As someone who is just over 8 years clean, every single verse of this mix hits in it's own way. I'm so grateful to Dax for not only having the courage to make a song like this, but also for using his platform to help others. This is genius.

Goin on over 3 months sober. This song was a big part of me breaking the habit. A part of my health is suffering from the alcohol abuse. But I’m proud to be clean.

Never be silent in this subject, it's so important to keep in people's mind (even if they aren't ready to be sober yet)! You're saving lives, with ZERO judgment, that I can tell anyway.
"Kudos to those who can still get high without problems... keep the humor in it" FACTS. I've said before, my parents have been sober 30 years this year, and my mom still throws out jokes that throws my husband through a loop (I'm almost 39 so I'm used to it), but I'm glad you're finding comedy/joy/honesty in sobriety!
So important. Even if it doesnt click now. As you said it might stay in the back of someone's mind and eventually make its way to the surface.

I was going down that path, but luckily I got out of the environment that was really bad for me in time. When the first thing I thought about in the morning was whiskey, I knew I was heading into somewhere I didn't want to be, so I managed to get out and am so grateful now ❤ stay strong, much respect from 🇧🇻
I got much further along that path that i wanted to. Not a great place to be. Glad i got out and very happy you recognized the red flags and warning signs. That is definitely a big one (that i ignored) Thanks for sharing. Love from Belgium ❤️
Ok, so Dax re-released this "new" Mega remix.
The original remix is about 20 mins long and has many of these same artists + many more on it. It came out in May 2022. This was so impactful that he redid it again now. You should watch the original one. It's so GOOD!

Sick and tired of being sick and tired. I have thought that exact thing for years.

This gets me emotional, I’ve never had a drop of alcohol
It hits hard!
I came close to falling down the slippery slope in late 2020 into early 2021. Luckily, I stopped myself. The pain still sucks to this day. I still drink, but it's casual now and on special occasions. I don't feel like I used to wanting to drown my problems away with a bottle of burbon during that 6 - to 8-month window.
Glad you caught it in time.
I had those periods you described over almost 15 years and then later it finally caught up with me.

I truly believe that, but alcohol is so ingrained in society that a lot of people can not look at it objectively anymore.

I guess I’m kind of in the middle to late part where I want to put it down, but I can’t ask for help
I feel that! Its definitely very hard to do it by yourself, but not impossible.
Ofcourse when one is physically depended on a substance and especially alcohol, its dangerous to quit cold turkey without medical assistance. I did it a few times and it was not pretty.
