again. I did put new batteries in it every time, but it didn't seem to work. Now I know why I kept them for all those years :-)
