    One Way Slide Buckles, or Australian one way slides are not cheap - however, they are not really that complicated to make with simple tools - here's my way of doing them - it doesn't cost much and the only thing you spend for might just be the wire if you don't already have them - The tools I use are pretty standard and can be found in most households, if not, they are cheap to buy.
    So if you want to make some for your fishing - this is one very good way of stocking up on them and saving money and not have to buy from the shop - the thing with this also is the fact that these can be modified to suit your style of fishing - should you want to modify it to suit your preference, the main part of how to put one together is shown in this video - it's already up to you to customize it according to your preference. Have fun and I hope this helps you out! 1374657803$!$%%@)*$#)!1thneonglnsiwbttatest

      Yo… I bought property marker flags from tractor supply. 100 for 15 dollars, and they work perfectly! The right strength, smooth and slide perfect, beads, and egg sinkers slide on perfect as well. I’m sure you can find the flags at Home Depot also…. Mine turned out better than expected… hope this helps… tight lines!

    I'M STILL TRYING TO WRAP MY HEAD AROUND THIS CONTRAPTION AND WHY PEOLE USE IT. YES IT KEEPS THE FISH STEADY SO IT WON'T MOVE BUT YOU LOSE THE SPUTNIK, WHICH STAYS IN THE OCEAN IN ORDER TO CATCH THE FISH. WHY NOT JUST PLACE A GOOD SIZE SINKER, A LEADER AND THEN HOOK IT TO A LIVE FISH. SIMPLE AS THAT

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  Місяць тому

      You have the wrong impression of what this is.
      This is a non return slide buckle. Slide buckles enables you to cast your sinker first (which goes further because it does not have the drag of the bait). After the cast and positioning of the sinker, you can then slide the bait down using this device.
      In Hawaii, where these were first used, they fished off cliffs that have a steep angle so they can slide the bait down using a simple weighted slide buckle...but that type slides back and forth...while this one in the video slides in only one direction - forward.
      One way slides such as this on the video can be used from the surf.

      @@leelunk8235 Lee, it is always easy to say one thing is better than another if you don't know how things work. A few centuries ago, people thought the boat was the ultimate vehicle for long distance travel - These days, we don't even have that kind of thinking even as an afterthought.
      If you think you can outcast a naked sinker with your setup, physics begs to differ. It's ok if you don't use this...only means you aren't the target market for this sort of thing :)

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  Місяць тому

      What are you on about? All I am saying is you can cast a sinker without bait farther than you can than with bait. then you use the slide to send your bait to your sinker. If you want to see for yourself, cast a base sinker without bait and then with bait and see which one goes farther - don't take my word for it. Like I said, if you don't see the value of this device, YOU are not part of the people the video was made for...so what's wrong? You want to argue for what?
