I'm glad when you said our track is magnificient! Very proud as Malaysian! Didnt know that you already touch down to Malaysia! Welcome to Malaysia MCN!
Fantastic ! but its a shame that company like TVS has to go to sepang for this. This is a reflection of state of motorsport here in india - With local tracks charging a fortune ( looking at you Budh international circuit ) to host an event. But glad to see them taking this at this level.
Agreed! Though I must point out Royal Enfield is doing a simlar thing with their continental GT bikes in india with seemingly no issues. I went to an F4 race in chennai earlier this year and happened to see them race between sessions. It's super cool.
You have got it all wrong mate! TVS could have easily arranged this at BIC, but this is an ARRC event, where both Indian Oil & TVS have big say. They hosted in Malaysia because that is what they wanted, because , also motorsport is serious & expensive sports, where only rich countries or oil rich one's countries have heft, can't blame everything on India etc... Also online & general coverage of any positive evident organized in India doesn't get the same views or spark like other for obvious reasons, blatant hate & unbiased + racist reporting!
Who would’ve thought we’d see Neevesy reviewing an Indian manufacturer! Been a huge fan since your early MCN "How to Get Your Knee Down" video days. Cheers!
Technically these race machines do share the engine and frame with the BMWs but they are actually based on TV'S apache RR310 sports bike and RTR 310 naked bike that sells in India. Both the bmw bikes that you mentioned do share platforms but the versions made by TVS are much better road bikes with more performance features and equipment. You can check videos about these bikes on UA-cam as well . Please do check out TVS apache series bike you will love it mate.
do they have dual-channel ABS? that became mandatory for all new road bikes in Australia recently and ... this reduced our choices significantly. eg. BMW's new CE-02 (super-lightweight urban electric bike with about 80km range) doesn't qualify 😞 which sucks as I really want one
@@jsleeioabs?!! 😂 you should check rtr310 spec sheet! They even have active cooling seats for that motorcycles. Too much features and electronics are present in that small moto. New rr310 got forged pistons and more power plus clear clutch cover.
Yes they do. They have a switchable rear ABS for track use as well. Quick shifters, DBW throttle, the works. Pretty tricked out. The weakest part would be the engine. It deserves to make way more power. @@jsleeio
100 YEARS !!! and we've never heard of them, WTF. They seem to be running the equivelant of the Yamaha R6 cup, which ran out of money I think. Great news for young riders over there.
Love what your doing on youtube...the tests...questions and stuff..I ride everyday and when not working or riding im watching!...just great thanks to you and the team that puts it al together.
tvs and bmw teamed together and tvs made the apache 310r .......... it sold well years back so bmw decided to do it aswell under the bmw brand........ the bike was already 5 years old before bmw revealed it. but in europe..... we all thought we got a new gem. india had already been having it way before. it was stunning back then, and for how old the design is its really held up well
TVS Apache series starts from 160 cc and they are raced without any modification to the engine. You can race every apache right out of the showroom, they are built with that high tolerance. I have two apaches and I'm very happy with them.
Slight correction, TVS has been around for 42 years (It says right there on the front fender). Nevertheless, great Video Neevsy, love your videos. By the way, of all the manufacturers in India, TVS is the one that has always been invested in promoting racing right from inception while all others were busy focusing on making commuter bikes for the masses.
I test rode the GS 310 and was very impressed. That engine was good for sitting at 85 mph with more to come and so smooth. Roomy frame with good looks, only downside for me was too wide from wheel and front break. Much better value used than a CRF 300l. IF they brought out a 500cc more off road focused version I'd be in. Good build quality as well.
@@AtmaspeaksThe amount of power they are able to push out of that motor is insane. 38hp with only 313cc is impressive. 121hp/L for an inherently unbalanced engine that can't rev very high is impressive. It produces more hp/L than Lamborghini's V12 in the Aventador.

The Oxley Bom MotoGP podcast was such a good recommendation 👌

Initially, TVS introduced Apache with a 150 motor, I still have it for the past 17+ years, done 140K kms.👍🏻
Lmao, if you race every Apache right out of the showroom with no modification, you will came last in every category 😂

some googling says the stock motor makes 38PS, so that's basically doubled the stock power
This year's update bumped the power to 38bhp, previously it was around 34 I don't remember the exact figure.

I feel that 310 rr with BMR badging would sell in the UK
Their direct competitors are KTM and RE in that price segment where they sell this motorcycle
Did you swap to Shoei helmets? Seem to recall Arai?

Kapan ya... Motor lokal Indonesia bisa masuk dalam lomba balap ?
In india ,if they make even half of bike of this version. I will buy it but in reality rr310 which they mass produce is only 10-15% of this version
They also participate in Dakar
When you got to turns five and six, did you feel more like Rossi or Marquez?
this is my home track, and the 5-6-7-8 complex of turns is the best part! it's completely flat on my little 250, it's such a laugh
