Have you seen the ghost of William Shakespeare yet. I stayed in a well-known hotel in Stratford upon Avon. It was 2.30 am, and I was woken by the sound of someone whispering in my ear, AlI i heard was where is my Anne. Which I presume meant Anne Hathaway. 3 times I heard this, and then it just felt really cold. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts, but this did scare me. Was it my imagination, or was it more. Haven't experienced anything since then.
@@MeganRuth william Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway were devoted to each other so much so that even in death they walk the gardens of the cottage. If you ever get the chance to visit whitby where bram stoker had the idea for the Dracula stories. I think you would love the place. Plenty of rumours of ghost sighting there.
We saw Midsummer Nights Dream at the RSC theatre a few months ago, it starred Matthew Baynton from the BBC sitcom 'Ghosts' which my mum is a big fan of!🙂🙂🙂
Thanks for another charming, down-to-earth travelogue, Mercurial Megan. I think I'm right in saying that apart from his recorded birth, ,marriage and death, very little is known about his day to day life, and how he came to write such an amazing and prolific body of work is still a mystery, There are theories but best mot to go there, eh?. I saw the RSC perform 'A Midummer Night's Dream' in Melbourne many more midsiummers ago than I care to remember - unforgettable!.
Like you, I visited before Covid but only for a day. Next time (if) you go, The Butterfly Farm down by the far end of the river is a definite must visit. Then go and get 'wankered' again. I'll be extremely dischuffed if you don't. 🤣
Seen outside a camping shop. 'Now is the winter of our discount tent.' 😁
😂😂😂
I used to live near Stratford-upon-avon and would visit a lot, but have moved to Great Malvern now!!

I went on holiday to stratford upon avon. My two favorite places were Mary Ardens farm and Anne Hathaways cottage.
I didn't get a chance to visit those places sadly! Definitely next time :)
@@MeganRuth Yeah I would recommend. Shakespeares House is right on the high street but these are more in the country or outskirts.

Always enjoy going to Stratford. Nice town---if you can manage to avoid all the tourists. Just kidding!!
😂 exactly!
I don't remember ever seeing that ferris wheel, it'd be hard to miss, so it must be recently erected.
Cool
Sorry, but what exactly was the point of that??
Ah, a recursive question!
I guess it was almost as pointless as your comment 😊
