    I’m from Florida about to try this. Looks sick. Hopefully I can catch a tarpon or a blacktip or something big. Thanks so much for the tutorial they don’t sell these over here cause no one uses them.

    I cast out an 8-10oz weight as far as I can down current.
    I use 80lb line from the slide swivel and I put a down rigger release clip on the end.
    I'll clip a large bait to it from another rod and let it go out... I do not pulse the rod back and forth like everyone else... I let the waves take my bait out slowly so I'm fishing the entire way down... If I get a bite the release clip let's my line go and I'm fighting the fish straight to the hook with no weight!

    Not sure if anyone noticed but there is an extra loop on each side of this which means you can’t thread the line over the loops to put it on your main line the way it’s supposed to go, hold from the start with pliers and go under and over only once each side not twice. Problem solved.

    Aloha from Australia. Great tutorial. Now I don't need to buy these sliders for a small fortune. Can you please make a video on how to make the stopper? I don't mean a stopper with a ring but the other one with the hook to lock your slider from going backwards once the bait hits the stopper. Cheers.

    • @4c4l3xy
      @4c4l3xy 6 років тому

      Preferred Stock you need to keep tension on your line at all times then it can’t go backwards that’s why it’s made on that certain angle so with tension on the line the slider can’t go back up the line

    • @preferredstock9338
      @preferredstock9338 6 років тому

      Yeah I already know that, I don't think you understand what I mean about the other stopper without the ring. Not to worry.

      Preferred Stock I get them from a bloke on ebay $20 for 5 delivered mate, I think he is in QLD

    • @preferredstock9338
      @preferredstock9338 6 років тому

      I get them for $10 with the stopper from a guy I know who hand makes them. They're not the cheap washer stoppers either. My stoppers are about 4 inches long with a hook to stop the slider from going backwards when a fish is hooked.

    • @ultimateaddiction6688

    Out of curiosity, does this cause abraision to the line at all? I like this method as it deffanatly would make life easier. Need mine for diy slip floats. Where I'm at they simply don't exist. And where I'm from that's all we use. I found a simple way to make the float but it needs a sinker slide. So now I'm looking for a easy and effective way to make them. All the things we do to get that fish lol. But as this is riding topside I need it to not stress my line. Be a real bad day to loose 30 foot of line and tackle lol

    • @ultimateaddiction6688
      @ultimateaddiction6688  5 років тому

      Joe Spawldin it should not cause any abrasion to your line if you don’t scratch your wire within the twist

  • @hzoonka4203

    surely the middle section[first bend]must face down and not up.

    • @ultimateaddiction6688
      @ultimateaddiction6688  4 роки тому

      H Zoonka what ever your preference up or down doesn’t really matter. I like it upwards cause it easier to put the line in. The theory is now anybody get the idea on how to make one Thanks for watching.
